Sounds rubbish. I want fixes that actually affect me - new gameplay features, weapons, maps etc. etc. I don't care that i can't see a tank shell; if it's coming towards me i don't think being able to see it will aid me in any way.

Since the Euro Force producer addressed this to us that doesn't mean that the patch is integrated with the booster pack right!? :scared:

Delay for forthcoming booster pack, latest Battlefield 2 patch causing the hold up.

EA and Digital Illusions have confirmed reports stating that the release of recently announced Battlefield 2 booster pack, Euro Force, has been delayed. It was originally scheduled to be out on February 8, but word from the pair is that we should now look for it to be released "in the latter half of February".

Euro Force's delay is down to patch 1.2 for Battlefield 2, which has been held up but is required to run the booster pack. "We really felt that it was important to delay the patch and take care of some of the issues that have had the community concerned. This means that it will be released sometime in the next two or three weeks," is the official statement on progress on the 1.2 update.

Booster pack Euro Force welcomes in the brand new European Army in three new maps. Each soldier in the Euro force sports a new primary weapon and additionally four new vehicles - Main Battle Tank - Leopard 2A6, Main Battle Tank - Challenger 2, Fighter - Eurofighter (Typhoon T1), Attack Heli - Eurocopter Tiger (Tiger HAP) - are included. It'll cost 5.99 GBP and will be available via EA downloader.
 
Even though EA just wants money, money, money, and more money. I'll still probably buy it.
 
Well I doubt I'll be buying the booster packs, especially as some of the upcoming mods look kick arse and there free. EA have had enough of my money. Lot nicer when they gave the occasional freebie in BF 1942 and Vietnam.
 
Wee. Good news for me. As I said I joined the lax group in my clan but I've been available to help them out in scrimmages if they are short a person that I've been promoted to eZ reserve. :D And possibly a full time eZ member!!!! Excitement is running through my body like adrenaline right now....crap I think that is adrenaline. :dunce:
 
Which classes do you think in the European army, which are in the EuroForce add on pack look like Brits??

I reckon these classes in EuroForce look like Brits: Spec Ops & Medic
 
They probably took pictures of the British army and modeled them after the pictures. Maybe.
 
One thing that let me down, was how they modeled the SAS in SF. It seems they did not do the right job.
 
Meh. It's EA. They made a great game but they are crappy at improving it. They are beating around the bush.
 
Heck, regular BF2 is incomplete anyway. It should run better on most PCs (I mean come on, I can run Half Life 2 with most settings on high).
 
You cannot run it on PC's with out Shader 1.4, because how they coded the game and graphics.
 
That still isn't a reason as to why BF2 is still unfinished. EA released a broken game.
 
You guys seen the Shattered Faith mod previews on FilePlanet, the team behide Shattered Faith have a bright future into the Games world and market.
 
Hmm, what's happening with these unlocks? I've heard they are related to the next patch, but how? Can i use these unlocks now, or should i really wait until the patch (+ new weapons) comes out?
 
I got 2 free unlocks, but i see 2 MG36's unlocks. One shows the MG36 and the other shows a black window with no image.
 
I'd wait for the next patch then unlock the new sniper and P90. ;)

But then again, I keep getting Invalid CD Key errors. People have been saying to others having the same problem to follow troubleshooting but they still have the problem, as do I.

Don't select the black screen, it's possible to lose an unlock (rare occurance, but it supposedly happened to a few players). I'm so close to leveling at this moment, that I technically have 4 unlocks. :D yay!

Anywho, the clan I play with have been following the 1.2 patch thoroughly and are anxious for the cancellation of the stupid C4 frisbee's, bunny hopping, wall glitching, and dolphin diving. I'm most interested in the lengthened distance of Medpack tossing and improved sniper rifle hit detection.

We have a small heads up announcement regarding the next couple of weeks in BF2. Things are rolling along for the patch and the booster pack, and as expected you'll likely see them later this month. The patch will come first, and be well in place in time for the first Booster. That said, we want to inform you of a small oddity you may see in-game while we get the various aspects coordinated.

Short explanation: At some point in the next couple of weeks, you will see an empty in-game window pop-up, just like you received an award. This is just GameSpy detecting now that when the patch comes out you will get another weapon unlock. You should only ever see it once or twice, depending on how high your rank and how many unlocks you’ll have coming. Once the patch is out, your weapon unlock will be available in the BFHQ tab and you can make your choice.

Long Explanation: The next patch is going to give many players another weapon unlock at their current rank. In order to get the best testing results we are having GameSpy configure up the weapon unlocks now on their end. This allows us to test them in a true environment, which is rather effective. The side effect of this is that when this is first in place you are likely to see an empty placeholder message. It will look just like you received an award and will appear once for each unlock you’ve earned. This message would be telling you that you have received another weapon unlock, but we haven't patched the weapons in yet. So you will see this placeholder message which is harmless. When the patch is in place though, the stats system will think you already got your notification in- game. So you will want to hit the BFHQ tab and unlock your free weapon.

I selected it before you played, i think when you buy a new add on pack you get 2 extra points. Let me explain before I had SF installed i hade no new unlock points, but when i installed it for the 1st time. Well I got 2 new unlock points.

No, like what G-T-4-Fan posted. You got 2 free unlocks for the upcoming Booster pack/1.2 patch release. They are using a 1.2 beta to test the weapons in-house, but had to edit Gamespy's account data to get the weapons unlocked and usable. Basically, when a new Booster/Expansion pack is released with new weapons, the users are allotted atleast 1 free unlock (completely dependent on their rank). You were given two free unlocks based on the Gamespy update for the next Patch/Booster pack (Euro Force).
 
I'm stuck with the current weapons anyway, since I'm only Lance Corp.

One unlock till the G36E though :drool:...
