And I did.
When you cried about this:

*sigh* It sickens me how many people refer to good chopper pilots as ****ing helo whores. It's the same principle as a tank that no one can ever kill. This patch just about does it for me. I will not be playing much BF2 untill the CAL season for my clan starts back up again. Then I will kind of
have to play since they don't have any other "helo-whore" on the team.
..and this...

I DID use the chopper for close air support but that's effing impossible since the AA is so "good" that you cannot sit still for one second, and even if you are taking evasive manuevers it gets you anyways. They've completely ruined that aspect of the game and in turn has made me stopped from playing it all together, pure example of a good game gone horribly wrong by the developers.
Notice when you were just whining, I had nothing to say about it. It is your opinion and forums are for voicing your opinion. No biggie. (though I find it amusing that you would spend time ranting about a game you supposedly don't play anymore)
But then you tried to rationalize what air power *should* be in the game. You've then cross the line from telling us how you feel about a change to what you think SHOULD be in BF2.
And that's always open to debate.
So if you don't want your take about what "SHOULD BE" challenged by someone else, either 1) don't put it out there or 2) take your own advice and ignore it. This goes double if you decide to be cheeky about it.
Or you can 3) articulate a response that actually addresses the points posed by whomever disagrees with your assessment. (imagine that)
But... Fine no realism but I mean now the AA COMPLETELY owns the air, because before yes the choppers were dominating but tbh I found it relatively easy to shoot down a chopper, I do not know what was wrong with anyone else. Choppers were relatively easy to shoot down then, now it's like the damn things have no place in this game! They should have skipped the hassle of recoding everything and just delete the goddamn things.
Stinger/IGLA emplacements can still be engaged successfully by an alert, skilled attack helio crew who make the emplacement a priority. I've read plenty of threads on BF forums where pilots/gunners aren't too concerned. A TV missle can still easily kill a dude in a Stinger launcher, provided the gunner is a decent shot. TV missles don't need 3 seconds to lock on.
Now note I said
priority. If you're just flying around shooting infantry with the gun and not paying attention to the Stinger, then you're going get shot down. Just like if you're in a tank just driving around shooting guys and not covering your '6, some clever guy is going to C4 you.
As for chopper being "relatively easy" to shoot down, I'd say that depends on what you're doing. Are you telling us that before the patch, it was "relatively easy" to shoot down a skilled attack helio crew with the Stinger/IGLA?
