I can't tell if that's an anti-One Man Army video or anti-Danger Close video.

I mean, if you chuck Scavenger into the Perk 1 slot you effectively have infinite underslung ammo, and you can chuck a Thumper/RPG-7/AT4 in the secondary slot; with Danger Close that kit would = death. One Man Army simply eliminates the need for you to find a dead enemy to resupply from.

I almost want to go try it, but I can't, I suck at explosive. Especially at noob tubing. I tried that Danger Close, that lasted about a match & a half!

Its not an aimbot mod, its choppergunner ammo mod. People keep saying its aimbot but its not. You mod the default_mp.xex with a bin editor and it gives you choppergunner ammo from your weapon so if you hit anywhere near them they die. There are detection mods that will let you see people through walls and mark them for you to locate but as of right now the only true aimbots are on pc only.

Cold blooded pro will take the red cross hairs and name from above the person when you aim on them if they have it, I'm guessing thats what your seeing. I'm fairly heavily involved in the modding community and nobody has released any or talked about any DEV files that involve being able to do that, and there won't be any. Just like there won't be any "UFO" (No Clip) flying on MW2 because they pulled the DEV string that we were able to use to do that. I don't know about on PS3 because I only have the 360 version to be able to look at all the code in it though.

Damn, mapmonkeys does you real good.

I learnt something yesterday that apparently alot of people know, when your in killcam and you press start all of the enemies appear as green arrows and the guy that killed you is a yellow arrow, it shows all of the enemies positions regardless of any perks. Apparently people have known since the start of cod4 .

Exactly. I think people are complaining way too much about certain things in MW2, hoping they may have it changed. Heck If IW gave in to all these mass complaints there would be no variation in the game. May as well give everyone the same guns, perks and killstreak setups.

Here's a pretty entertaining video. It's a youtube video, but I can't post it directly due to language. We all know about people abusing(or utilizing ;) ) One Man Army, and this is pretty crazy. Just for the record, I've used One Man Army(standard) like once.

.

Have any of you ran into this problem against someone? I haven't logged enough time to really run into most of the problems people are having with certain flaws like this.

It's kinda hard to tell if someone is (ab)using that kit, because it's not like they're camping in a corner with a mate and boosting, which is blatantly obvious. It just looks like any ordinary DC noobtuber with a 5 7 11 KS setup - you'd have to actually catch them in the process of changing kit to realise that's what they were doing.

It's the Scavengers you need to watch out for IMO, because One Man Army takes up your secondary slot. AR w/ noobtube + AT4/RPG-7/Thumper in secondary slot + Scavenger & Danger Close > AR w/ noobtube + OMA in secondary slot + Danger Close

I don't think a Scavenger setup would be any more advantageous over a One Man Army setup. Sure you can carry around more explosives but to stock back up you need to actively seek out packages to pick up, plus it only gives you half as much ammo(in one pack) as One Man Army.

I mostly find more packages as a Scavenger than I actually need.
No wonder my accuracy is so low :)

I use a Scavenger Setup for Domination games and honestly, you have to get into a line of fire sometimes to reload that noobtube. Plus, it will only pick up if you are out of an item currently active... Meaning if you use your two grenades but don't shoot the gun or drop a claymore, you won't scavenge. One Man Army lets you chill out behind your team more so and play it a bit safer.

If you run out of underslung ammo simply run over a backpack while you still have the attachment active. I do it all the time. :p

Huh? What are you guys talking about, Sharky?

Very rarely. There was this one guy who kept on claymoring my butt, I was really annoyed by. It was long ago, I had no idea how he was doing it at the time.

So The Cracker mentioned that we witnessed someone elevating themselves 50 feet or so into the air above the mini sub hangar on Sub-base last week.
Does anybody care?
Personally it took the shine right off the game for me.
I hated Sub-base anyway, as there is not really an opportunity for a useless player such as myself to survive in such a massively intense firefight all placed around one doorway at the back, and running around the rest of the map is just boring as there is no-one there. But now I have witnessed someone using a tactical insertion to re-appear 100 feet above me in mid-air so that he can reign down death from a difficult place to spot when you're only looking for mortals, not superman in a ghillie suit, I am completely disgusted with the map, and usually leave the lobby if it comes up, rather than run the risk of seeing another flying Ghillie.

Your thoughts?

:irked:👍

As said before in this thread, they are elevators and are extremely hard to patch and so I doubt they will. It is complicated and most people cant do it so it is quite rare, I dont care and I have never seen anyone doing it in public match.

I like the map, and I like that backdoor way. Especially up on the stairs. :p

I understand about the hackers. It killed World at War for me. Completely. I never even reached the maximum rank.

I've seen people attempt the glitch but never seen it in an actual game. I'm not sure if it's easier on PS3 though.

I know what you mean. In WaW there were a lot of elevation glitches and some of them were pretty annoying. But they patched them eventually...

To be fair, I didn't fall in love with that game, not at all the way I did with the CoD4. I couldn't stand the clumsy(perhaps more realistic) WWII weapons, or shooting Japanese people. :p

Come to think of it, it wasn't really the hackers, it was the glitchers. Sorry about that. It was those guys shooting me from under the map, like on Castle, Downfall(I think), etc. They totally distracted from the matches.

I wouldn't worry about elevators in public matches at all since they aren't the easiest things to do. Most people can't even do them at all. If somebody wants to lay under an overhang for the entire match trying to get into the elevator thats fine with me. I can do them but I don't in public matches.

Ahhh I see, thanx guys, it's just me being a noob then. I just assumed that as I'd seen one person floating up on high, that I would now start to see more and more of them, and I'd have to check that doorway, the one behind me, the barrel over there, the crate over there and every inch of sky.....

:irked:👍

Yeah, the best advice I've received here might be to keep the eyes busy. Look, look, look. Also position yourself, so you don't get shot from the back, or the sides. It's a good idea to keep the back turned toward the walls, or edge of the maps as you move.

Edit:
That One Man Army trick(or is it a trick?) is bad, guys. Really, bad. Unlimited claymores, unlimited noob-tubing. It's like crack, too. I've been play for an hour or so, and that's all I'm doing. I hope I get bored of it, real soon.

P.S. Don't worry about me causing any epic damage though. My killstreak would actually be longer without this stupid trick.

I just gave it a try, and I don't see what the big fuss is, really. I do no better, no worse than what I usually do. Actually, I say I do worse.

I never liked the noob tubes. The damn grenades never go off! I guess I'm too use to shooting the enemy. I was really getting mad that the grenades weren't detonating. What's the point of this when the noob tube wont work?

Plus, you can't use more than two claymores at one time. Plus, plus, they blow up after a certain time has passed. It's not like you can litter the battlefield with claymores.

However, I need to continue with this to unlock some challenges. I unlocked a lot when I first started, but I don't know what else I can do now.

Is there a percentage completion to unlocking the 'pro' versions of these perks? If so, I need to continue with this so I can unlock Danger Close Pro, and One Man Army II.

DC Pro is 100 kills (with explosives) IIRC. Very very easy to unlock if you chuck a noobtube onto your favourite AR and pack some semtex. I don't think the multiplayer %age completion has any bearing on what you've actually unlocked, it's all down to the level you're at, so you don't need to unlock DC Pro and OMA Pro if you don't want to (did I understand the question correctly? lol).

Yep. Tired. I hope I made sense.

Oh sooo tired. :scared:

You are shooting them too close to you. There is a timer, very short, before they'll actually arm. Likely designed to keep you from killing yourself with them...

Yeah, I was getting mad at the timer thing. There were couple of funny direct hits.

And you were right, Solid, on the claymores. You can set only two at a time. I found out after I edited my post.

I think I do slightly worse with them, but it's just so much gawdarn fun! :dopey: I got the One Man Army Pro, but didn't even think about Danger Close Pro...... Just checked, 88/100. I'm getting there! I don't even know what I earn in Pro! I'm excited regardless!

I just got a 33 killstreak on Wasteland with no nuke on. I got a 33:1 KD in that match, beautiful.

I sucked today. My killstreak was along the line of...... 12?

I had a blast, but my k/d went from 2.04 to 2.02. On the prestiged account. Do the math.
