Christmas shopping

I got some shopping to do this weekend. I have to buy stuff for my mom, my older sister, and my nephews.

Should be fun! I like last min. shopping. :reallyodd

I'm mostly done. I just have the guys in my family to buy for and I need to get some books for my boyfriend. I don't like buying for guys because I never know what to buy. I know one of my brothers is into racing, but I don't know who his favorite is, so I have no idea what to get for him.

I have to pick up my Mum's picture, but that's it. The rest of it's done, and the Amazon stuff arrived today, so that's cool.

You're a guy, what the hell are you doing? Is it legal to start shopping before the 22nd, when you're a male?

Well, at least you did it from the convenience of your own home with Amazon.

I hope my gift arrives by Christmas.

Yeah, but I'm married, and wives start worrying about this in October...

I try and avoid the retail experience whenever possible. I now get most of my groceries delivered as well.

Getting my girlfriend the new System Of a Down CD.

Wow man, talk about a great gift. I'm sure she'll love you forever when you buy her this. :p

I haven't done any Christmas shopping. I too am a last minute shopper. Christmas Eve is when all the prices are slashed anyway. ;)

I'm mostly done, too. I'm waiting for one on-line order and starting to get worried. I got my wife her main gift like a month ago. And I finished the rest last night. Going to the mall on the last weekend before Christmas is absolutely out of the question. I know my limitations. I have to go out one more time, to Walmart, no less. Then all I have to do is wrap.

I bought my dad's gift today, and who knows when I'll get my mom's... other than that, yes, I'm done! :D (Having no siblings nor neighbors makes Christmas buying so much less painful on the wallet...)

When I was in college, me and a bunch of friends would drive down to our mall around Christmas -- the busiest mall in several states -- get there really early, and take up the closest parking spaces to the store. We'd shop for a little bit, put the stuff in our cars, then drive home in one car. Then we'd just keep the spots for the rest of the day, much to the agony of all the holiday shoppers, probably.

But they couldn't do anything about it.

Ah, being a nuisance to society...

Woodfield Mall?

Christmas shopping? I've been done for a month. I've already forgotten what I've bought! Short term memory loss , ya know. :weird: :weird: :weird:

I went to a department store to get my wife a new purse. Now the only time I really shop is around Christmas so I am a very inexperienced, inefficient shopper. I went into the handbag section of this department store and I just shut down. My eyes glazed over and I was totally overwhelmed by the thousands of purses they had. So I meandered through the endless purse-rack wilderness, sweating. I ended up panicking and running away to a small shop and found the perfect purse in like five minutes.

I don't know how people can handle those department stores. Do we really need that much selection?

Not in my opinion. But apparently people like it since those department stores are soooo popular.

I decided to get the wife an extra present yesterday - a shirt from Thomas Pink. Not cheap, but it's good quality, and the sales girl was excellent.

Thing was, I was going to meet my wife after buying this gift, and so I needed to conceal it. Any form of Pink packaging and the game would have been up. I had planned for this though, and had my laptop bag with me.

The sales girl picked up that it was a present (funny, me being in Pink-Woman!!), and she wrapped it up in a box, with a bow and stuff, but before selecting the box, she tried it to see if it would fit in the laptop bag, and then went off round the store looking for one that would. We eventually found one, and the deception remains complete. The present is in the house, right now, in front of her nose, and she has NO IDEA!

That, to me, is service.

Almost Done

-Flowers for mum

-Soccer Video (still trying to get it)

-F1 Lego (for meh)

A theif decided my house would be a good place to go christmas shopping last night. He snagged about $800 worth of wrapped presents.
