GRiD 1 AI was better because they actually tried to avoid stopped cars. In GRiD 2 they just plow right thru stopped cars.

Are you sure you're not playing online and mistaking it for the single-player game? I've watched quite a few videos of the game on YouTube, and I haven't noticed AI that acts like people who like to ram their way to first place in any of them.

Haven't gone online yet,heard some horror stories about it though.I thought the AI would at least be similar Grid 1,oh well,just have to make the best of it for now.

It's pretty much the same as any online racing game.

The only difference is that it has arcade physics.

Spun out, crashed, or stopping not to plow thru others. I race with full damage & hitting a stopped car kills me.

Ive noticed in elimination events the AI becomes very aggressive and in tier 4 they become a little more pushy.

Also i don't know if its just me or not but every time i try to load the RX7 on a drift event in Okutama my game freezes in the loading screen.

I just did a Face Off against Harrison Carter & he intentionally tried to take me out more than once. We were side by side & he clearly slammed into my side. It made for an interesting race. I also notice that if you hit the AI hard they will return the favor when they get the chance.

I have a problem with Bruno Silva. Everytime we're in a race together we crash at some point. A Brit and a Brazilian not going well together in Motorsport, where have I seen that before....

I know this is a Grid2 thread, but I got the original Grid free with the Steam download & I must say it is a lot of fun, once I got my T500 dialed in. Grid 2 is Ok, but I now I really understand what people miss about the original. Grid came out in 2007 & it was ahead of its time IMHO. Much easier to load, looks great on triple screens! I will be uninstalling Shift 2 Finally found an arcade/sim in Grid (1) I enjoy as much as GT 5.

I absolutely hate drifting on this game. It doesn't make any sense. The cars grip way too much to be drifted well. I was on about 100k about 12 times then randomly 400k?

But yes, you're kicking my butt in the other events.

Everytime I fight back I seem to get told to ease of the aggression having nearly been killed by them or end up worse off after hitting them.

I haven't read through all 87 pages of this thread yet, but is anyone else experiencing this?
Everything I pass at the side of the road seems to have a sound like another car passing me at high speed, and sometimes even multiple differing exhaust notes seemingly coming from my car.
I expect the first is probably a bug where it's currently going "meeeyaaoowww" instead of "whooosh", but the second one currently means I'm unable to use the game with manual gears, as I can't actually tell for certain what engine revs my car is doing without looking at the tach.
I'm on the PS3 version, and it seems to happen from all viewing angles.

Rivals are automatically generated by Racenet every week. You can't choose whos on it.

You can choose on the site: https://racenet.codemasters.com/grid2/welcome between random nobodies or friends but you have to add friends on the site so you have to type in their racenet name.

I dont get how devs create more problems when they release a patch.

I also find it retarded that i cant start a new career without deleting my current save that would wipe away all my online progress.

But I think I don't have you as a rival in game. Says two random gibberish names are my rivals
