I’ve got an n300 Lobby up if anyone’s interested. :)

It would be pretty cool if PD would add some super speedways and Nascars to the game, again. Check out the action from yesterday's race, where the Busch brothers duked it out in the final 2 laps. I think there are a lot of other people that would like to do this kind of racing in Sport Mode.

@Pigems @Winnie847 @Stencedaddy
Thanks for the Race earlier. Had to leave due to my wife finishing her baking. Had to Help storage all those goodies on my stomach.

Threw the Race on the 2 hairpins on the last lap.

I normally use the Maserati on N300-400, at 600 the car suffered from understeer, but ir was a rocket acelerating.

Hope i can join you all more often

Well my weekend done. And it was Brands that saved it. 3 clean races in a row while in the pack and racing hard? Never thought I would see it and was surprised I could do that many laps without a mistake on the off lines myself. I still hate that track, but it saved my DR, back up to 14k and my sr staying up at 99. Had a fantastic race where i was able to ride someone's bumper the whole lap to pressre without touching until they wobbled wide allowing me a free pass at druids. It was good as we were clean butunfortunately he got rammed out by a usual suspect at the last corner after I was past. Had another good race swapping places over a few laps as well, all clean and no touching, lost out but it was great that we both had some hairy lines and gave each other room. Now to start looking ahead to nextweekend

Thanks for coming to race. I love being able to race using my shifter but not sure how i won the last race to be honest lol. I have lobbies going at random times pretty often. You guys can add me if you wanna see my lobbies in your friends thingy. I usually host road car lobbies like that, sometimes track day lobbies. Sport mode been pushing me away lately lol.

Couldn't best my time at brands so i went back to A race lol

Had a bunch of good racing today jumping in and out. A few here, a few there. Even saw @Winnie847 in the last few i did. Just so happend they were also some of the best races i was in all day. Also had @BenRod and some other folks commonly seen in the daily race a... great to share the track with you guys :gtpflag::cheers:

Well, it’s too bad I missed the lobby action Saturday, I was looking forward to it, but helping a teenager learn to drive takes priority.
This game literally has an aura. It’s literally generations upon generations of games building a community which is neat.
That said, I am new to this community.
One issue has been bothering me a little about daily races...I’m not complaining, more explaining my own opinion...So...Watchout...
The issue comes to that of the fallen a plus. If you have driven in the 99 lobbies you may have experienced this...
A plus up front...something happens a mistake...what have you....
You get through...
It seems like sometimes some of the really fast guys view others as ‘cones’ or ‘in the way’. Sort of just cars to be shoved aside to prevent dr loss from a daily race...
I AM ONLY SAYING A FEW of the really fast, but they are there...
So, to me what seems logical is when someone is clearly lining up to shove me aside is using my experience to prevent that obvious attempt to ricochet my car into the sand and further, if possible to turn the tables and put their car into the sand.
Racing is a bit like chess. For every move there can be a countermove.
So far in my time in game, I kinda go well, he’s fast, he shoved me aside....Next...No more.
Further, it was said earlier some players don’t respect ratings or what have you.
Hey bro, if you made a mistake I am in front of you fair and square, and I am not a speedbump!
In any fair competition someone has to lose.
I always do my best to race SANS contact, however when someone clearly chooses a position that’s hopeless and will only result in me getting the worse end of the stick, I will not stand for that.
I’ve put my time in too!
I’m not saying this is some widespread problem, only that there are certain players who will treat humans like ai, and guess what?
Some of us AI have the antidote for that now.
This post might seem a bit negative but it’s not, I’m just really stoked that I learned new ways to deal with obviously sinister attacks. Like poker don’t reveal your hand or you might end up IN THE SAND!

Stay thirsty, my friends

On one of my Daily C (Sardegna) race happened (the "DR D vs eight DR A+/B" room) something like that. The guy behind me (somehow after the pit he was behind me) was 5-6 seconds faster per lap then I was (and he knew that...) but he just can't wait for the long straight where he could easily overtake me, he had to push me out of the last corner => grass + wall riding + time loss.

Got to love the qualifying for Daily Race C. I thought I would do a quick few laps to see where I could get, and worked my way down from a 1:26 to 1:22.9. I figure that there would be about 1 second at an absolute push if I nail every corner . Check the best laps and someone is already down to 1:20 :banghead:

I foresee a lot of practice before i even attempt the race

In this weeks Race C all three tyre compounds are available. Interested to see how the strategies play out, and at 15 laps I'd expect a pit stop will be much more viable than last week.

I haven't done any tyre wear runs yet, and for the first time I race I have no idea which tyre to start on.

And I have to say it because it's such an irritation, but why can't the SF races be TWO make? You know, like Race A is! It is only an irritation but it really bugs me!

1) Blue flag
When the leader/faster car catches up with me I (and everybody within "range") become a ghost. Is the guy behind me/front of me becomes a ghost to me?
Quitting
2) If I quit before the race start is there any penalties for it (DR, SR)?

Managed to get within 4 tenths of Kie's time at Fuji (which is as close as I'll ever be)
Here's a replay of the lap:

Had a bit of a slide out the chicane which probably cost me a tenth or 2 and last corner was a bit wide but other than that I don't think I can do too much better.

OOOhhhh SF cars! How funnnnnnn!!
I'll run a few qualy laps probably. Don't plan on racing much because I'm trying to focus on Nations which is in the same track with the X2019.
I'll spam that race to death after Wednesday, that's for sure. Hehe

Yeh, it also means the guy behind you, not just the person about to lap you can drive right on through you.

Quitting

Depends how much before. I think once it's at the stage where people are doing warm up, it's too late to cut out. Back when the re-set bug was an issue, you didn't loose anything when you were ejected just before the warm up/pre-race chat screen.

Was bored last night so knocked up a strategy guide for daily race C.

First time doing anything like this so a little rough around the edges but not bad for a first effort if I do say so myself lol

Feedback welcomed but constructive please :p

No one cares about GT sport daily races.
This game has some serious issues, it's an absolute disgrace to keep advertising it
Polyphony must do something about it

No one cares about GT sport daily races.
The fact that this thread is the busiest on the forum, racking up three pages a day (and 40,000 posts in total, 10% down on the two-year older General Discussion thread), says otherwise.

Thank you for your well thought out and detailed comments. The fact that there are hundreds of posts every week on this forum solely relating Daily Races means that you are wrong that "no one cares".

What "Serious issues" that Polyphony must do something about have got you so upset?

No one cares about GT sport daily races.

Aside from the fact you've specifically come to a place where people do care, I thought I would just check "Daily Active Players In Sport Mode" on Kudos Prime, and it looks like approx 30,000 people every day on average do care, and it's been like this for almost a year.
