Had a really nice race in Race A.

Battled with a Belgian guy in 1st and I overtook him on the 2nd lap. He passed me on the 4th lap and I tried overtaking him on the last corner but I accidentally nudged him slightly.
Could've taken 1st from there but as a mark of respect I slowed down a little so he could take 1st again. I know nudging happens in racing but I came into that corner way too hot and it felt very dirty.

Exchanged compliments in post-race chat after though, so I think he knew that it wasn't intentional. :)

I made a video. Remember you have to be in 'Qualifying Time Trial'. Not 'Race Entry'. You'll have to excuse my shonky driving. I was using the controller instead of the wheel and wasn't used to it :lol:

Yes, done all of this, in Qualifying Time Trial, but no ghost appears!

So can somebody help a brother out and just tell me the best strat for race c this week? First race c that interests me since the gr3 nurb 24h.

Is it no stop just short shift and make the tires last strat again?

I did one race with the Lexus prototype and I had to make a stop for fuel. I think if I would have short shifted for the entire race then I could have got away with not stopping. The tires were ok over the race distance.

I’m going to try the NSX next.

My first ever race at Sardegna, after 11(?) test laps.
Started at 10th (everybody was DR D except for the guy in the front who had a A+ rating... How? Why?), finished at 10th but... the race was amazing :) ! I really enjoyed it :) . No stress (new track), just pure drive for fun.
In the second lap I got a big "and he's name is john cena!" hit and lost 4-5 positions but after the pit stop I managed to climb back a little :) .

try checking to make sure your "Display Ghost" options (at the top of the screen) are set to display the ghost.

Also, there is a bug where if you load a ghost, but do not complete a full lap before restarting, the loaded ghost will not appear for the restart. Also, sometimes, the loaded ghost starts several seconds AFTER you have passed the line, so it looks like it isn't there at all.

I'm beginning to think that watching Lester's fastest lap is a waste of time for me. I'm on controller, and he's got a wheel and pedals, and trying to emulate what he does is a fool's errand. Watching Matt Jones' lap was actually more useful to me (he uses controller).

All I'm saying is that if you're usually a #100+ driver, you probably won't be able to do what the #1 guy is doing, and sometimes trying to replicate his lap can just really mess you up.

When I tried to do what Lester did at Maggiorre, I ended up slowing myself down, But even though Matt Jones has a little slower time, I learned something from his replay that made me faster. :odd:

I agree. If I try my butt off and put in tons of time I can claw up towards the top, but anymore I am not going to worry bout it.
I’m not going to lap a million times for qual.
I end up driving in a way I can be consistent and have fun.
 
It took me nine hours to get back from Goodwood - should have been five, but for some very stupid queues and electrical gremlins in this week's test car (yes, it's French) - so although I scheduled this post earlier, I didn't have time to move its thread into this one.

Just home from the lake. Camping was amazing and i feel my soul is a little refreshed after 2.5 days in the woods by the lake.

Looking forward to getting behind the wheel later tonight. Is race A just the camaro? I haven't done many laps on that layout of the track but old school is a bit of a strength for me so i hope to do well this week.

Yep, just the Camaro. Be warned that the circuit doesn't really fare well with the car... Alot of tight turns that you can understeer like hell on if you don't know how to drive the Camaro.

Of course, that results in a few pile ups and cocky rammers. Still a fun race though.
 
Got the Camaro down to a 36.8 so far, still a bunch of small mistake in that lap so I think a 35.9 may be possible with some more practice. This car is so much fun to drive!! I love it. :D


For those who were asking how to load a Top 10 Ghost, here is a walk through. It’s pretty simple. :)


To toggle the ghost on/off mid lap you just need to go into settings and assign the button. :)

Pretty chuffed with that in the 'Get-Out-Of-Jail-FreEvo'. Though the game reckons I have a 31.5 in the locker. Sometimes I think OPT stands for optimistic rather than optimum. Heaven knows where it's got that idea from. I lose time through Graham Hill and Surtees as always. Whatcha gonna do?!

Sardegna > 23.2xx
Using the trust AM adVantage. Turns 1-5 OK. The rest of the lap? No clue.

I may go back during the week. I may just race Brands. Who can say.

I did some laps at Maggiore in the Camaro before work, today. It was pretty fun. I like the East layout. They should use it more often.
I think I need to try a couple of different things.
- Firstly, I was using TCS 1, and BB 0. I wanna try it again with TCS 0 and BB 2 or 3.
- Secondly, I got a good idea when I was watching a forklift, today. I think I'm gonna over-rotate the car at turn 1, throw it in reverse, then whip around turn 2 super quickly. Everyone knows that rear steering is more agile. I can't believe everyone's not doing it. 👍

Did a couple of Q laps for Race C with mAh bOi the NSX, since it got some love on the bop, and the track is pretty fun. Got a 1.20.15* i think i can break into a high-mid 1:19. But so far its a good time.

For those who think the MR Cars are too twitchy, the SLS is a great options, as you can safely power out of any corner with its super stability
