I'm at 56.23 with a controller and I don't know if it correlates to a wheel, but I seem to get a bit better lap time when using traction control on 5.
For me, the big problem is with the steering. I'm barely moving the wheel to get through these turns, which makes it super easy for me or other G29 users to turn too much and ruin the lap.

That and if you start to lose balance and swing around, you're a goner.

That's kinda my point. 1.5 to 2.0% slower than the fastest of EMEA puts you in an extremely large populated group and nowhere near the top. Last week's race B my qualifying time was 52.424 (1.015% off the top) and I'd often be starting around P7-P9 on the grid.

Nope, I was all over the place out of the box  But to get into the higher rated lobbies (particularly for FIA) you need a high/max SR. It didn't take me long to both realise this and work out how to prioritise SR. With over 2,000 races under your belt I'd argue you've had ample time to do the same, although if farming wins is more important then that would actually explain our difference of opinion.

Just out of interest, what kind of response were you expecting from your original question? Also, what are you goals in GTSport? As wins come so easy for you are you targeting a place at a World Tour Event?

I’ve basically “win farmed” my way to DR A+ twice in the space of 25-50 days, yet it’s taken you 250 days to get to DR 40k once with your clean SR? Get your hand off it mate.

I’ve been in top splits in FIA races and can’t crack a top 10 finish. What’s your point other than stating the obvious?

My 54k DR suggests I’m well capable of winning against though opposition. Asia isn’t a cake walk either.

I compared some of your times (DRA+ asia guy) with mine (DR B europe guy)

yours 347(rank in region) 1:53.456 1.550 AUTOPOLIS INTERNATIONAL RACING COURSE
mine 1111(rank in region) 1:53.430 1.466 AUTOPOLIS INTERNATIONAL RACING COURSE

yours 296 1:47.637 1.646 Autodromo Nazionale Monza
mine 4030 1:48.262 2.293 Autodromo Nazionale Monza

yours 255 3:57.628 1.866 Circuit de la Sarthe
mine 1199 3:57.781 2.251 Circuit de la Sarthe

woah, asia looks very competitive... so, yeah, cake walk
Your top drivers are more or less as fast as ours, but in between, there is nobody.

Clearly I've bitten off more than I can chew with someone with such an awesome DR compared to my pitiful attempts. The only point I was making is the one @gtpierre has re-iterated and goes in some part to answer the question you asked.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy your wins 👍

Great snap shot mate. Manipulate the stats to suit your argument. I’m crap at Autopolis. I’m slow at Monza and rarely race at Sarthe.

Damn, no Gr. 3 this week is a bit sad, also we had Lago Maggiore two weeks ago already.

But anyway, looks like I gotta start learning how to drive LMP1 with a wheel, haven't driven them at all since I got it.

And yet despite all that, you're 800 places higher in your region than someone with similar times to you in another region, even at your crap tracks.

Which is the point. There's a full order of magnitude more players in Europe than Asia; for every one person between you and the top step of the podium, there's ten for someone equally as quick but who races in Europe - making race wins harder to get.

I can’t argue with this, I’ve set top 10 times in NA that wouldn’t even have cracked the top 100 in EMEA.

Which means there is more chance of me being matched against even high rated players in Asia because the pool is smaller as opposed to the pool being larger in EMEA and more chance to be matched against similar rank drivers.

It works both ways. Racing similar ranked drivers means less of a performance gap and would increase the chances to win.

Not pointing the finger at anyone. Not being L33t, but how is it some of you blokes have so few wins? I don’t think it’s that hard to get a win in GTS.
Is that supposed to be a response to an earlier post I haven't seen? It seems a bit of a confrontational thing to just throw into the thread out of nowhere.

Started with Race B. Was awesome until I get clobbered on the first lap. Dropped to last and 10 seconds behind. Stayed on RS even at tyre change. Fuel economy was only at half tank while others were at 20%. So much for hybrids.
So nimble and fast on the straights. I'll try the Jag and Sauber next.

Got punted on the start of the final lap. Still finished 5th

Since I made my Daily Mileage, of course I'd be gifted this :

:banghead: JUST RAGE QUIT Race B!!! I started 15th, behind a Slophy and a 4C ahead of it. A Scirocco must have spun out. It spawns with a penalty and we pass it. It divebombs me at the left-hander hairpin. KNocks me off track, gets a penalty and I'm way back about 5 seconds behind last. Then, as I'm trying to get in my rhythm, my right rear catches dirt. Off I go. DONE! Not touching it ever again.

Since when do Quali times correlate explicitly to winning? Your arguments are false. Why can’t I win from 5th or 10th. Isn’t that the point of racing?

Damm, @iGoFast and @QC YALUM are already at 16.6 on Willow! Nice laps guys!! What cars did you guys use?

No one says you can’t win from there, it’s just statistically much less likely and in a faster group, it’s near Impossible.

I tell you what, IN Virgin Australia Supercars, the racers that qualify in those positions ask themselves the same thing!:p  ;)

What are the rest of the pack saying in F1? ;)
It can’t be that easy Bro, you couldn’t even keep up with me and @sturk0167 (40k guys) the other day in my practice
Lobby for Big Willow. ;)

lol

What you talking about Willis? I beat you both in one race there.

And I don’t even class that place as a circuit. Worst track in the game. They should “unupdate it and remove it from the game.

Talk about your all time backfires, I’d have sworn we beat you!

Wow. The thread has digressed into an "I have more wins than you" argument . Poor show.

I am looking forward to Race C this week. I love the Lago Maggiore track, but I have never driven anything faster than group 3 around there.

@BjoBosUndies Look I know my lowly DR means I should be keeping my hand off this but just out of interest, what exactly are you asking / stating? Is it plainly that you are fast and awesome and we're all slow and rubbish? Or is there an actual conversation you want to have on the subject? Genuinely would like to know.

You win lots of races.

Congratulations.

Would you like a medal?

Twisting words mate. I said it’s easy to win. Not I have more. And the first fella that replied tried to imply my wins are less legitimate than his because he is in EMEA. Let’s see how many he gets when and if he gets to A+

I think it’s easy to win. And I’m genuinely surprised by the low number of wins from blokes that have hundreds of races under their belts.

1.) I have no wins.
2.) I just said it was hard.
3.) I won't get to A+.

Maybe you weren't referring to me.

But this has gone on too long now. You asked a question with the pretence of humility. Didn't like the explanation. Attempted to impress superiority and got ****** when we bit back?

I normally like your posts around here and thought you were up for a constructive chat. But what point do you want to prove here?

Some find it harder or easier to win than others. Great.
