Hopped in Race A last night in the Carrera RS knowing full well I was terribly inexperienced at Fuji and I’d probably picked the slower of the two available cars.

I got pole and two wins on my first two tries. I guess everyone I was matched with was just worse at Fuji than me?:confused::confused: I certainly wasn’t setting record laps, but I’ll take it.

I did a few runs with the 997 shortly after and picked up a few more wins, it’s clearly the faster car by like 3-4s a lap.

Only seen the TS050 win so far in race C - looks like it's still competitive, even with the compulsory tyre change.

Been running the 908 myself, made up places in every race, but it doesn't feel like I could win with it!

Came to the conclusion I hate streamers. It’s just full of A+ drivers that don’t bother qualifying at all is Race C. Why can’t they organise the splits by qualifying lap time and SR? Least the big headed look at me I can win from the back streamers would then have to do a laptime

C'mon out tonight @05XR8 the Group C cars are plenty competitive since there's a mandatory pit stop. Been thrashing Toyotas easily. Have only lost to 1 in 4 races. Lost to a couple pugs and an old R18 though.
Oddly enough(never thought I'd say this), I've been thrashing sports cars in Race B, with the WRX and Evo. Once I come to the end of the first straight, I eat anything in my path with those rally inspired sedans. Nom Nom.

Caveat: RCZ users don't like being passed.

Anyway, I'll check out Race C. Everyone in 787Bs are music to my ears. :O

The lesson for Race C this week is “Beware the idiot in the Group C car.”

Going live to try the dailies for the week! Spa is not a strong track to me, but I do love a Porsche road car, so Daily A could be happy hunting. Daily C... I don't run La Sarthe enough to know how strong I'll be really!

Some good results this evening.
Didn't have enough time to get a lap in for A so started last. Strangely no first corner shenanigans to take advantage of. However the rest of the race was crazy. Apart from the guy in first everyone was everywhere at once. My position could change by 5 through a corner. There was no punting even if there was some strong side by side action. Only moment of note was an Austrian who I got a run on towards Dunlop choosing the inside then swapping whilst I was alongside into the braking zone. Somehow didn't spin it on the grass but ended up overshooting by a mile. Finished one place up in 10th.

Spa.
6th on the grid gave me s decent position. I thought I would be the right side of the chicane. Nope. Started just before the 2nd apex. Lost ground to ahead and gained it on the guy behind. Stayed here lap 1. Then at the final chicane another Brit in a Jag ahead clashes with the Spaniards ahead and he comes out worse so I gain a place. I follow them up the Kemmel and they go side by side and one tries to shove the other off. I sit back watching the Spanish Civil War play out. They go wide still fighting in Les Combes and I sweep around the outside through Malmedy. They sort themselves out and start to hunt me down. Unfortunately on laps 2 and 3 my Jag decides it likes understeer going into Pouhon. Thankfully I don't spin but loose a place each time. Finish 5th. But was 3rd at one point. Still a good result. Jag feels good.

Le Sarthe.
Enjoyed this race. Tried a couple of cars but set my fastest time in the 787B so went for that in the race. Started 4th. However I looked at who was behind me and got nervous. (5th eventually quit before the start)

WOOF!

He eventually passed me and I followed him past the others and we were 1 and 2 at somepoint. However the bloody track limit penalties here are ridiculous. This left me behind the other Brit of Greenone. Boy does he not like being overtaken. Unfortunately for him I gain on him on the straights. He got a fair few penalties allowing me to get him quicker. He kept swerving to block but failed on some and was able to get me to hit him on others. Eventually on lap 4 I had enough.

I sent him towards La Croix to see what that part of Le Mans is like. I pitted that lap but the tyres felt horrible. Might do a hard to medium and do 3 of each in future. He stays out for a lap and eventually quits. I see he is now D/D so that's fitting. I am now in 3rd but the car understeers at Dunlop and I loose 3rd trying to avoid a penalty. Cross the line 4th and unfortunately everyone had done their tyre stops correctly. This is a fun race and some variation in cars tonight, that'll probably change over the course of the week. Could have had a win here if I kept inside whatever lines PD has drawn for this week and if the idiot hadn't kept holding me up.

Track Limits at Le Mans being annoying? So its authentic then. Just missing that audible PTSD inducing presence of Eduardo Freitas as he informs you of the punishment you are about to get.

Sometimes you can understand them and the ones at Tertre Rouge and Indianapolis have been there forever. However I am getting ones at Dunlop and I'm nowhere near going off line. It's really sensitive.

What does it matter if they start at the front or back? They’re gonna win anyways, so in reality it makes no matter at all. If you don’t like getting passed, then just get faster. :)

Different Monday as I dusted of my Alt-acc which has never turned a wheel. After a few qualifying runs on B & C I jumped into C with the only car I had the LM55. My qualifying time put me 7th and I worked my way up to 3rd and the guy in 1st left 3 laps from the end, when I did my pit stop I reconned the leader had not stopped and ended up with my 1st win in my first race on the account, don't really care i will take it when someone doesn't read the race details, reconed if he had stopped I would have been less than 10 seconds behind. I did a few more B&C races and they were full of DR A,B & C's all as dirty as hell on the track, Sr all B or lower so they have not gone away.

It was interesting to see how little you have starting out a new account and my main reason for using it is to do Manufacturers with Alfa again on that account. Have chosen Subaru on my account after nearly using them a few times in the past but going with Alfa.

On my account I was 8 sec faster on first qualifying run in 787 than the LM55 and raced in it but won't be using it again, started 11th finished 10th having spun to 17th on first lap. , I have done probably about 200 laps in the Toyota here and just did a quick lap before shutting down, and took a second of the time in the 787 and there's more time in it. Main issue i fount at Le Mans I cars exiting the pit seldom stay right and twice they pulled over to block me well before the 1st corner. I reckon I will spend most of the week on race C apart from manufacturers race.

have racked up 66 poles but the game is only showing 64. Website and app showing 66.
One of 3 trophies left
Weird.

Did you get DC’d from any of the races?

Edit: On second glance, Robbed of what? It kinda looks likes you’ve been resetting yourself a fair bit to rob poles and wins from lesser skilled drivers, and just for a stupid trophy. So I ask you, who has really been robbed here?

Race B - got my qualifying time improved enough that I've been rewarded with some starts towards the front of the grid. Especially important at Spa with these brutal rolling starts. Might be race nerves or whatever but my race pace could be better. Have done enough however to get back to A rank. Remains to be seen how long I'll stay there

I'm guessing it's because faster drivers coming up against slower ones can disrupt the flow of the race for them.

Time loss in weird areas and all that. Still, everyone from the back will experience being overtaken anyway.

Is this at the moment?

I'm sure by the end of the week the TS050 is going to dominate and end up being the meta car.

Though, the 787B looks like a beast down the straights along with the LM55. The R18 might fall out of favor for some folk.
Today I ran 4 races, first two in the 787, then one in the TS050, then one in the 787.
I much prefer the rotary to the Prius.
And my results are way better in it.

It seems like my prediction spoiled much earlier than I thought. It's bad milk now.

Top ends dominates at a power circuit. Who knew?

The problem previously was that they always set this combo up as a fuel saving race, so only a few cars could do it no stopping. TS050, 908, 919, R18 and 962. Now that they reduced the fuel multiplier it means the Gr C can compete as now they can use lots of top end speed on the mulsanne to counter the cornering speeds of the hybrids without having to save fuel in order to survive. It just creates a more wide open playing field.

In my mind this makes it far more fun as you can pick what best suits your driving style and your abilities and be competitive with it.

Ran 4 races last night, brought home a p1, 2, 3 and a p4. All in the 962c. Switching up to the 787 tonight.

Rotary go wheeeeeeeeeee!
