Detroit hosted a handful of US Grand Prix races through the downtown city streets in the 1980's. Among the all time greats to race here are Senna (Detroit winner) and Andretti.

I remember having it for GRiD (Nintendo DS version at least) and it was quite fun. Are streets the same? If not it would be impossible...

The Auto Show (NAIAS) this week is right at the hairpin on the west end of Jefferson Avenue in Cobo.

It's kind of wild know because when you take the shuttle from Cobo parking to the Belle Isle GP you are on the road the F1 cars use to race. Layout was ruff, which is vintage Detroit, as somebody at the Belle Isle race in 2012, haha, but a neat part of racing history

Would it have to include the numerous craters in the road surface...?

The original track would have been better back then, even though it was nothing special either. Penske paid to resurface the new Belle Isle roads last year.

This track needs to be in GT6, preferably as one of the DLC tracks. Not to mention the fact that Ayrton Senna dominated on this track.

It no longer exists, there is now a parking deck where the start finish line, pits, and first turn were.
