original physics > 1.03 physics

Yes, yes it is.

That could be the problem I had on the Ring recently. Was sure I had a really good tune on the Tuscan Speed 6. Fine tuned "on the Ring". Then I went online to race it AFTER 1.03 and had ALL kinds of problems. The other problem which I don't think it is, could be the tune was made in Arcade timetrial.

^Its probably a combination of the two. Some have reported some settings requiring reversal to get effective results after 1.03. (I forgot which ones though)

If they did change it other than that, its quite subtle because I haven't noticed much of anything.

IF thats the case thats good news since gt6 originaly came out with reversed effects on many of the tuning settings.

^Do keep in mind that none of those reports have been verified (or if they have I haven't seen it)

The new physics are terrible compared to what we had before. Sad. The Honda NSX Racecar can still be tweaked into something feeling reasonably racy around the 15 laps of Brands Hatch though. But before the update it also felt more exiting. I really hope the 1.02 physics will return because now it all feels rather underwelming.

I would highly recommend not tuning in arcade timetrial as I put together a solid tune for a base model GTR gt500 in arcade timetrial around spa for it to be absolutely horrible online, car would under steer a lot more and braking distances increased. After several laps online without altering the tune I could only get within 1.3s that of what I was doing offline.

I think it's pathetic that cars seem to handle differently in some offline game modes and online. There's no reason I can think of why it should be like that. I experienced understeer when online sometimes, same track straight after 2-3 hours of tuning in free run.

I was thinking it's just me but of others have similar problem it must be there. I noticed online the framerate skips more but that shouldn't affect handling when it's running smooth as it's all client side isn't it.

I do love this game but it feels really dodgy in the weirdest of places, and nooby errors like camber being in reverse, rim bug etc make me lose some respect for a company that's being doing quality games for years.

I know this isn't directed to me, but hosting an online lobby for tuning (private or not) wouldn't work for me because I'm stuck on stupid satellite internet.

As others have pointed out you cannot tune a car offline for online as the physics are different and have been like this since 2010.

MR cars feel dull and less responsive than they were before 1.03

I noticed in the other thread that you're using the DS3 controller. Maybe the inputs from the analogue sticks have been tweaked, rather than the actual physics? Because I haven't noticed anything and I'm using a wheel.

It is possible :> but what about other than MR cars?

New physics is clearly better, grip recovery of tires was corrected in 1.03 and it have effects on suspensions, this was terribly unrealistic pre-patch, and clearly evident from the infinite squeack of tires, sometimes even in a stright lane.

The changes in the physics are easier felt with racecars. Most racecars have now a floaty understeery feeling on turn-in that wasn't there before.
Try Subaru BRZ with front-sports hard and rear-comfort soft tires stock no tuning no oil change it's perfect.

I honestly haven't noticed a change... if I drove more than 5 cars, I might have noticed it.
