GT4 up close is pretty crap, but when you get some distance, it works really really well.

Well, 9 times out of 10 anyway. Lego house! I won't even mention the texture. Car looks superb as normal though.

What do you expect? I'm sure in proably a few years in the future it'll be absolutely perfect. I don't know what Polyphony Digital is going to do after they perfect it...
 
Yea, the wheels should be 3d but whocares? Looks damn realistic and I'm so damn impressed!!! Some of the pics looked dead real. Hopefully there will be a vid soon.
 
Well SS2, it's a ps2 not a 32X. PD don't mind putting crap like 3d spectators in, but won't put skids, exhaust pops, interiors or decent wheel rims in...

Those rims look as if they were knocked up in mario paint.

They do Cobra? Damn, you must have found some super secret pictures I missed, URLS plz!

nice rims...I swear, a mega cd could do those. Couldn't PD say take out the 3d spectators (they look toss anyway) and give the cars rims that look...well not crap. Allways a critic :)

Cobra, I can help your jaw problem, buy a geforce 6800 or an X800. Problem sorted.

There's no way it'll be perfect, once it get's really good, were gonna want something more, like we did with GT3, we loved it before it came out, as we played it on and on, we found things we didn't like, didn't see, wanted. You know what I mean!

that's were PD screws up they should focus more on car aspects than environment, evne though its a crucual part of the game they should at least add reverse lights i mean come on pd IS IT THAT FUKIN HARD
 
Well if you think about it since we have a drag track, PD might have unlockable Top Fuel dragsters just like F1 cars were in GT3. Imagine going down the quarter mile in 4.7 seconds. :drool: :drool:
 
i doubt the will incorporate top fuel dragsters. it would be an awsome idea though. i heard tey had an hks drag supra which would lead to the conclusion that there will be actual drag cars

There were two drag cars in GT2, a HKS drag R33 and a HKS drag 180SX.
 
OMFG, if it had real dragsters...man that would be awesome, apart from the fact that GT doesn't let you flip cars or damage them, so it would look pretty stupid if you crashed.

They're not going to have real dragsters in GT4. If they do, then I will be suprised. Just like I was suprised when they put F1s in GT3.

It's not actually, dodgey in GT4, theres one pic where it doesn't look right from an angle you don't normally look at a car.

imean if there gonna use cars from the late 19th century (so i've heard) they would have to have at least one drag car
 
They wouldn't have to have at least one drag car at all, they might have a some proper drag cars, but I doubt there will be any top fuel dragsters.
 
Technically I don't thinkn the release has been pushed back, Noveber 04 is the first release date given.

i know but what i meant was the game has had millions of release dates



i hope november is the permanent release date
