How about you let the moderators make that decision? This thread is dying. Do you guys think it's time to re-open the spanish gp thread now? Or keep it closed until monday or tuesday?
How about you let the moderators make that decision?
famine said he was going to re open it on tuesday, but i think that's a little too late.
And I was under the impression that we were going to let lake take over making the race threads because he's so good at it. It's not a race to make the threads, and Blake is very, very thorough at what he does. Tuesday is by no means too late, because what would we discuss before the that we couldn't discuss on Tuesday?famine said he was going to re open it on tuesday, but i think that's a little too late.

If your life revolves around being given the opportunity to create a thread on an internet forum, I think you've got bigger issues. Blake's threads are good: they're through, detailed and usually pretty insightful. All these other ones are just people rushing to get their name next to the thread title. But that would be a little unfair on those who really are that desperate to have a go, so I'd have to disagree with Blake in charge of all F1 GP threads. Everyone needs to get a chance sometimes.

I just thought he'd been appointed after someone jumped the gun on making the Malaysian Grand Prix thread and figured he'd make up the mantle from then on, but people kept making them a week and a half in advance. Call me overly-demanding, but I do like to see the opening posts of these threads made in such a way that they're informative as opposed to someone trying to be the first to make a grand prix thread.I dunno, but I've never anything like an official decision, or even a consensus by the other users. It appears at some point you decided it's Blake's duty, and ever since, you've been pushing that into everyone who wanted to open a thread.
Never mind the fact that I, for example, compiled several of last year's race-threads, and a few well-organized winter threads covering pre-launch testing, launches, and post-launch testing, plus changes and modifications to the cars. I never recall anyone complaining about those.
not just 'discuss'
He means, the opening post shouldn't just be "discuss" - which is something we've seen before.
