When do they usually announce next seasons races? Today or tomorrow?

They definitely won’t announce it till after Monday since I assume it’ll use the new track and probably at least one of the new cars

Is it possible to watch the Asian Top24 races somewhere? I follow Saika and Shohei on youtube but they are quiet for now. When do the races start?

Usually they always did the first three slots i believe. So let's be patient and wait a little more as the superstars race are going to be on 3rd and on the 4th slot ^^

Well good news at least... the first few top 24 races of season 3 are only a multiplier of 1.2 rather than 2 which hopefully means that if you miss it you still at least have a chance in one of the really insanely high ranked countries. Glad they've seen the issue there! So effectively a 3k points lobby becomes 3.6k which makes far more sense for a top 24 superstars race!

edit: Also the first race is done by driver rating and not total points which is even more interesting, at least you don't have to make every race now hurray!

I'm assuming the track TBD is the new one, and given the length of the gr.2 and gr.3 races it has at least 2 different versions, with the longer one being used for gr.2

I also see a few races being time limited rather than based on number of laps

Edit: Round 7 Nations in the F1 car?

I hope the buff the Alfas for the Man. series, 'cause all the races are not very opitimal for them :odd:

Same for PUG. Feels like group 4 got all the decent tracks and group 3 got all the fast tracks again :(! I can't help but feel a lot of things get nullified more if group 4 got the faster tracks and group 3 got the twisty fun tracks. Really wish they'd stop using Gardens though, I don't know anyone who likes it? I mean remove the sausage kerbs and I actually would like the track but they are so random with flipping cars that I hate it!

Today's Nations race was an interesting one, as a certain Aussie was frustrated on said race.

I qualified 12th after only setting one lap, the polesitter gets a 2:07, and then there is @Alpha Cipher starting in 5th.

Lap 3 and I was pushed wide by FOURce in an Evo inbetween the Degners, then gets overtaken by a Wako's Megane Trophy.

I decided to pit on Lap 4 for tires and fuel after saving fuel, and started to push aggresively on my fresh tires and fuel, which caused me to whack the fuel map back to 2 for the final stages of the race.

Interesting stuff happened on Lap 6, as the battle between Cipher and Flyman ended when the former crashed out in the Pit Entry, and then battled with repli_c with his Miku Citroen, then midway through Cipher went past Rangeraus. At the end of Lap 8 though, Cipher was spun out by a BOSS Megane.

Chaos befell at the end of Lap 9, when said Wako's Megane, driven by Yo-Saka, goes two wide on the 130R with Rangeraus, the latter ended up running wide, then rejoins the track, and gets hit by Cipher, causing the Aussie to be a missile.

Victims include:

Rangeraus (Missile)
@Alpha Cipher
(Missile Launcher)
FOURce (Missile Victim 1)
Yo-Saka (Missile Victim 2)

At the end though, nothing happened to me, and I went through the carnage!

Some good changes to the format for Season 3, don't need so much of a sweaty grind as a Brit now :lol:

Also 2 Gr1 races, a race which I imagine will be with the W08 and no road car in sight in Nations :bowdown:

There are more than 3 brits with 75K DR. I wonder how they'll select who makes it? I assume it will be by points, so you'll still need to do all the races

Nah you don't need to, a x1.2 multiplier means from about 5th/6th you can beat anybody on points in other lobbies. Even if someone comes first a 3.6k (If a 3k lobby like first round of nations in season 1) lead is strong but still not impossible vs the current 6/7k points they got which was impossible. The chances of all 3 UK guys getting into top 3 positions is unlikely, if they do then it's a deserved big amount of points.

Yeah you probably will I reckon, although it’s DR based like you say a fair few with 75k in uk and after that will be based on points I would guess. Five races before the first top 24 so if you miss one or two you could have between 2k - 4K less points.

Man that Season 3 Nations schedule is terrible. Did they forget Alsace, one of the few tracks wide enough for side by side racing though almost every corner, is in the game? Or that the one make races are usually the best ones? And that Tokyo is nonsense (at least it’s only in Mans). Gr.1 races will be single file crapshoots as usual, and I don’t know why they even put road car races in the test seasons if they aren’t even going to use them. So tired of Gr. 3 and 4. You really only need to be good in 2 types of cars to win this championship.

There should be a road car, kart, open wheel, Gr. B, 1 2 3 & 4. One make races in FF, FR, MR, and AWD cars, whether that’s road or group 4 or something else. Probably a one make in a VGT since they’re already useless.

Guess I’ll be putting my focus on Manufacturers.

The curbs at Gardens are way less of a crapshoot than the high speed chicane at Seaside. At least there’s ways to avoid them consistently. Gardens is a fun track other than the last corner, that’s the only random part of the track I find.

I hate the sausage kerbs, 1mm to the left penalty 1mm to the right car flys, completely ruins the flow of a otherwise pretty good track!

They've looked at the data and the road car races were always nowhere near as popular as Gr3/4 races. Alsace went from the Daily C/FIA rotation a long time ago because it's a divebomb festival and people again avoided it. Also Gr1 Le Mans finale will be anything but a single file crapshoot :lol:

Wow you're the first person to say that, that I've seen! Fair enough, personally I think seaside chicane is manageable half throttle when required and you lose minimal time. Sausage kerbs at gardens I find the entire lap time is based on that chicane, nail the chicane = mega lap, don't nail it and you lose 3/4 tenths, and as Venster said;

I hate the sausage kerbs, 1mm to the left penalty 1mm to the right car flys, completely ruins the flow of a otherwise pretty good track!

Literally it's by mms and in a race right behind someone you're technically guessing where they are which is nuts to be honest, flung me up a few times in the last one. Remove it and I think that track would be mega, last corner is a bit hit and miss, kinda like it to be honest promotes some interesting lines for sure.

I love Gardens! Git gud you scrub! :lol::lol:;)

Damn it xD!

Anyone see the top 24 nations race in Asia region? Guy in pole loses out in race because of slipstream and the fuel acceleration, nobody really racing because everyone is saving fuel! What happened to all the action :(.

You streaming Nations? Would love to watch the EMEA fuel saving train chug around Suzuka :lol:

Gr4 racing is almost always absolutely terrible isn't it, especially on a rails car like the Trophy. Haven't seen anyone really in EMEA practice Suzuka T24, we've all been having great practice races at Le Mans instead.

We've found the incredibly RARE driver who's heard of a racing line who likes a track where 95% of laptime is in 1 apex!

Not 100% sure, I'm going to try the stream if it fails it fails. My ISP for the livestream (PS4 using a different one) has just limited us massively out of no where (We were getting more than we were paying for to be fair to them). So now they want more money for me to stream. We have 5 upload which in theory is enough for a 720p stream, however I'll have to make sure nothing else is using it. I am going to upgrade to the higher speed which should get me back to 20mb upload again... Really frustrating as it was up and down (Which is why it died Wednesday) so I assume they checked it, spotted the error and restricted it. Not a regular company though and is very local to me which is why I suddenly started streaming out of no where haha!

Lol me liking Gardens is nothing to do with where the lap time is in the cars tbh, just love the flow of the track in sector 2- in the karts we don't touch the kerbs at the chicane so doesn't really factor xD

No problems here with the sausage kerbs being leveled off though (Y) but I do like the intent with them - more risk in using the kerb, and if you are going to you have to have it set up correctly - but I'll concede if everyone just uses the kerb anyway then the sausage isn't really adding anything.

You can watch my perspective of the Asian Superstar race archived on my twitch channel at twitch.tv/sidawg2

I came 11th so you won't see the front haha!

Got disconnected out of the Manufacturer SuperStar Race... tell ya what if that happens next season there will be some absolutely irate people out there and I don't blame them.

If I missed out on qualifying because I got disconnected from a frankly farcical race that awards up to 11,000 points (making the rest of the season somewhat irrelevant), I'd be absolutely furious. On the plus side its 2 18 am and I get to go to bed now instead.

Ah, well best of luck with it, I'll be streaming Manufacturer Top 24, although apparently everyone just got kicked out of the Asian one...

PANIC!!!! :scared::nervous:
