Nations Cup today starts from the grid. I realized after wondering why I am not moving after the countdown and everybody passed me . From 10 to 20 in less then 5 sec.
Was able to get back some spots but then my throttle gots tired and stopped sometimes at 20-30% :grumpy:. I had to lift and press again couple of times to get it back to 100%, that doesn´t make you faster ;)

But anyway Red Bull Junior is fun to drive 👍

Congrats @Tidgney to a flawless pole and win!

I did wonder what had happened as I flew past you on the S/F straight! unfortunately I just lack any speed in that car, didn't know how I was losing the time I was, but my best lap in the race was a 57.3, everyone was just driving away from me, I do enjoy driving the Junior though.

Forgot to stick my superstar races here yesterday.

Nations I wasn't expecting to do well as I don't like the track and I've never raced that layout but it actually went really well

Manufactures was a really exciting mostly because I messed up quali and did an different strategy to everyone else

The race was pretty boring but I drove really well

Penalty system at Monza needs a complete change, albeit the standard of racing in the S/S race tonight was poor.
25secs for being brake tested and t-boned on multiple occasions.
All incidents were unavoidable.
Also, quali needs to be longer.
Anyway, well done to @mthomas_95 for a superb win

God I love those little red bull things, great fun.

Need to practise more though as my quali time was 1:57 and my final lap of the race was a 1:55.5, so something wrong there :banghead:

Cheers :D! Not quite a flawless race as there was a sketchy moment near the end but I'll take it haha :D! I love this car it was my first time trying them 30 minutes before the matching :D! Had tons of time in me as well easily a low 51 available in practice mode.

A tip for anyone using this car, think GT6 Go-Kart and you'll nail this car :D

Did the 23:10 FIA Manufacter on Monza with the Mitsubishi. I feel no matter the DR or SR, you're going to have problems with the track.
Qualifiers with tire consumption needs to be longer than 10 minutes personally (add 5 minutes more maybe?).
Qualified 6th, ended up getting slightly trashed at T1 and went with 10th but end of the race i arrived 4th place.
No wonder very few pick the Lancer Gr.4 if not for some turn heavy tracks, that car can't catch anybody on straights
Regardless that car is amazing for endurance, fuel usage all 1 and can take 2 more laps compared the rest. I had a german Scirocco racer which i battled with him in a full lap that sadly ended up running out of fuel at last part of the track, he even had the best time :(

Get your optimum quali lap, otherwise this happens:
(A high S/S lobby, would you believe)

That gave me 25 seconds of penalties, and an A SR, yet not one of the incidents was my fault. Hysterical

Well I entered the nations cup for the first time in months tonight at Interlagos!

Pretty strong field, very clean racing throughout, half the field were DR S and other was DRA. Qualified 4th, which I was happy with although I messed up one corner and think I missed out on 3rd at least.

Strong UK showing they dominated the front two slots, with little experience I lost a place in the pits (ended the race with way too much fuel left ( I went to the diamond??) unfortunately and really kicking myself but on the first stint went wide on a couple occasions from the worn tyres and picked up a couple of penalties which meant I finished in 8th. But happy enough with what felt like my first time and a reasonable 1300 odd points, not great but wasn’t pushing too hard as wanted to learn from it.

Had a driver try to pass me around the outside at hawthorns on brands hatch, which I thought was optimistic, but I did nudge him off even though I did try and stay tight to the inside. So I wanted to apologise on here in case he is a member. Wasn't deliberate, was simply a lack of skill on my part, so sorry :(

Was it the 9:00 race you were in? (UK time)

Did the wrong manufacturers timeslot so only got 2061 for winning and the next hour was 2723 on offer :( #SSDriverProblems
There were 5 top drivers in that lobby as well. The 9:00 nations race today was much weaker (at the front at least) but more points available.

I was in that race. Got hit off twice but had a bit of a shocker anyway. You got me around the outside of paddock hill bend i think, I was frustrated at that point and was starting to just give up so didn't want to try and go side by side, but was a nice move nonetheless

Bit annoyed about these incidents, if I did anything wrong someone tell me

I'd quite like these low S/S drivers to come into my lobbies instead of either 5 top guys and 15 A's or just 20 top guys like Monza yesterday

Lately, the NA FIA rooms I've been in have struggled just to break past 1500 points. I may try a different time slot today.

Oh, and obligatory race clip. Monza was kinda boring on my end because I ended up just being a spectator to the action at the front. T1 deal was all me. Was really missing the rear view camera to gauge things better.

From looking at clips it looks like the very top guys on the American server haven't raced in a while and there's fewer S drivers than in Europe. Also Europe is hyper competitive this week for various reasons, too late for some though

Yeah, there is a noticable gap in talent on this side of the Atlantic. It amazes me that in the inevitable gap the aliens get on me each race, that space is probably filled with 10+ cars in Europe. I'd be a backmarker in most races!

But in fairness to myself, at least according to BOP tests out there, I'm apparently usually driving the worst cars out there.

Yeah I remember a Brands Hatch top 24 race a few months ago where even the 3rd fastest NA time would've been last in Europe. Hopefully when the official season starts it brings your top guys back, because they do help raise your game. Guys I looked up to in Europe 2-3 months ago I'm beating regularly now because I've been able to measure my progress against them as they come up in a lot of my races.

One thing to keep in mind is the FIA race times in the NA region are seriously unrealistic for most adults. On the east coast it's more manageable, but on the west coast the FIA races are from 2-7pm, with the Top 24 race usually at 5pm. I believe before the time change they used to end at 6pm. That's just not reasonable for most working people to participate.

Boy did I ever screw up on brands hatch today... And I love that track! I qualified 9th, and there was some great clean racing for the first few laps. I wiped out myself and dropped to 15th. I clawed my way back up to 12th before pitting. Shortly after pitting, I had a great battle with 10th, but suddenly he went into autodrive in front of me, which messed me up, I ended up hitting him and taking a 10 second penalty. I decided to take the penalty and dropped to 15th again. I managed to climb back up to 11th, because that autodrive guy disconnected as well. With 2 laps to go I realized I DIDN'T TAKE ENOUGH FUEL in the pits..... Arrggh! I ended up having to fall back and get lapped so I could finish the race, 15th out of 17... So sad

Hey guys, n00b here! I don’t know if it is allowed to ask here, but...
I got in to GTS recently and I’ve been doing the daily races but don’t know anything about how the FIA or Manufacturer races work. So I don’t join them because I’m too scared I will somehow screw something up for me and other racers out there.
Is there a place I can read up on these series’? Or can someone give me a rundown on them?
Sorry if this is not the place to ask. I can edit it out.

Welcome to GTS! The FIA races aren't all that different from your typical Race C daily, save for two things:
1. Instead of posting a qualifying time before the race in order to decide your position during matchmaking, the FIA races will let you practice the car/track combo, but will not consider the time you posted into matchmaking. Instead, you will be given a 10 minute qualifying shakedown during the race itself, with tire and fuel wear.
2. The races are longer than usual and can last for around 25 minutes. This could be exhausting for some

That's about it! Enjoy :)

To be honest with FIA races you are generally as good as the guy besides you. Being grouped together (most of the time) with people at our level. If you screw it up, you screw it up but more than likely its not you, its the guy besides who 🤬 it up.
