toyota is doing great in Europe and Asia but not so hot in America. It sucks knowing these cars are capable and I still can't keep up lol. The new fuel rates may have helped some but man, this season is difficult, especially with personal life only allowing 1 hour of practice the same day as race day. Thanks for posting the manufacturer rankings so far!

I only scanned the list of topics you covered on your youtube site, but they seem very comprehensive...now only if there was a way for you to produce new content for GTS under PD's governance?

Would be good, I'm all about just creating unique or new content or something that people want so I'm game for anything xD!

I’d love to see you and another drivers driving round a circuit showing things like how to drive side by side in a corner and the lines you have to take in that situation, when you have the right to take the proper racing line even if it may slightly impede your rival, who has corner right when side by side.

I know these things will be common knowledge to a lot of people but this is the first sim I’ve played really and after the race I often think should I have done that. When there is contact I think who’s fault was that.

On a side note, a Filipino flying under the HK flag is banned from any GTS competitions in 2018 due to unavailability of PSN in their country, forcing them to invade Hong Kong and Singapore...

No the Ford is good but most of the top ford drivers have just stopped participating, in the America’s region at least. I had a chance at podium in almost every race but always ended up almost 2 seconds off my practice time in qualifying for one reason or other and then I just repeatable fell victim to the hordes of animals bashing their way through everybody. If I could qualify as well as I was able I would have been up at the front scoring easy points like I did on season 2.

When I look at the Ford leaderboard a lot of the top guys bailed out early and a few that were left like myself eventually just got tired of the burnout and gta inspired racing etiquette and retired. It looks like the top drivers in many of the other manufacturers are deciding to stick it out for whatever reason so those manufacturers are going to outscore ford even though the ford is clearly a top 16 manufacturer on merit, in my view.
I too could never seem to get a qualify lap within 2 seconds of my practice times, I tried every scenario possible, just bad luck this season and my DR has went from high A+ to nearly a B only racing FIA, crazy. So now I'm in with A and B drivers with a top prize of 800 points. when I started the season racing in rooms with IOF and NICO and still finishing ahead of where I qualified but still DR went down in HUGE increments, absolutely insane The point system has totally screwed me.

Did a practice Manufacturer race with who I think was @Alpha Cipher . Makes me feel more confident since I was able to keep up with them for the entire race until I got distracted and understeered into a wall

E - I thought I posted in the wrong thread.

'Tis me :D

Great race btw, just what I needed to feel more confident in the race later today as well. Being able to stay in front of another S/S is an honor

The corner you understeered into is also a problem for me. Ran it wide a couple of times. At least now we know to be a bit conservative through there

Well, that was irritating. I got matched in the top split lobby. My heart sunk

There's no way I can get points anymore

On the bright side, I was able to keep up with one of the aliens. I got to learn the track a bit more from their perspective, so I was setting constant personal bests on the second half

14th in the end. 555 sardines

Yeah someone bailed from the nations top split for the same reason. They left it a bit late though.

Qualified 16th came 16th. Was practically last into t1 so not all bad. Got too close to a ford after a few laps and made a mistake putting me 5s behing in last.

Yeah they bailed after I finished I think

I ran a practice race in a lobby last night with @SpecMiata-JSW and man, did I suck bad. I spun the car like 3 times just catching a curb wrong. With my performance overall, I think I may be done for this season. I started at Monza last Saturday and all I did was cause carnage. I'm probably skipping today and Saturday as to not ruin others races. Hopefully I can stop sucking somewhat soon :banghead::lol:

Hey Even, it was great meeting you last night, and you did fine in the races. We all spin every once in a while, if you don't occasionally get a wheel off and spin then you're not trying hard enough. Just remember, it's better to have those spins in practice vs. the real races.

See you around!

It was nice to meet you to man. I've been having alot of issues across all tracks and with racecraft lately. I think I need to just take a step back for a few days and re fresh before I start racing again. I'm usually not quite as bad as I was last night. I'll probably take a few days and go back through Call of Duty MW2 since I just picked it up on my xbone :D

There would be no better teacher than @Tidgney

Proper gentleman racer.

12th for 914 points. Oh, I also got a red S. I'm really disappointed in myself because I have the pace to keep and hold 8th, but whenever I try and make a move I mess up and either fall back behind massively, or tap the back/side of the other car. I'm surprised the AMG GT3 can take on the Ford GT in straight line speed though

Anyway, after talking to my teammates for a while, I (well, we) decided to wrap up our Season here. It's been a wild ride and thanks to everyone :)
I'll still try to join the Top 24 (Most likely not gonna get in but doesn't hurt to try) though, so there's that

I've been wanting to do this Wednesday's races, but I was forced to go for grocery shopping, which results in me going home at 9 P.M, which is a no-go zone unless I ended up doing the races during or before that time...

Guess I'm going to watch @Tidgney 's stream during probably at 2 A.M. or 3 A.M. (GMT+7) which is when the stream starts.

As for other Manufacturer predictions, Nissan will have Akagi from the Asia/Oceania region leading the charge, followed with the battle between @Doodle and IOF_RACING17 in Americas, and the heated EMEA TRL showdown between Lightning, Fuvaros, and ManuRodry.

For Ferrari, Deafsun96 and yukiku have secured spots for Americas and Asia/Oceania respectively, while EMEA is still a showdown between @mthomas_95 and maatu79, as @mclarenLB mentioned earlier when he quoted my post about the situation for manufacturers which are on the verge of elimination.

Speaking of which, Mr. Bentley secured the EMEA spot for Chevrolet, alongside @anthaliscious for Americas. And it looks like there is a battle for the Asia region between kuro96gt and SPR_VolteyTatsu.

For Mercedes though, CLS63AMG-sc is Asia's representative for said manufacturer, as the (presumably) actual fastest M-B driver, Nik_Makozi, was underage for the 2018 Series, so he ignored the Star Player registration, though he may star at the 2019 Manufacturers World Final Live Event instead. Then we got EMEA with the battle between kie25 and @force ewerby , and @GumballCGT has secured the Americas spot for Mercedes.

As for BMW, it's obviously gonna have FT_NicoR from the Americas region, then it's the matter of either JUN-_-JEEEEN or okasan-joestar07 (the latter of which is one of the early users of the Decal Uploader feature) for the Asia region. But in EMEA, it's a lower-tiered midpack manufacturer as of the standings after Round 8, and it's a battle between indianfood and Der_Heizer.

Single GT-R on the grid, that is weird.
Solid race, couple of very fast drivers.

Oh yeah, that was a fun race! :D
Cheers! Haha congrats!

I have a problem with the end of that turn and the chicane(?) At the bottom of the hill. I go a bit slower to not get penalty times added in.

Ended up 10th at the Nurburgring despite being as high as 4th after the pitstops and spending most of it in 6th. I think the difference in fuel weight screwed me up in the second stint, the car just wasn't... there. It's still an achievement given I qualified 18th and stayed carnage-free through the opening sector.

400-something points, which is my best in the Nations Cup. Still disappointing though.

:D

Nations cup
Nurburgring GP is usually not my best track, but I would say it went pretty well...

Qualy:
P10

Race:
Had an epic start, and coming out of the arena I was already in P5. The entire top 6 remained close, and we pulled away from the rest of the field together, while having battles all the way.
Lap 6 the rest of the top 6 pitted, but as my tires were still fine, I continued for 2 more laps. I came out of the pitlane side by side with the leader, and the top 6 battle continued, now with me near the front. With 2 laps to go, the others' tires started deteriorating, and I managed to take the lead.
Finished in P1 :D just 6 seconds in front of P6. My first win in about 4 months, and I believe my first one in DR B! Also got fastest lap!

Manufacturers cup
I'm usually good at this track, so there was potential for a good race

Qualy:
P12, cut the chicane a bit too much on my fast lap, and got a penalty, had to settle with my slower lap instead.

Race:
Struggled a bit for the first few laps, and drove the first few laps around P11. A lot of people had shredded their tires by lap 6, and pitted early, most others pitted lap 7, I pitted lap 8. Exited the pits in P8. I had a good fight with the drivers just in front of me, but just couldn't get past. In the final lap, though, their tires were gone, and I managed to overtake 3 others, finishing in P5. Also got fastest lap here!

Overall an excellent day, and I should have won a few places in the rankings (I think I'm now P11 in the Netherlands 👍)

I'm not sure what sort of advantage the game thinks you get from having a third wheel touch a kerb for a fraction of a second at Yamagiwa but my god that was an annoying race. Infuriating. A wasted chance, given the amount of time I spent there last week in the Beat.

16th in the Nations cup, demonstration that Nurb GP is my weakest of tracks :grumpy:

Then I went to Kyoto, after continuing get penalties in practice :scared:.........and get an 8th place with 1314 points after being one of the only two of 20 with no penalties given :sly: and with some great battles too

hey @Tidgney
Unfortunately the live stream went off at lap 11

I hope it was only the stream which went down and you didn't get disconnected from PSN. Could you finish the race?
In which place if yes?
