Sooo... because of ****** driving and ruining my sr, i got downgraded to C C, from A S.
Today I did the FIA manufacturer race, 17th overall free pratice time (see photo), got an easy win by over 30 seconds ahead of the guy in 2nd, and I got 282 points. I cant believe it...

you mean....you are quick even without the MASSIVE ASSISTS the controller secretly has? WOW :D;)

Gr4 has always been a weak spot of mine as well, the turn in I'm now getting on the wheel just makes the slower corners so much easier

I've managed to crash and fail in qualifying in my last two FIA races. I ruined a chance for some decent points at St. Croix the last time, I hate Lake Maggie and all its variants so god knows what I'm going into in Nations in ~2 minutes.

Has anyone done Manufacturer without pitting? I think it's totally feasible, especially if you start near the back.

I tryed but after few laps all room got booted via DC. This is horse****, there gone about twelve hours of practising:tdown:

Managed to get punted despite being in 17th at Lake Maggie. Never made it to the lobby in Manufacturers. Appalling.

Not sure what I have to do in Qualifying but I seem to have issues every time. In the Nations a guy was slow on the inside of the 1st corner, so considering my recent experience I let the car run wide but couldn't hold the corner and ended up in the wall. In the manufacturers a guy was parked on the inside of downhill hairpin and I didn't know what he was doing so bailed. 2 hot laps, both ruined :(

Nations race went ok (chose the VW Beetle as felt it had decent race pace), started 11th and worked my way up to 10th, until I pitted on lap 5. Came out just behind a group of cars in 11th place but a guy ahead had an issue on the 1st corner and was coming back onto the track. He was ghosted and on cold tyres I understeered right up behind him, for him to un-ghost just as I got there. Engine damage, race over. Wasn't really a rage quit, more of a disappointment quit as thought I had decent pace :)

Manufacturers started 10th and the Pug power was pretty strong on the straights, so managed a few overtakes and worked my way up to 7th. Unfortunately the bad tyre wear is the counter balance to the speed, so I had no option but to use the RH tyres and then to pit at half way. Came out in 12th as a few people didn't pit, and then worked my way back up to 8th by the end. Just a matter of overtaking people on the straights and then parking on the apex on the twisty bit. Was a fun race but no vids as game crashed after race.

Lost Sheltie you were in same lobby as I in manufactures and even it showed for that everyone were disconnected from server it wasn't the case. So totally frustrated for dc's. I got very good 100Mb connection here in Finland but sometimes as many others comes these dc's and hard training goes to toilet and if you would be in good car and skill for track there goes good points too in leaderboards.

Why PD doesn't do something for this problem? They know it for sure. Is it only possible solution when somebody's connection goes down to immediatly kick him/her. Couldn't there be reconnecting and while that in auto-drive mode on ghosting that don't ruin others race and if resonable reconnection success then get back to track and online.

Ofcourse if there is not found good enough connection then kicking is best solution because it's very annoying in race if some car lags a lot and flyes all over the track. It's hard to manage overtake and maybe ruin boths race.

3rd place again for me in Nations. I ran the VW VGT, qualified 6th. I no stopped using hards and that was the ticket for me. I believe p2-p5 were all on medium.

I manged to hold p6 and stayed pretty close to everyone ahead of me. When they all went in to the pits at the end of lap 5 I ended up p2! Someone came out of the pits just behind me, I tried holding him off but I came out of the esses a bit fast and went wide so I slowed up and let him by.

I was 10 seconds ahead of p4 and the last 3 laps were exilerating. He was on mediums so he closed the gap to under a second starting the last lap.

The last lap went well, I suppose his tires were worn at this point because he was no longer gaining as quickly. He made a jackass move on the final hairpin though! He came flying on the inside and wanted to slam into me and use me to slow down. I saw him in my mirror and radar and atticipated this so I went wider, slowed down and watched him fly in front of me, on to the grass and into the wall, take that jerk you got what you deserved!

So can one win at Red Bull Ring without excessive cutting at T1? I went out to try for Manufacturer's. Pretty good room for once and my initial flyer looked good until botching the last corner. Fortunately, I got another chance at it and I just got the pole at the end. Right before the race, however, my leg was starting to shake. There, at that moment, not at the World Tour but before an exhibition FIA race! It went away at the start and I managed to keep a gap past T1. At T2, the race pretty much ended. I made it through just fine but the cars behind me got tangled up and received damage. Easy but boring win.

Nations room had the lowest points I've ever seen, barely over 1500 points. Even then, I had IOF in the room, my odds-on favorite to win Americas Regionals. To my surprise, he ended with no time while I had pole. In a way, he wanted a challenge to see if he could take a victory away from Captain Slow here in a Beetle. So, how did it unfold?

3.5 seconds behind me at the end. In my defense, I did add a bit of fuel during my stop, I had to deal with someone that decided to no stop and the pace I had at the end I think could've kept me ahead for another 4-6 laps or so. This is what it took for me to "beat" one of the best drivers out there.

I had to deal with someone that decided to no stop
That was me  but you didn't had to deal with my car on your line , i get immediately out of the way from both of you and IOF .Impossible to maintain a fast path with 3 quarter of my tyres gone .:ouch: I've lost 6 seconds per lap in the 2 last laps.
I'm happy with my 3rd place , my strategy was just a gamble , i didn't make any test online first for this race because i wasn't planing to do it first.
I'm happy with my results yesterday, 1st manufacturer and 3rd nations

On nations I picked the Beetle but I had absolutely 0 practice with wear. Race was in control all the time. Tyre wear was a bit critical in first stint.

For manufacturers i was able to do a 20 minutes wear practice. I knew no stopping would be pretty hard on the Vantage but it was the faster strategy because the pitlane in Red Bull Ring is a bit big. I also tried to not go wide and respect track limits in turn 1. Qualy was good, race was better than I expected. When the massive tyre wear kicked I started to suffer a lot.

We had a good scrap for 2nd behind you at Red Bull Ring, if I didn’t make a couple of bone head moves I may have been able to get past DudeCool, but it wasn’t meant to be. All in all a very fun race, my heart rate was skyrocketing on the last lap thinking 2nd place was a reality.

Here is my video if you want to watch your victory.

Congrats on a consistent drive and the win!

I did the last manufacturers slot in a decent A+/A group. Had my preferred strategy picked of a no stop. Qualified poorly at 6th.
I had plenty of pace for a top 3 finish but got hit by a car coming back on track on lap 2. With lots of damage I had to pit amd went back last place. From there I was a man on a mission to minimize DR loss and worked my way back up to 7th. It was a very fun race with some clean passing.

Manufacturers race went well.

Had a great battle with the Audi TT (PunishedGTDriver), but once his tires were worn out, it was smooth sailing into a win.

I wish there was more points up for grabs since I was in good form for this race. Only 1881 for 1st place.

Also, I hate cutting t1 to stay on equal pace with everyone. PD NEEDS to fix that.

O man, what a monster

A 1500 pts- room must have been still at least a DRA- room, and he went through it from the back to P2 already in the first stint

Can't wait to see how the americas will go out in Vegas and who will become the third regional champion, even I'm not very familiair with the names there

But unbvelievable sad and ironic, that the one who dominated most of the test seasons, Niko, can't participate

Nico cannot participate??

Any reasons?

Nations didn't go so well on Saturday. Was blocked on my 2nd lap in quali then forgot to switch tyres before the race so had to 2 stop cos the Atenza was chewing the fronts
