After a long tire wear and consumption test yesterday night of all the GR3 cars , i was impressed with the fact that all those cars are now balanced in tire wear and gas waste. For the test i've used auto drive around broad bean track 10 laps test. All of them wear exactly the same way the same amount and proportionally front rear.

It wasn't the same for GR4 cars depending of their drivetrain. At least for the tires , the gas consumption stay balanced here too.
FR have the best tire wear , wasting equally front and rear tires.
4WD waste around 20% more front tires.
MR waste around 10% more rear tires.
And finally FF with the Audi waste almost 80% front tires , i couldn't even finish the 10 laps . All the others stayed with 25% more or less of the tires after 10 laps , but the audi waste 100% of the front right tire in 8 laps. This will be a nightmare for the player who choose this brand for GR4.

PD have apologised. Racing will continue as normal today too.

Glad to see this has been acknowledged and cleared up.

As I was unsure what would happen I managed to get into the last manufacturer's slot last night. Messed up qualy starting P12. Stuck to my 2 stop strategy in the Mustang and finished P7. Reasonably happy with that.

Highlight of the race was a Merc getting a run on me into the downhill esses. I was trying to keep out of the way but it got a bit awkward and they ended up drifting sideways around me. It looked pretty epic from my pov but imagine they must have been hanging on for dear life.

I doubt I'll give it another go tonight as that's not a bad result for me (668 points). I may give Nations a go although I haven't done any practice in any of the usable cars.....

I had some good results yesterday on my EU account. If i understand the PD apology text, when they says "the acquired points for the season will be tallied from the last race you have joined in this round." does it mean that who race yesterday will not be able to race today ?

It means that you can race today, but you will lose the points you got in previous races.

So if you score 700 points today then that will overwrite the 1400 points you got yesterday. Puts a bit of risk into the races for you, unless you think you can get more points. The last race you compete in will be the points you get for the round.

So here are my races from yesterday, I'm pretty stoked at the result as it seems my not racing online and practicing a lot
has improved me considerably.

I might retry Manufacturer race today since I am now back to DR C as will probably get more points but shall see if I have time.

Here are the video's:

Yep, it’s like a shot at redemption. If a person really blows the first try in a very bad way, it’s another shot. Especially if you were run off the track a few times, no fault of your own.

But the max points it give for my race was 61 how people had 119 ?

The stronger the lobby, the more points on offer. A lobby with loads of A+ drivers can offer over 2000 points often, and occasionally over 3000. A lobby with all D rated drivers is only going to rate a few points, because it is against less skilled opposition.

So the lobby where someone got 119 points would have been in a lobby with higher rated drivers than your lobby, plus there are loads of lobbies even higher rated than that one.

Well, since I had to choose Manufacturer again, I went with Mitsubishi. Missed the 8:00pm Nations so, messed me all up tonight.

Used the Evo IV. Started 16th, finished 16th.

For next race if I'm doing 2:00.214, I'm sure times will be in the 1:53s.

For EU they are 10 slots , 5 today and 5 tomorrow. I've raced my EU ccount 4th and 5th slot.

1st win Manufacturer with mercedes , 6 laps medium and 5 laps medium too for safety.

Nation with a 2d place with the SFR , less than a second behind a norway wild viking boy in a F50 :nervous:. Before i did a first try with a porsche but the car is penalized at the rolling start in 1st gear , it almost stop when upshifting to 2d and people behind you pass easy. Out of this it's a good car to be used no ABS BB+5.

There is no race today in Brasil South america account.
Eyy, that norwegian viking boy was me!! Cakacool :):)

This is a very good thing , i hope they will also do this for the same racing day. If you want to race again after a medium race , it will be a bet and not a new chance.

Group 3 Alfa actually felt alright in race trim, with the extra fuel weight helping to stabilise it. The pace wasn't quite there though. Still, it was worth taking the hit in Group 3, because now...
Alsace is the ideal Gran Turismo track. You may not like it, but this is what peak driving simulator looks like.
Time to get my revenge for all the times the aliens have pounded me in the past :D.

Did ok yesterday with Manu race, took four races to get a result after getting spun in two of them..
So thanks to PD i can concentrate on Nations tonight hope to get a good race in with no need to re enter ..
See some drivers entered again after scoring more points than me Risky devils..

:cheers: This was a fun race , well done. I think i've saved the replay.
Yes, i did it my self as well. It was a hell of a good race, never thought that I would win, hoping for top 3. Il send u friend request, your a legend.

There was an in game notification about the rule changes last week. Points from the last race entered are now the only ones that count. Beware of disconnects in the last time slot.

I had a great run in Manufacturers yesterday scoring 2570 in the Pug, however Nations was a disaster and I hated every second of it, so naturally the only logical thing to do is try it again today :sly::lol:

Is it me or are the options in the Final countdown like Driving Options and Points not showing up? Or how long until the race starts come to think of it...

Ed - Okay! 5PM Nations race, qualifying is over and we're all stuck in the pre-race screen. No options. Can't quit either unless you quit the game. What a fantastic start to the new season this is.

Same here, after the race, i had the screen frozen on my final position, until the game kicked me off

ps:why i am able to rejoin the race again in national cup?

A new feature they added in November I believe. You can race in all the Nation and Manu events for the day, but only your last attempt will count for points. So only retry if you know you can do better, or if you like to live dangerously.

Watching Kie25's stream and the start was bugged, it went tits up very quickly.
They need to get this sorted.

Nations: Started 6th, finished 6th, 763 points.
Manufacturers: Started 14th, DNF 17th, 139 points.

As of now I am boycotting Lake Maggie, and never racing on it again. Horrible track.

I got disconected on the nations today... A bummer since saturdays are quite hard for me.

And lago maggiore is pretty good imo. Flows great, and has good passing chances. It was a bit weird the first laps on reverse, but fun nontheless

Is there a game-breaking bug now?
Both of my Nations races today froze whilst in 3rd and being on pole for the following race, which included a bugged start. For the second race, my brake started applying itself (yes you read that correctly), slowed me down and then the whole thing froze. This has never happened before.

I have decided to switch from Dailies to FIA for the 2019 season, currently a B/S who hasn't raced competitively since last November.

I did a few practice laps at Dragon trail for the Nations but was about 8-10 seconds off the ultimate pace, even in the META. So I went for the fun choice, and detuned the GTO '84 to race with. It was a race of two groups - those on the real pace, and those on my pace. I qualified 11th and was holding on to it until my children arrived and distracted me enough to lose a place or two. Finished 12th with some nice close battles on the way, 243 points or so.

I'm happy enough with that - won't race until the kids are in bed next time.

When they did go to bed I decided to have a crack at the Manufacturers, but there were only 2 minutes to the deadline so I jumped in cold. I'm signed for Ford and using the GT. My god, that was the worst performance I've ever put in. Qualified 2nd last, 10 seconds off the leaders. I was forced to brake for corners that nobody else was braking for so I was basically a moving road block and getting shunted all over.

A head on collision with the barrier on the left as you shoot downhill to the first big left-hander sealed the deal early on. After that I was fighting to keep it on track and absolutely shredded my tyres within two laps. So it continued. A couple more spins and another collision, two pit stops, lapped by everyone down to 10th. What a freaking nightmare, I think I need a DR reset.

edit - there was one other GT driver who started 8th but finished 16th, is that a coincidence or have I picked a lame duck? Be nice if there was another excuse beyond my lack of skill.

My Manufacturer Championship race from tonight. Bottled qualifying as usual so the race was all about moving forward. It was also my first competitive race since upgrading to my new Fanatec wheel and peddles so I learnt a lot and managed to bring it home in 6th for 1417 points.

I must work on not letting the pressure get to me in qualifying though, I was setting 54's and easy 55's in practise yet ended up barely in the 56's after my two attempts which makes the races much harder work than they should be. I'm pretty confident and happy with my consistency in the races but delivering one lap pace when it matters is my focus gong forward.
