Hi guys

Every time I try to enter the Nations or Mana screen (to do free practise) I get taken to the screen with the 3 daily races.

I have deleted temp files from global>Network and saved and restarted the game as the notice suggested but nothing changes.

Any suggestions?

Started 14th at Nürburgring. After pitting on lap 5 I end up in a battle for 9th on lap 8, with a group of three who pitted on lap 4. I get a much better run going on to the back straight than the other two, and I'm up the inside at the kink when the guy on the left slams into me, knocks me off the track and into the wall. Several people then pass me as I'm trying to get back on the track and because I've got damage I end up going into the back of someone at the chicane, knocking him off and getting a three second penalty. Same as the original **** who hit me got.

The end result of this is finishing 16th and managing to get red SR in an FIA race. Absolutely ****ing seething.

!!!!!!!!!!

Qualifying at Interlagos. Missed a flying lap on my first try because of ******** track limits. I cross the line to start my second attempt with ~2:40 left, so I can get two tries. As I'm coming down the back straight, a Porsche comes out of the pits and stays just enough ahead of me to be a block into turn 4, and doesn't get out of the way after that. I end up getting a penalty trying to avoid ploughing into the back of him, so I'm going to start last. Which is stupider in this situation? Abject ****ing morons that come out of the pits with no regard for other cars that or on the track, or the penalty line system which in this case penalises, effectively, two laps? Why should my attempt at a flying lap be impacted by something that happened an entire lap previously?

The guy that blocked me put in a qualifying time of 1:35.0 and is starting one place ahead of me, as it happens.

I hate the 'Ring GP/F, and I just can't find a car to suit it. The Lancer everyone's using for the top 10 times is mince and chews through the tyres - I'd be as well using the Atenza. Any good alternatives? I was thinking of going Dark Side and grabbing the Megane Trophy...

Megane Trophy and Alfa 4C dominated NZ/Aus running, no stopping on softs was the go.

I’m gonna use the genesis it’s good on tires and has pretty good handling.

I managed to break into the 31s at HueHuedromo, those track limits are outrageous, I got penalties so many times in t-1, this is worse than the death chicane.

I have no answer. I did the same. I guess I was lucky to have gotten into both races. Afterwards, I took me a while to get into the SF19 Free Practice. When I was done with that, I joined a Daily Race B. Went to try another FP and couldn't get back in, the rest of the evening. Hope it gets fixed.

A mixed car line up in my race. No Trophy and two 4Cs. It was me and another Scirocco. A 4C was on pole, but the other Scirocco won the race.

Decided to remove link, I may have had poor language a little more than I thought. Will try to improve that in the future.

I qualified in 16th and drove the Alfa on the mediums. Managed to get up to 7th by the end. Pretty much everyone ahead of me was in the alfa and started on softs.

I had a great drive during the Manu and I loved the tracklimit settings. Curbs can be taken but not with 4 wheels and that's the way I like it. Drove conservative and below my limits to just prévent myself from doing something stupid

Managed to drive it home from pole. Had an Audi on my tail but hé made a small error which left me with a steady gap. Did pit end of lap 7 but didn't really need to. Citroën once more on the podium :D

I had this and using the dpad to select race instead of the stick worked.
Or was it the stick instead of the dpad?, I forget.
Anyway, whichever input you're using try the other one.

What's the go with nations ? It's not a tally of both my scores? Why are they only counting my best score ? Isn't it best 4 of 10 ?

Over these 10 rounds and indeed the 30 rounds after that, your best 1/4 (25%) of scores will count.

The standings now only shows your best 25% rounds at any point. Seeing as we have only had 3 rounds, your single best score is shown.

As soon as we hit the 6th round, it should tally your top 2 scores (6/4 rounded up) . At least that's how I think this last bit works.

Yep, spot on.

It rounds up, so after 10 rounds, your 3 best scores will count. After 20 rounds, your best 5 scores will count. After 40 rounds, your 10 best scores will count etc.

I have absolutely no pace at Interlagos. In practice I managed a 34.5ish, but in qually I was a second off that which put me last (matching my best would have put me 12th).

Got up to 15th watching everyone else get track limit penalties while I was being super careful (partly why I was so slow I guess) but they were all able to pass me again, so I finished 1 position up. 45 points lololol. At least my SR is back to 99, but I lost 1300 DR. No repeat race, because I would just shed more DR. I just can't go fast in Brazil.

My DR never seems to stabilise in a place that actually reflects my ability (probably because all the weight is on SR). In Daily races I'm running top 5, in FIA I'm DFL.

Has anyone ever thought that there is some kind of hidden system or handicap used for slowing drivers that are close to the top split but aren’t in the Top Split. I was about 1.5 secs off the fastest guy in practice then a full 4 secs off in QF. I couldn’t get close to my times even after repeat entries of the same race. 2.5 secs of my own time is a huge difference.

In the practice lobbies with same race setting I was able to run close to my best times, but as soon as I entered the FIA race I lost 2.5 secs.

Also noticed my car handled differently and needed more steering inputs to straighten or turn.

Something is not right here. I’ve always suspected that the guys with 70k + DR either get a performance boost in their cars either through a better handling car, or slight speed advantage compared to the drivers in the 50-60k bracket.

Also noticed if you drop below 50k the performance of the car suffers.

These races are too madening for me. Started 3rd and dropped like a rock, SR only dropped for contact that wasnt mine (and when it was mine it didnt count anything, good job pd)

Ended up 14th before I quit the lobby. SR dropped from 99 to 82 so I wont even try again tonight, races spaced out 2 hours apart is too much to begin with.

Nope(sorry), I have raced against some of the best drivers in the game and they are simply better than us norms. They brake very slightly later than us and they control the throttle slightly better than us (also generally they are on the throttle slightly earlier). Doesn't seem like much but if they take a tenth of a second at each corner, then you are looking at a second a lap difference between an A+ and an A driver.

Not sure why you struggled so much, but it isn't the cars. Only thing I can think is that qualifying for the FIA has loads of fuel so maybe that is causing your issues?

If using the fast guys as a reference but I’m well aware they are faster, and I don’t pretend to be at their level. But, I was 2.5 seconds slower than my own times.

I’ve raced the over 150 times for 45 wins, I’d say I have a decent understanding of how to race on that track.

I know tyres and fuel are variables but 2.5 seconds slower than an hour earlier with the same race settings in a FIA practice lobby makes me wonder. Something more is going on.

Manufacturers
Wasn't a great qualifying, but I was still only 4 tenths of pole - got 12th :(
Did mean the race was a good battle, and I made some progress until i ran into a Nissan with a BMW behind it, and then I was basically stuck - that Nissan is just a monster in a straight line.

Nations
Made a complete mess of qualifying, and ended up 16th, so decided to put mediums on and then hopefully catch people towards the end of the race. Seemed to work as I was just able to just hang on for the 1st 5 laps and then I started to close in on the guys ahead. Had some fun trying to get through the pack of slowing cars, and managed to get briefly up to 6th before I got gently pushed out of the way at the last corner (I was a bit peeved so I gave the guy a wee tap before the line).

That gr.4 Alfa really needs its tyre wear increased a bit.

That feeling when you enter another race to get more points but end up losing points due to almost half the grid disconnecting. :grumpy:

Did Nations twice today. First try was PACKED. Both Nations champions on the field. Managed a good 4th in qualy, but got a pen, dropped down to 6th and couldnt improve. Gap to 3rd was less than 1 second in the end. Had to redo the race. On the second try (video below), qualy was terrible but still managed 3rd because the field wasnt too strong. Opted for a slower start of the stint to preserve tyres and attack in the second half, it worked.

For Manu I ran only once. Average laptime in qualy put me in 5th and it was all about saving tyres to make the no stopper with the Jaguar work. Unfortunately, everyone in front of me also didnt stop, still managed to go up. Had decent pace and very good tyre wear, which was promising for the future with Jaguar.
