I qualified on Hards. I was 18 seconds slower than pole. :eek: :eek:

This stay puffed marshmallow guy is annoying. Still blaming me for his penalties. He and another car chose wrong tyres anyway. I gave them as much room as I could for the start of the lap. This dude wants to pass on turns instead of straights. Matter of fact, he bumps off a Mustang at T1!

He gets a penalty for contact with me. Oh well, I got a clean bonus racing with two other cars to the finish. We all gave room even when one player was struggling and the other was on fresh tyres. We all raced fair, three wide even!

I guess that is kind of my point.

If everyone left a 1 minute gap to the car in front here, then only 7 or 8 cars would qualify with a time. I guess it was just bad luck to have gotten in that situation.

The Trueno race was more fun than I thought, and I had some great fun dicing for 14th place with the others at the back of the grid. Also got a Clean Race Bonus for about the first time ever in an FIA race, which should help me get my driver rating back up, after that disastrous Super Formula race the other week.

Took two attempts at the Nurburgring race, but managed 4th in the final time slot, after being knocked back in qualifying (and also penalised) by other drivers driving into other drivers, who in turn drove into me. The race itself though was mostly positive though, with most drivers who crashed out moving out of the path of those still in the race. I only drove one Porsche off the track, but he was moving in on my right side at Antonisbuche, in my defence it's really not a wise spot to try and overtake someone on the outside, when they're most likely going to move back across to the outside. They would have been far better off waiting and then pouncing on the inside. Oh well, really happy that all the practice paid off 👍
 
Just did my first ever FIA race, the Tsukuba Toyota Sprinter. Used my 2nd account, as I thought it was bound to go horribly wrong at my first attempt. As it turned out, I qualified 2nd in a B/B lobby, and it was a no brainer to no stop it, so no problems with not being familiar with the pit lane entry. The field simply spread out, I neither overtook, nor was overtaken, all race. +1100 DR, +30 SR, 643 pts.

1st victory ever in FIA, i don't drive much so as you can see i only got 764 points.
Qualified 2nd while the 1st was a french driver with the Renault.
Surprising enough a very calm qualify aside a Vantage crashing which luckily didn't hit me while rejoining.
The Renault driver ended up making the mistake of doing 1 stop with mediums, allowing me to take the lead for the rest of 2nd lap and he sadly got caught up in the traffic.
Nerve wrecking race regardless still happy
 
Manu race had plenty of idiots in it tonight. Qualifying got ruined by someone smashing me off leaving me in the gravel facing the wrong way. Took an eternity to get going again. Ended up 14th on the grid with 3 people behind not even setting a time.

Start of race made it up to 9th before even getting on the the nordschleife then again punted off, rejoining in15th with heavy damage. Eventually finishing in 12th. Very disappointing especially being car no.1 in the lobby.

That's a target on your back. I've been Car #1 several times and punted off. Guess players want those valuable points.
 
I got a penalty in qualifying at the Nürburgring after a guy went up the inside of me at the right hander before the straight. I went into the wall and got 1.5 seconds.

He no-stopped and finished 3rd. I hate myself for clicking on it, I'll hate myself during it and I'll hate myself after it, but I'm trying again.
 
I got m u r d e r e d at nurburg. Supra couldn't hack it and come race time i was last and backwards in the wall. Actually rage quit because quali had been a puntfest and then a long wait.

14th to 12th in my 86 race, 3xx points. Lots of battling, Had fun so I decided to quit on a high.
 
Just wondering, if i play a round 2 times a day, first match i got 2000 points, second match i got 1600, which one will be counted?
 
Ended up with 5th. Might have been able to get 4th. DR at its highest ever. Don't care anymore.

Re: tyres and qualifying, this was in the GT-R after 1 then 2 laps. Out laps were 10+ minutes with traction control at 5 and brake balance 5.

Trueno race went okay, got in Oceania top split again. Quali mid pack and got stuck behind 2 battling cars the whole race. Such a processional race lol. Solid points but doesn't improve my total.

Nurb race was my first FIA dealing with such a long track. Quali is a bit of a joke really having to drive one v.e.r.y s.l.o.w lap to preserve tyres. They should allow us to take a shortcut using the final hairpin of the GP circuit. I was discussing strategy with other drivers pre quali and ran out of time to change tyres, so had to make do with RMs :ouch: Still qualified mid pack though so it was ok. Then in the race, I got slapped by a 5 SECONDS penalty coming out of the NGK chicane. No 🤬 idea why. Didn't touch anyone. Didn't cut the chicane. Turned a potential 5th to 11th place. I don't normally get emotional as it's just a game, but I was fuming last night. Tempted to break my rule of only doing one slot but just can't be bothered anymore. Just feels so demotivated for the rest of the season now 👎
 
Nations was...Ok. Qualified dead last (as I sorta predicted with the track and car combo), but it wasn't the crash fest I was expecting. Was just abit of a long parade really. Felt way too much like that 9 Hour enduro from GT5, to the point where I was dosing off abit with 2 laps to go.

It was clean at least and I got no penalties or contact.
 
Nurb24 went surprisingly well for me considering how little practice I had. Qualified poorly in 13th, but finished 6th 8 sec off leader.

Just tried to keep it on the track and waited as others binned it. Quite surprised at how aggressive some were to pass where it just wasn’t on. Got a 3 sec penalty because someone tried to force their way through on the narrow bits. And lost time following a train of cars into the guard rail :lol: otherwise could’ve finished 4th.

I was in this lobby. Started 4th in the pink Attenza an finished 3rd . I ran myselt narrow to avoid the McLaren and scraped the tire barrier. You and I had a drag race to the downhill left hander. I figured I would stay wide and give space on the inside since I would have the inside for the next turn. I think you lifted a little early. Very clean driver. Thanks.
You looked like you had a good race. Clean smooth lines. If not for that off on lap 2 you would have comfortably had 6th.
 
Gave the Nations at Tsukuba a go,finished qualifying a little frustrated, was on provisional pole from my first flying lap, but couldnt improve on it and got pipped by 0.012s . With the top 8 seperated by 0.249 second was a pretty good starting place. Spent the first half of the race trying to distract the leader into fluffing his lines, he didnt. COntemplated pitting on lap 7 (the field was well spread out) stayed out and spent the last half dropping to fifth after I chewed up the very inportant front left tyre. Ended up just hanging on to fifth, so, frustrated for sure, but it could have been worse,

 
Another solid finish in Nations Cup. Qualified sixth with a time only 2-3 tenths off pole. A relatively uneventful race compared to Bathurst, but managed consistent pace and lasted long enough before dropping a few places. Finished 8th on the road in the end, my fourth top-10 result in five races.

Yeah I was the one who tapped you in the first corner as everything got rally bunched up. So once we got clear I gave the position back. I did lift early. It was still the opening stages of the race and a lot of mistakes were yet to be made. Why start there. :lol: I also had a good race with "kramiT". And thanks for saying I race clean. I do my best but I don't always get it right.

I was there , it was a very good race with 95% of respectfull fair drivers but i was victim of the 5% at the beginning of the first lap.
During qualification i did a mistake that almost finished in an accident so i've decided to drive safely and finish prudently in 9 position on the grid.

After the start , dealing safely with others racers in the middle of the pack. Coming at the left turn entering the old part of the circuit, a crazy furious guy rammed out a driver behind me that finished on the grass and myself who stayed on track just because of the guardrail , all this in the same left turn , just to say how furious was the guy. No way to pass 2 cars there without leaning on both. What he did unfairly.
He goes wide in front of me in the next turn so i've stayed on his side out this corner. Bad choice again with a furious guy like this. He rammed me again violently and i finish out spinning in the grass slaming the rail , resulting in last 18th place far behind the last car.

At this moment the race begun to be fantastic , i was alone , dealing with my car and my tire wear , focused to join the pack again and go as high as possible up in the rank.
I had chosen a very special tires option that worked very well during my tests . RACING MEDIUM at the rear and RACING HARD at the front with the brake balance full front at -5 It work perfectly at least on the porsche 911.
I've gained position after a very fair fast race , happy to caught up till the 13th place just in front of the bad guy that rammed me out 2 laps before.
I BELIEVE IN DIVINE JUSTICE. :cheers::lol:
Bad result but very good recovering race , happy with this.
 
Any tips for blue moon? I think I got the gist of it and it's the execution that's holding me back but maybe there's some little trick I'm missing

I only ran a few laps last night in the practice session, but from what I gather, you want to hug the inside as much as possible without hitting the bumpy parts, and the only thing you can really do wrong is to oversteer and lose a little grip. Very light steering inputs, and release the turn gently on exits to maintain grip in a straighter line. It’s real easy to turn the wheel too much.

Wow, are you using a controller? My front left was at ~40% red at the end, whereas yours is ~60% red. Pitting never seemed a viable strategy, as my 11th lap was 1:18.2, vs laps 3-5 averaging 1:18.1. My last two laps were getting a bit slower.
