I haven’t finalized my decision yet, but it’d be easier to switch if Spa wasn’t first, haha. I already know how to rip the F-type around there.

Tried the Atenza at Spa, in the alt account. 1.5 seconds from the bottom 10. Car felt quick and stable. Braking and off-throttle cornering is way better than I remember. Sure, I was on RS, but the change in direction felt better than I remember.

Don't know about the pre-season.

Did a short 3 lap custom race at Spa last night with the same event settings as the upcoming round and the soft tires were toast at the end.

I’ve found that you really have to lift and cost a lot with that car to try and save some tire life, BB+5 helps a bit but there is only so much one can do really. It does drive well though before the tires start to go. :)

I may return for the full season. For now...

Hello, fellow Nissan driver. :D

Decided it was best to pick my top Manu choice now as a test run. The Gr3 GT-R and I are best buds for whatever reason. Unfortunately can't mix tires anymore for the Gr4 GT-R like I did last time but fuel saving might allow for tire saving as well.

Im in a dillema of what manu to choose. All of what i consider, are back markers

Dodge; Mazda; Subbie; Mitsubishi.

They are fun, but its just a DR loss with them. Gimme advice, oh fellow GTP'ers of the championship
Got plenty of Top 10 finishes with both Vipers in Exhibition Season 1 last year, so Dodge is far better than what the main season ranks suggest. Gr.4 version in particular is a surprisingly well-rounded car in my book, but both versions can go far with smooth driving and good fuel saving techniques (short-shifting, mix adjustments, etc.).

The Dodges are basically beginner cars that are easy to drive but one the worst ceilings. If you skip Gr4 races, then all the others are possibilities.

Plan here is to play around with fuel maps at corners and using a gear higher than normal on entry. Gotta put those RCZ tire saving skills to use.

Going with the Alfa Megane TCR. Only four Gr.4 races and the FF should be good on the longer tracks. Spa should be okay. Fuji just has the esses towards the end of the lap, So, shouldn't be too bad.

Lago Centre II might be a struggle.

It was mid 2000's. My parents have owned them since 1988 and still do.

I've just always had bad luck with them. And when I've driven others, I just don't get the big deal.
My Elantra Sport is about the equivalent of a Civic Si (for a bit less money because Hyundai) and in almost 3 years and 62k miles it's been about 98% trouble free. Just needed a squeaky cooling fan replaced twice. Still puts a smile on my face after every drive. The first car in a long time I can actually say that I'll never sell it.

Might try my hand at the Manufacturer's Series this season, but I dunno who to roll with. So many conflicted options:

  • Ford and Chevy are both fast (for now) but tend to chew tires and guzzle gas
  • Jaguar is a stable all-rounder but might lose out on tire wear depending on the multiplier settings per race
  • Mitsubishi seems to lose out on top speed in both Gr.4 and Gr.3
  • Renault is a mixed bag if the Megane Trophy gets a strong nerf and the Megane Gr.4 gets a buff. Haven't tried the RS01 Gr.3 yet.
  • Mercedes-Benz seems like a good choice as I'm loving the AMG-GT3; haven't tried the SLS Gr.4 yet.
So many choices! General consensus says to go with the brand you enjoy driving the most, but hmm...

Well that news may make it possible to stay with McLaren again if only top 3 races count as the gr4 McLaren is pretty competitive but the gr3 ain’t .
Manage top 10 in last two exhibition season with them so I’d prefer to stay
