Yeah, just checked it. It's going to be an interesting one. I may gamble on posting a slower than normal qualy time, to pace myself for a long run. Might keep me out of harm's way and give me fresher tyres for the final laps.
 
That's just wrong. Started my Race Entry at 20:55, waited this whole time during Free Practice and got disconnected at 21:10.

That sucks!

Managed to take part in my race at DT. Started 11th, finished 12th, but would have been around 9th if someone serving a penalty on the penultimate lap hadn't decided to escort me off the road in turn 1. The rage is strong with me (well it was, but at least I got to race, so I guess I can't complain too much).
 
Anyone has problem to connect to PD? After practice, failed to enter mfg race. :grumpy::grumpy::grumpy: I am in offline mode now.

Tested PS4 connection to internet is ok and fast.

Edit: 4 minutes after the entry time connection to PD is resumed.👎

There were a couple of spinners in my race one in front and one behind. Funnily enough both had WRXs behind them. Hmm...

Took it slow and steady.

Something else doesn't seem right. I've even noticed when I've lead races.
I was catching the leader from about lap 4. We both pit end of lap 8.
I was 2 seconds behind after the leader served a penalty. What gets me is, I am sure I was faster. No mistakes. I was happing the car behind as the leader was pulling away from me. His /her Pole lap was only about 1/10th faster than me(that's how close the top 6 were(with me starting 6th).

The leader seem to have a boost in performance. Either better tyre performance or boost in power. Something.
I've noticed when I've lead a race(s). It's like no one can catch up. Not taking away from anyone's skills. Just wondering if there is something to that.
 
As expected the nations race was a complete sea of red and an absolute cluster 🤬.

Standing start so of course some geniuses dive bomed T1 creating a sea of ghosting, un-ghosting, resets and penalties for almost everyone from 4 or 5th down. First penalty received there and I've no idea why since cars were everywhere. Should've parked at the side of the road and waited for all the recovery vehicles. :lol: Not long after I think I was gifted another penalty as someone unghosted right when i was going past them, 5s thanks. Was gifted another when a player attempted a pit manouver, 5s for me. Received another 5s as a player unghosted right in front of me. I don't think any of this was deliberate but it appears ripe for gaming. Don't tell me this is a tactic now. Curiously, I received a SR down message upon leaving the pits, no penalty seen.

The race was ruined through penalties and it really wasn't that exciting so I was starting to day dream on and off and completely missed a braking point towards the end, slammed on the brakes but too late and launched the player infront into space. Game resets the cars. Before the mistake I had 4s of penalties on the clock, after this mistake I had 2. Should've been another 10, making it 14 and the game left me with 2. Would've apologised but I didn't catch the players name. Maybe the penalty system was making up for all its mistakes earlier though its earlier mistakes are what put me in the place to cause the accident in the first place? Or maybe its just broken.:dunce:

These gt sport races are a bit of a penalty farce if you find yourself midpack. So I'm beginning to come to the conclusion the penalty system as it stands is making the gt sport side of the game unplayable unless you're way out in front or have loads of space between competitors.:irked:
 
I'm glad I gave the Monza race a miss, but am looking forward to watching the videos that get posted. :)
 
For anyone who has run the FIA Nations Cup at Monza already - what was the best pot strategy? Any advice would be appreciated. Currently running 1.52.xxx consistently with my fast lap at 1.51.4xx. I'm curious about the 30x tire wear and how fast they fall off...

No real need to worry about tyre wear. Pit once when you run out of fuel or thereabouts and change tyres then.
 
IMO neither race tonight requires any fuel or tire strategy. It's a simple 1 stop fuel and tires both races. Short shift if you're stuck in traffic to get a jump in the pits but otherwise unnecessary.
 
What the heck, been waiting for Manufacturers for hours and get DC at loading screen..

I'm getting way too many DCs since last patch, had only one since launch until then..
 
Just had the worst race ever. Qualified 8th. Came last. Just gave up. Not penalties this time but idiots turning in on me and spinning me out. I spin far too easily on GT Sport. I'm not sure if I want to do the last race in the Nations Cup. I suck dick at racing anyway.

May not need to change tires for Nations. I ran a mock race and the tires were pretty decent until lap 11 and my lap times were only 1 sec slower over the last 3 laps.
 
Disconnects and blue screens seem to be quite big at the moment :(. Fortunately my blue screen happened after the race when I was checking where I was in the region and not in the race... Definitely think the latest patch has caused some stability issues.
