It's 2 laps with no fuel consumption or tyre wear. I expect to see a strategy guide at some point.
You can bet your butt I'll find the best strategy for that race.

Probably Im in minority, but I dont like Nations stage 3 rounds... Maybe 3 combos looks reasonable, Laguna Seca, Panorama and last round in RB '19. Rest is recipe for disaster, imagine grB on Tsukuba... PD showed some sense of humor, very weird japanese sense of humor... I ask: where is gr1 and gr2 combo, SFormulas?
Edit: knowing that ps5 and GT7 is coming out by this winter, you guys think they gonna shut down GTS servers? Is there any chances for 2020/2021 FIA season?

I'm stuck on the C7 v Cayman. Why not just RWD GR.4 like real GT4? IFf they were thinking USA v Germany, the Mustang, Viper and M4 are a good mix. It's a bit late, but glad they're trying something slightly different. Just complete it.

Scirocco Cup is like the real thing. Took them long enough.

Wow. So I didn't qualify all that great, but was p14 in a decent (for my level) lobby. Whole field covered by 1 second. Slapped on mediums and began short shifting for the no stop. Was slammed pit of the way on the opening laps, but stayed on track and straight anyway. Kept moving up as everyone pitted. Until about lap 14 when my front left started to cry. Was p8 at that point. Slowly dropped to p11 as I simply couldn't take turn 2. Could go well and compete just about anywhere else, but lost something like 0.5 or more every time I hit turn 2. Guys that won all no stopped as well. Won by huge margin. I should have put BB further back but my left front was at something like 25pct by the finish. Still brought home points that count and only got 1 track limit penalty for 0.5 while sliding a touch wide on the final turn mid race when someone tapped me.

Not bad, but man is it repetitive quick. Laps count down real fast there. Good night from me, good luck to you all in your adventures.:gtpflag:

Surely thats a one make Porsche race? Cayman was pretty much the best car there last time there was an FIA race. C7 has been improved though hasn't it?
C7 runs pretty good at RBR, versus the Pepé le'Pewgeots. Maybe Chevy users know if it's performing better in tyre wear races.

As for the USA v Germany, I remember Kaz drove a C7 around Laguna Seca. Doubt that had anything to do with this combo, but who knows? ;)

Well a bit of a surprise to read the Nations selection for Round 3 of the FIA season, tempted to find some time for those races particular R27 now that there's a race involving Route X, not sure I will bother with Manufacture's much but given the races are usually less stressful than daily races it's a good chance to work on my continued learning about fuel/tyre wear.

What's the general plan for the F1500 race at St Croix, anyone got any suggestions strategy wise since I feel like doing this random combo race?

I was glad for starting at the front, Laguna Seca feels a bit to small for these Group 1/LMP1 cars personally. Group 3 feels right there.
Agreed. It’s very difficult to overtake at the best of times and Gr.1. cars are like 2 metres wide.

I’m not a fan of Gr.4 cars there though. They’re too heavy and you have to take some of the corners so slowly to avoid under steering off the track.

The SSRX race is so dumb it feels like a placeholder that wasn't updated. A lap time in N800 is under 5 minutes, are we really going to do a sub-10 minute race then have to wait an hour for the next slot?

Early testing against the AI has the Mach Forty as the car to beat, for what it's worth.

Looks like PD will be providing the cars available(from website). One of them will be the 458 Italia (from in game calendar)

Don't see where you're seeing the 458 as all I see is Specially Provided Car when checking that particular race info?

LMP1 cars are a bit deceptive in there dimensions but overall are a tad fast for Laguna Seca. Group 4 cars are fine but I definitely prefer group 3 and downforce cars in general.

If you load up the championship calendar in game it says it there

Once again consistency from PD! Say one thing in game and something different on the website!

Oh well this is going to be a case of "Oh god...oh ****" from a certain meme, I just hope it's not as chaotic as my mind forsee!

EDIT: Actually comparing the whole thing with the one on the website it looks like we have "too much info" on the in game calendar!

makes more sense
That's a bit strong.

We do a shakedown race after an evening's srsbzns at SSRX. Max power Mach40s, max boost and slipstream, no rules. These usually end up with one or two people dead by the first corner, and then a dedicated Fordtrain of slipstream and bumpdrafting right up until someone gets put in the pit wall coming out of the last turn.

I suspect that this race will be no different.

I think I'm going to do every slot, regardless of what points I get.

Interesting video, that. Don't get me wrong I love Gr. 4 cars, I just find them a bit frustrating at Laguna Seca. Having said that I've avoided that track in the past but I put a tonne of practice in for this race, and much prefer it as a result. Prior to that I was either hitting the sausages or making a trip to the beach.

Funny that, people always like a track more when they know how to drive it properly.:lol:

A LOT! Like, all of it.

Never again, lol. Have to play during primetime hours.

Thank you! Looks like some fun races in the Nations... I may have to start competing there as well over the final stage.

Little disappointed in the Manufacturer series seems kind of boring honestly, not too much jumping out at me. No regular Spa again, meh.

Looking forward to Sardegna track B, Brands Hatch Gr4, Maggiore Gr3. Not much going on Gr3 wise... going to be rough going in the Mustang.

Nations really looking forward to the Corvette vs Porsche at Laguna, R32 @ Autopolis, N800 race. Sound like fun!

Wish they would do GrX 60s cars at Le Mans but I'm happy with what we got minus the entire manufacturer series

Corvette vs. Porsche at Laguna? As much as I love the Corvette, I just don't see why anyone wouldn't choose the Porsche for this track.

I'm really looking forward to Yamagiwa in the Manufacturer's Series. Literally my favorite road course, with nice, sticky tires.

Being an oval racing fan, N800 at Route X sounds fun as well. It'll be like NASCAR restrictor plate racing, only way faster. Practice your bump-drafting now, folks!

Gr. B should be a good race for me as well, since I surprisingly got my first road course win in FIA with those cars.

Also, we finally get to race one of the higher Redbull cars!

The rest of the schedule is "meh" and I'm disappointed there's no more Gr. 1, so I guess I won't be actually scoring any points in that category...

For those wondering why it's only Porsche vs. Corvette. Back in the late 00's the two makers had an intense rivalry within the GT2 class, and the peak of that was this insane battle at Laguna Seca for the race finish. Unsure why PD went for the Gr.4 cars though as this was Gr.3 equivalent racing.

Nations round 27 looks like we have to use the cars that they select for us.

From the website:

Please note that in Round 27, to match the unique characteristics of the circuit players must select from the preset N800 class cars in order to participate. Players will be unable to adjust the settings for these vehicles or participate using Garage cars. Thank you for your understanding.

This should be interesting.....
