IME the racing tends to be much better in FIA races than in daily ones, if only for the reason that the lobbies tend to be much better matched.

I'll second this as I had a very enjoyable set of FIA races at Nurburgring and Brands Hatch on Wednesday, very clean and all round good
racing.

Hoping for the same tomorrow but my *aim* for Brazil is I'm clearing off from first place to win if I can since I'm so confident round Interlagos right now.

Just open room for practice in FIA tomorrow, open till World Cup start feel free to join. :gtpflag:

Room name : FIA Practice

I had some questions:

-What's the name of the theme that plays during the Nations Cup intro? I do know that the Gran Turismo 4 version of "Moon Over the Castle" plays for the Automaker's Series...

-How do I view the more "in-depth" rankings for a previous season? E.g. my rank for my state? On the official site, I can only see my ranking for my region (the Americas) and nation (USA).

-On a similar note, how I do view how many players are registered with my state? I'm asking because it just shows my rank (IIRC I was ranked 12th in Connecticut in Season 1), but for as little as I know, I could be 12th out of 12 players in Connecticut.

-Are the "Top 24 Superstars" races events where most players wouldn't have an FIA race that day? Or is this an extra event that runs concurrently with a more typically-accessible event? I.e. will I be able to enter the Nations Cup Gr.1 @ Maggiore race as a more typical FIA race without any points bonuses, despite not being in the top 24?

-Just how is total ranking determined over the seasons? I know there's a ranking for each season, but how are these points/rankings added together at the end? How will I determine how I rank within my region/nation/state after those last races in early September? Or is each season meant to be its own sort of thing?

-Is there also a way to view how my various rankings (e.g. regional/national/state) have changed per round?

I don't think anyone knows the title of that theme yet

Go to the point rankings section of the FiA Championship you want to see, and then select the Season

Same solution as above

The latter. However, the 3rd time slot will be reserved solely for the Top 24 Superstars race so you cannot enter that timeslot without DR S

The rankings are seasonal, and serve only to compare your points with your peers in each season, except when you're either in the Top 200 in your region or Top 10 in your country/manufacturer choice, in which case you'll get DR S
Is there also a way to view how my various rankings (e.g. regional/national/state) have changed per round?
None

It is also because divebombs tend to enter early, as soon as they see the lobby open, and you can only participate 1 time. I noticed a substantial increase in racing quality depending of the time, I suggest good drivers take mostly the last 2 time windows.

PS
I recently contacted someone from my same region who didn't even know he was racing a FIA Championship. Some people just enter and race (divebomb on people) and leave without knowing what kind of lobby they joined. But they can only do it once. Hence, the later the better IMO

I decided to upload the manufacturer's race after so many comments on it!

Nice race. I finished 5th or 6th too but not in as strong a field. Z28 was in mine too so not sure why you got so many more points. In any case GO FORD!! And good luck with the stangs. Iv done pretty good with them.

Edit: nevermind I must have finished 6th which may have been the difference in points which was less than 100.

So I had decided not to take part in FIA races tonight, but found myself turning on the PlayStation after the F1 FP3. So I did the manufacturer's race at Bathurst, a mostly AS lobby, and I have to say that it was the cleanest race I've taken part in for a long time. I qualified 12th, made my way up to 8th and then managed to escort myself off the track coming out of the chase (and spun in the pit lane like a noob). Still, had a great battle over 11-13th over the final few laps, but had to settle for 13th.

Quite an enjoyable race.

Shout out to @Baliwa at fia mfg race.

I have never found the rhythm of this track so not surprised that this was my 1st race here. Quali and finished at P2 which I am happy with. It was a damage limitation for me.:D

Then again here's report from slowest yet aggressive S ranker :dunce:

Meet @xxxman1 in Manufacture Cup, damn he's fast as hell  Different like me only get my peak at qualify and race only around 2:07 in race nothing good tire is totally goner since lap 4 to 6 make me almost throwing towel chase 9 position in the end of race. But something magic happen 2 people front of me doing mistake and I can get 8 position

Nothing to tell about Nation Cup just get stupid internet failure from my provider make all car not move in start and only me run in track alone wth :banghead:

Did the Man. Series at Bathurst, another grid full of aliens, including TX3s, Oscaros and your majesty @TRL LIGHTNING, who of course won the race :p But this time I was somewhat consistent and, thanks to the errors of others, grab a sweet 13th place and 981 points :mischievous: considered the grid it's gold for me

I will skip the Nations cup today since : Automatic trasmission + Gr. 2 gas tank can't cover half the race without short shifting = NOPE

It's not so much fuel as it's tyres (10x).

Cars flying off left and right at lap 8 and 16

Got punished for not shortshifting tho, wasted so much fuel I lost 2 positions in pit..

I did a test race this morning, so my fears were real :nervous:

Finished the latest Nations Cup race in 2nd. (My best result so far.) I was in third but the guy in front of me had penalties for days. My Driver Rating even increased to C after being in D for so long.

I also ran test earlier and it seems like the tires were good enough to go 8 laps before feeling like the car was on an ice skating rink, fuel was the tricky bit for me as I ran out midway to lap 7.

What was your strategy for Nations? Pit end of lap 8 for tires and fuel?

There were 2 cars ahead of me that went in at lap 9, but they lost at least 3-5s in that lap, so even if fuel gets to last for 9 laps the tyres just go bananas.

Is there a way to report people for ramming in Spprt mode?
Therewas a guy ramming non stop to climb up thefield, shockingly NOT getting penalties for it either.

Did the nations. Qualifying could've gone a bit better and ended up 6th.

The race was mostly drama free. A player was sticking to my tail for maybe 4 or 5 laps at the start so I let them by or at least there was no fight put up. Figured they must be in a hurry and also so they could return some of the slipstream favour. They then proceeded to try and burn their penalty in directly front of me! The first lap they did this it caught me by surprise. Wary of unghosting penalty nonsense I slowed as well which let a few players behind get a bit closer to us. Almost too close for comfort. So the next lap when the same player did it again at the exact same place I went straight past them. Predictable and I didn't see them again all race as this got them caught up in whatever fun the two players behind were having.

End result picked up a place and finished 5th. Clean race.

If it makes you feel better apparently you can report them in game.

You have to click on the offenders name in the results screen and choose report player.

Had my 3rd disconnect in Qualifying in 5 races at Nations Cup. This isn´t fun anymore. 🤬
How should someone score in half of the races when you can´t even participate?
Additional i lost 5000 DR scores in total just because of this. PD needs to do something, there should be a possibility to reenter a lobby after disconnect.
So if you did like 5 min in Qualifying and you lose connection, you can enter again and start from the box into your last 3 min with the best laptime counting you had before or after that.

How did your fuel/tire strategy pan out?

kinda figured that's what would happen

It wasn't an easy win ^^'. Currently i am having my period of having my final exams so i can only practise like on the day itself where we would be racing. I and @Zkippe had an unneccesary penalty where dayrone braked a bit earlier than before and because of not wanting to hit his car i braked earlier as well but me and Zkippe both made contact. And because of that we both were having a penalty unfortunatly.

For the Nations cup i had great racing against the likes like @mthomas_95 and vp_vjeed (hope this was correct xD). Thought i would be having a bad race because i started practising for this one after finishing my manufacturers cup xD.

Let's see how the third round is going to be hehe
