I'm french born in Marseille, i've left France at 20 years old and 35 years living in Brasil.
For the game , i use french because i hate inches and lbs, this don't speak to me at all. So french metrics units , till PD offer us the metric option for english that most of the people who are using my tunes are from (US mainly). It could be portugues too of course.
That's the reason why...

My PS4 is English USA and I had no problem changing GTS or any other racer to metric. Maybe you missed the setting in config?

For tuning settings to change to metric you have to change the system language, learned that while trying to use Praiano’s tunes. Changing to metric in game only changes distance and speed.

I never had a penalty during that race I even got the clean race bonus! Maybe the Ai predicted a penalty for me due to lag?
I have the replay saved I can look that part up. But right now I can't reach gtsports servers:irked:.
That's so weird, I purposefully pulled out of the draft on that back straight thinking even if you repassed me the penalty would give me the position back.

Check out the replay from OutlawQuadrnt. You can kind of see where you passed me starting at 5:07 if you look in the top right corner with the "TV view." That's where I saw you get the penalty. Then jump ahead to where you're in front of OutlawQuadrnt at 8:16 and it shows the penalty above your car.

But on the post race screens, at 21:28 and 22:25, you have a Blue S and no penalty dot. (I have a red S, but didn't have a penalty in the race, so all that bump drafting hurts SR even if there isn't a penalty given.) Also you are only about a tenth behind me at the finish, so impossible that you could be so close with a penalty.

The penalties are a lie.

?? Tell me how , i've tested all the english available configurations , i just know the option kmh to mph ...

@bloodyboyblue explained above that with the PS4 in English tunes will be Imperial no matter what.
I know, i was writing my message during this time and i didn't saw it, i've had some pizza to do , i'm at work . :indiff: No way till PD give us this option in the menu.

Yeah, looks like I race in an alternate dimension . I also notice that I kind of squeeze him into the wall.

Here is the part where I overtake you from my car onboard. After looking at it again I notice your car move like if we made contact.

Also I did not even touch @OutlawQuadrnt but I see him move a bit.

Sorry it would take like 6 hours for me to upload the whole race. Crappy argentinian upload speeds.

Praiano is french

that's a massive revelation
 Not really a fresh new. I'm not a Les Bleus supporter if you want to know , Brasil na veia sempre. 35 years living in this wonderfull country. My family is a lot bigger here than in the old continent after al this time.

Indeed, you did not hit me from your side. On my end, however, you did. I tried capturing the views from the exact moment in time. Look at the radar, specifically.

That's not where I was, game! :dunce:

Yeah, also looking at the white lines on the floor you seem to be almost in another lane in my view.:boggled:

Now that I think of it. I remember wondering how on earth were you going so fast while going so high during the whole turn. Looks like we found the answer.

I find myself is the unfortunate position of be the first person to not to make in to the nations Superstar race. 17th place overall, but 11th in the USA.

Worth a try anyway, possible that someone won't be able to make it.

Either way, only Season 3 counts, so better to miss this one.

For Nations in Asia only four out of the top 24 are non Japanese. In fact most of the top 100 are Japanese.

With a soft limit of 10 per country and a handful of players not registering for "S" there might be some players much further down the list being given the opportunity if they try their luck.

I’m losing faith in my knowledge of DR though, since last night I finished 13th with car #15 and lost DR, and finished 8th with car #3 and gained DR. Both minuscule amounts but still...

There's a dedicated thread explaining how DR works in great detail, but in a nutshell:

The door number on the car (or the starting position in the race, for that matter) doesn't matter for DR, only the finishing position does. As a rule of thumb, finishing in the top half of the lobby gains DR, finishing in the bottom half loses DR, unless the DR range of drivers in the lobby is large. Since FIA lobbies tend to have a relatively narrow DR range, the rule of thumb tends to be accurate for them.

Let's say you're 3rd for your Manufacturer and you attempt to enter the star race in case one of the top two doesn't show up but you don't get in the race. I assume you can still race the "normal" slot afterwards, right?

Anyway how Superstar race work now? Is that use Top 24 racer or Top 10 per country?

I'm curious as well.

Obviously you must be DR S. Then from what I gather it seems to indicate the selection is based upon points with a maximum of 10 players per country.

The race is also longer 23 laps vs 15.

From what I understand about Top 24 races:
  • Need to be DR S.
  • Nations will allow a maximum of 10 per country (3 in EMEA Region) and Manufacturers is maximum of 2 per manufacturer.
  • So for everyone that attempts to enter the Top 24 races, it just takes the point ranking and allows them in (starting at the highest ranked and working down) until the maximum is reached for each country/manufacturer and all 24 slots are filled.
  • If for some reason, this process doesn't fill all 24 slots, then it fills with the top players beyond the maximum limits.
For example: Nations in Asia/Oceania Region will allow only the top 10 from Japan that enter and skip all other players from Japan to fill the other countries. If there are not enough other drivers that meet the requirements to fill the other 14 slots, then it will allow more than 10 from Japan.

Sure it wasn't a very strong room but still full of S at 80% and my A+ bar level didn't move any mm ....

I was in this race and in practice running consistent low 1.56 with some 1.55s in there. Had a terrible qually which means middle of the pack on that track = no good. Wish I could have been up there we would have had a good battle.

I say I wont race that track again but I seem to run good times there so Ill deal with it.

Edit: Also, Im a low A+

I think I know what happened. My viper didn't give an f about being bump drafted for about 1 full second becoming an unmoveable object causing weird things. Pay atention to the rpms
I'm just about convinced that what you said earlier is true and we exist in parallel universes. Somehow the GT Sport FIA Race was a bridge that intertwined our realities. This was the clue that convinced me.

Thanks man

Manufacturer is two per manufacturer. But aren't there like 25 manufacturers? That would mean 26 people have to be left out somehow. Does it also take into account manufacturer position in the championship?
