Manufacturer is two per manufacturer. But aren't there like 25 manufacturers? That would mean 26 people have to be left out somehow. Does it also take into account manufacturer position in the championship?

That’s just luck. Takes overall championship position first, so if you’re in a weak manufacturer there’s little chance of ever getting in

Just finished manufacturer race. Clean and clear no paint marked on my car. :D

Didn’t get a clean lap during quali, settled at 5th on grid. Downed to 7th after 2 laps and stuck in the traffic behind a GTR and a Mustang. No way to pass them on the straight so decided to follow and save fuel. Pitted after lap 6 with the Mustang and came out of the pit ahead due to fuel saving.:yuck: Both of us undercut the GTR and another 2 cars in next lap.

It became a 1 on 1 race for 4th and 5th place. We pushed each other hard. Surprisingly we had no contact at all though a couple of changing place. 2nd and 3rd served their penalty at lap 12. Suddenly we were racing for podium. However, only 0.8 lap fuel was left in my tank when I started the final lap.:ouch: Map 1 till bus stop and lap 6 for the remaining. Lost 0.2s at the end with zero fuel.:mischievous::D Chatted with P2 both were happy with the result. Friend request was sent after the race.:dopey: Nice race:tup:

Good luck to GTP mate:gtpflag:

Anyone else think it's kinda crap that Saturday is one of GT Sport's dedicated FIA race days? Not sure about the rest of the peeps here but Saturday is usually the busiest day of the week for me. Between meeting up with friends or family events, and especially now with this heat wave over Ireland, it's very hard to find time to do even one of the two races of a Saturday evening.

Pretty much every week the most active days are during the weekend, they've set the races therefore on a Saturday because statistically more people are clearly available then. For people who are free more during the week for whatever reason, there's a Wednesday race.
It is literally impossible to run a championship around every single players' lives

It would be a lot easier if they staggered start times throughout the day.

What's pretty mad about that Wednesday race is we never had one on that day (for test seasons), bar that Wednesday when an update was on the Monday.

Decided to skip the Man. series today; simply I don't feel it with the combination Alfa + Dragon Trail (probably Alfa + Tokyo central will be better) :indiff: Got a semi-full alien grid in the nations cup, got an OK 14th place with 813 points in the bag :)

Man this is BS... I could not race last Saturday so I am 85th in the Europe and this way I could not enter the Superstar because of 1 single race that I was out, living my life... I thought this "only 4 out of 8 best races count" is a good thing but there's only been 3 races since the start of the season... I think there should be only 1 Superstar race at the very end of a season. That way players that live their life aren't handicapped.

Having a life is and always will be a handicap in Gran Turismo!

The struggle is real.

Dont mean that in a bad way... Just - join the club mate.

PD frankly only care about the aliens who will sacrifice anything to race and have a shot at winning. That's obvious from the way their structured the championship to only focus on the top 1% of players.

I would be much more invested in this if there were multiple trophy levels where I might have a shot of winning something. I race in FIA because the races are better than Sport mode, but the races I'm in are meaningless in the larger picture.

Yeah, I think Sunday would be better. I don't think we can blame 'em for not predicting a heatwave here though.

New old penalty system in A+/S lobby.
Hitting another car on the straight is allowed.
Pushing off track is allowed.
Carnage is back.
Thanks PD.

Well, it seems the whole manu lobby got shot to oblivion or?

No comments needed I believe, epic fail!

Half the lobby drop? I froze "Waiting for players to finish getting ready" during lobby transition in manu, so had to power down, then in Nations during quali literally 50% of the room just dropped... GG (Y)

Busted down to an SR B rating from an SR S earlier this week at the Nordschleife and was dreading the carnage at this weekend’s FIA races. Had such a bad race today at the GR.1 event down Lago Maggiore. Ramtopia more like!

SR B and below is just a wasteland of filthy drivers, will be making sure my SR rating is A minimum from now on.

So that's the last 2 manufacturer timeslots in EMEA written off (including T24)

Glad it was Manufacturers and not Nations that got mass disconnected

Yup it's a bit of a ruiner for me personally. I mean it literally means you can't have a life for the first half of the season for the really crazy countries and also rely on lady luck for lobbies and not getting a blue screen or disconnect (Like manufacturers tonight). Literally one of those in the start of season 3 in UK and it's pretty much game over... The minute I believe I can't compete for a place I'll stop, and in manufacturers that could literally be the combos of season 3 when it's announced.

I'd much prefer a season finale to rather than a mid season finale and the drop off after being huge...

And once you can't get in the superstar the whole season is lost for you because 2x points.

I got kicked out in the 2nd and 4th Manufactures timeslot during matchmaking. Did T24 took place? Just saw Zoky got kicked out as well.
Its a little bit frustrating if you got time to practise and you are not able to race cause of this 🤬 service from Sony and/or PD we are paying for.
