Plenty out there at the moment that have an original account, now joined a team so created an account for that and race with both.

Doesn’t seem right to me but I guess we could all do it.

Stupid question but with these teams, what does it actually mean, do you get invited, do they have separate races or is it purely I’m part of this team thing?

The top ones actually enter “eSports” events as a team, otherwise I have no idea. A lot of people just put acronyms at the beginning of their name to look special, though, so I have no idea who is actually on a “team” or not. I hate acronyms. Don’t see the point in creating another account unless it’s in another region, and even then you should only be using your “real” account when it matters, like in the real FIA races.

That’s a bit optimistic, we’re usually about even and the Mazda and Mitsubishi are about even and the best I could’ve done in that race was 7th, Top 5 was beyond our vehicles capabilities (except in the hands of aliens like the Mazda that won)

No video of us battling at Kyoto? I usually would’ve let you by and not fought as hard but the guy behind you is not my favourite guy to have behind me, so I was fighting mostly to keep you between us, and only let you by when he was a safe distance back.

That race was the second race this preseason I’ve miscalculated the fuel amount and put in 1 lap too few, cost me a 5th place finish and a few hundred points and DR (since the two guys who passed me were both A+), ended up 7th due to having to run the second half of the race on mode 2-4.

Uploaded it cause you asked for it! I was gonna let this one go cause it wasn't the best race for me, I lost way too many places because I went too wide twice at the same turn :ouch:. But racing you was really fun! Nice livery lol

Hang on, so Nicolas (ORMA_Snow) has two accounts now!? :confused:I hope this new account is not just for a second chance at the top spot of the championship.

Yes, but for his case a second account wouldn't mean that... He's pretty safe with the points he's already got, a second account wouldn't make a difference really.

Hey Sharkart, I am Thisisridicolous. I had a great time racing with you. Thanks for keeping it very clean. Watching Nico disappear through the S curves was very impressive!

I can say the same! In the final laps I had a moment that made me lose 2 seconds, because my pedals slipped away , too bad because I wanted to challenge you. Really well done 👍

A lot of teams will have it on contracts to have their name/acronym on your PSN id, and sadly unlike Xbox you have to set up a new account then until Sony finally give us an edit function.

We'll see when the Star Player system launches whether there's a point to team accounts though :sly:

Well, that's only part of the problem. Another issue is that it takes away points from everyone else. It looks like everyone lost about 200 Championship points. It can definitely change the Championship order for those a few steps down. And although much harder to calculate, everyone takes at least a small hit to their DR.

It can also change the race itself. I have no idea what happened, but the driver on pole had some sort of accident at the end of lap 2. All else being equal, they would have been driving alone with a 4 second lead, so it's possible that there wouldn't have been an accident.

I won't even get started on all the Senna/Prost incidents that could occur with alternate accounts. I know this is just preseason, but better to point it out now than later.

Looking at it that way... Maybe I could've had about 100 points more on that suzuka race if he wasn't there... It's hard to think of a solution to this though, maybe the important competitions could limit the entries by PS4 console other than by account. (Or twitter like verification?)

I'm pretty sure the Star Player system will be put in place shortly before the official season (so probably next week's update), and they have addressed this sort of thing 👍

Also rest assured for any official live events that will happen you need to supply ID before they confirm your entry.

Thought we may be due a teaser

Be interesting to see what this star player is, maybe tied in with DRS perhaps

I wouldn't feel that bad. First off, pretty much every driver in that room were in the top level in this region; a de facto Top 24 Superstars type of lineup.
Yeah, I guess it was just very unfortunate that this was the race where I get pitted against all the top class drivers; a race at a track that has proven to be incredibly difficult for me time after time.
Second, I remember you because you came in with an Audi TT. That's coming into a gun fight with a white towel.
Is that so? I do wonder sometimes if it's just the car, but I feel like blaming the car when you have a bad race is too easy and makes you look petty. Besides, I've gotten pole and won an FIA race in the TT before, and there were a couple of A+ drivers in the race that I recall (back when A+ was S). Also, @NommyNom was with me at the tail end of the field, and he was driving the 86, which quite a few other people in that race were driving if I recall correctly.
Third, the attrition level I thought was lower than usual so there weren't that many opportunites to move up the field.
I felt the same way, which made qualifying last all the more disappointing. To be fair though, I did only get one lap in because I went for a second lap on the same tires and realized too late that that was a bad move.
Certain time slots are going to be much harder than others. Being in the hardest room may be good for experience but if you're not in the top level and/or you don't have the best car, then watch your DR tank and get far less than points than if you had joined another room.
Well fortunately, my DR didn't drop massively from what I can see, but I was going into this race looking for some good points after BB Raceway and left completely dissatisfied.

That time slot is usually the hardest for Manufacturer's and the slot one hour behind for Nations. Depending on your skill level, you may want to play those hours or choose a different slot. Always remember the objective; maximize the number of points you earn.

It really does depend on the quality of competition around you. If the overall times are about a second or two off the top tier, then one can use just about any car to win. At the top level, though, that's where even being off by a half a second can render a car uncompetitive. In Gr.4, the FF cars have a disadvantage in tire wear since the fronts will get chewed up over a long run. Even if one could get the car to start near the front, staying there would be a major challenge.

I do wish you didn't have to go all the way around the track before you start a qualifying run. Technically, you get 10 minutes to set a time but at places like Suzuka, it's less than 8 with no chance to pit if you want to set a time with your original tires.

So the official FIA season won't start until mid June giving a break, I will miss the FIA races though. Wish they would add a non FIA championship in to keep the good racing going. No details yet as they will be released closer to the start.

On another note the Ferrari is screeed at Interlagos Tyre wear is killing it

On a positive note, at least there will be more A+ drivers in Daily Races.

There will be a lot of drivers going on holiday around this time. I hope it doesn't interfere with everyone's plans too much.

On a side note, enjoying your videos, really good watch and good commentary. Very fast driver too, you’ve had some pretty good results in tough races!

There seems to have been more on the daily races recently, maybe it’s the time of day I’ve been racing but a couple have been like an fia top lobby race.

Does this mean we are not getting the announcement on 1st June now?

They will likely announce the new content on 1st June. I'm guessing they'll add 2 circuits, namely Le Mans & one of Spa Francorchamps/Silverstone.
They might reveal the format of the series, such as the calendar.

True, would guess given it’s starting mid month the structure could well be different potentially a longer season

I heard few times that spa isnt coming because it cost 2 mil.

Probably a longer season with more circuits on offer.
If you look on the FIA standings on GT's website, there are rounds 9 and 10 listed. I think this implies that the championship will be longer. It may be just one race per week too, but that's unlikely.

@SolidSnakeXiX Good grief. That's a massive shame.
That should encourage GT to pick up other tracks which are perhaps more famous domestically than internationally.

Some suggestions:
Donington Park, Oulton Park, Snetterton, Zandvoort, Zolder, Okayama, Misano

You could try a two stop strategy, Hellzfire did it in a race at yamagiwa with the citroen when I was racing him... It worked in our race.

Not really an official source though, so there still hope plus other racing game developers that have probably much less budget that have spa in their game fork out 2 million?

If they add 2 tracks I think it'll be one real and one not real, maybe even one of the classics. But I think we'll only be getting one track

Dragon Trail Combined is an inevitability. Also wouldn’t be surprised to see BB get an infield circuit. I really couldn’t care less about real life tracks, I just want the classic GT originals, Trial Mountain, Deep Forest, Midfield, Grand Valley etc. Spa would be nice though. And I don’t believe that licensing cost since as said before much lower budget games like AC and PCARS have it on their roster.

I’m glad there’s a break, I was worried we’d enter an endless cycle of pre-seasons

The good old MR Gr3 tyre wear! Last FIA race at Interlagos the 2nd half of each stint was all about nailing the exit of the last corner because I lost lots of time in the middle part of the lap (thankfully hard to overtake there though!)

He learned that from me from the last test season at Kyoto , but it only works there because of the short pit-time. Interlagos you lose over 20 seconds, whereas at Kyoto a tyre change only stop costs you only 5 seconds.

I understand teams and the need to have a new account for it.
But also what u say.

It’s not their fault but it’s not also our.
It’s the way Sony and PD manage the users and subscribers acoounts.

On Daily Races I quit during loading screen (the one with the grid) if it shows me one or more known player with a new Team Name, a strong player that is now C or B and 1 or 2 seconds faster than me.
It happen a few times, I’m A+/S and losing with a player like that has a huge impact so I’m not giving my points...
On FIA races it’s harder to do that because, I believe you lose your daily entry...

On a side note, enjoying your videos, really good watch and good commentary. Very fast driver too, you’ve had some pretty good results in tough races!

Thanks Not sure I can do much at Brazil tonight, top the Manufacturer now but that will probably change, if I finish in top 10 I'll be very happy though

Ferrari is not the easiest at Interlagos! But only four races count so you should have already got four good results for the final standings.

I might be in your race, as I’ve been in one of yours this season. Look out for a slow Atenza!
