I just finished 13th with the WRX after qualifying 14th. Mixed A+ and A lobby. Given how slow this car is I was happy to take 576 points and finish as the leading Subaru. This was the worst possible combination for the Scooby. Have faith, keep cool... Things will get better.
Thank you for your words Subaru colleague ! :D and Congrats ! 13th with that Subaru is a great result ! I started 13th on A/S grid i finished 16th 330 points only :(

A/S driver here. Had some very weird matchmaking during yestersay’s races.

For the NC I was put in a somewhat competitive room. Qualified 5th and finished 2nd.

For the MC snagged the pole during qualifying and won the race by 20+ seconds. I noticed that the room had 2 A/S drivers including myself and the rest were mainly D/S. With that being said I got a measly 181ptd for winning.

Hoping to get matched into higher ranked rooms for round 3 and bag some Ws.

Watchin hellZfirE's Nation Race, I didn't realize you could still cut the chicane like that. I thought the devs made a pass at some point tightening up the corner restrictions.. Is everything the same but La Sarthe is just super dumb?

And I hope they just add separate Gr4 and Gr3 championships at some point.

I hate this track because of this. Basically, the fastest there is the one who can cut the most on the chicanes :/

And not spin xD, the track is awful, I think that's 1 track I'd love to see tyres on the inside of each part of that chicane.

Don't know why PD abandoned the tyre walls, i really liked them. Maggiore gonna be horrible now.

I think they just need to evaluate each track individually some of them were in such random places that I really didn't get. I assume they didn't keep them because they looked a bit silly at Nurburgring GP for example layered on the outside and I did see some carnage with them with people nudging them into them. But 1 tyre on the apex of a corner, or maybe 2 if it's a long corner should be there, not really close to the track but enough that cutting the chicane at Yamagiwa is not ridiculous for example.

As you say Maggiore is going to be crazy... They did say they were going to work on improving Maggiore at the Germany finals as we all had a gentleman's agreement to stay in the white lines there.

"Maggiore is going to be crazy"

Just looking at Wednesday's Nations race.

Red Bull Junior......at Monza......

........with 30x tyre or tire (depending on your location) wear.

That is surely going to be a bangfest.

Felt like an almost mistake free race, didn't have to take defensive lines or engage in battles, beat some super fast guys, @TRL LIGHTNING is still averaging nearly half a second a lap faster

Pretty interesting with the cars as well. It seems I was averaging a good pace throughout in the Nissan, the Corvette was faster in the first few laps of a stint and then the Supra was faster in the last few laps of a stint. Both stints Pumpunku was right on me until about half way through and got fastest lap but then he started losing time at the chicane and dropped off and at the same time suddenly Snake took his place right behind me. Close right to the end!

My nations curse might be over!

In both Manufacturers races I was able to go max fuel mix with one stop. And today in Tokyo I didn't change tires. Wear was surprisingly low for the 4WD WRX. Maybe I was just being a little too conservative after my Suzuka disaster of bad qualy and stupid mistakes in the race.

I was only able to keep up on the straight when I was glued to someone's bumper.

I had to run at least part of every lap on fuel mix 2-4 and still barely made it to the finish. I didn’t change tires either but the fronts were still 75% worn at the end. I was also the #1 seed in my room so that probably made up for the speed deficit of the car since I was better through and off the corners than most of the rest of the field. Don’t care how slow the car is, it’s perfection everywhere else makes up for it. Always been my favourite car in the game, and shows what garbage the Mazda Gr. 4 is.

#1 for Subaru at the moment! That’s the goal

Impressive pace m8! Also i compared my overall race time with the overall race time from l-shooter and surprisingly i was 2 sec faster than him hehe

You beat one of the Gods of Asia :bowdown::bowdown:

^^`
I also almost beat his qualifying time as well but lost 0,2 sec on the third sector on the fast right hand corner - slow left hand corner because of oversteering hehe. But still i haven't thought even for a bit that my pace was that consistent and fast on the same time at this track xD

For nations i went with the Lancer against the Supras! Decent pace and race.

Manufacturers race went a lot better than i expected. Very hard room, but somehow got a very low scoring because there was some As there :(

Not sure what happened with how they matched us up either. It seemed on Wednesday that the matchmaking was ok. I get less points too when I have to race against a bunch of a+. That was an awful race for me anyway.

Our God beat your God. Take that Asia:).
Asia shall not fall so easily! I said Gods ;)
Dauble-Weapon, I choose you! Pokemon Theme Song

I'm taking that as a win if I were you especially that you don't think you're at peak form on that track

Pika Pika pikachuuuuuu xD
Joke aside i wouldn't really interpret into those times that seriously because a win is a win right? :sly:
And also we all have to look at scoring good points hehe
And maybe that comes a bit too late but good luck guys for the championship xD

Thanks man! I really need it
You too

I have a guess what's happening. People are avoiding these slots because it is known as the hardest in the american region. Or maybe it was people avoiding the track. Or maybe both. So there was less A+ signed up for this slot so the game called some As to join the top room.

Im seriously thinking about changing the slots because im running against people like @Doodle and Snow, and when i beat them i get barely 2.1k points.

I love battling these guys, but unfortunately our rooms are getting low scoring.

I woke up this morning and I still can't believe how I pulled off this recovery drive for Manufacturer's Cup. No penalty either!

Good clean race. Enjoyed to watch your moves. Great run.👍
Surprised with the tyre life that allowed you to push all the race.:dopey:

What slots are people running now? It used to be third for Nations (which I did this time) and fourth for Manufacturers. Not sure if I'd be better off in a different slot or get slaughtered but have fun with the better people. Eh probably won't matter anyway as I suspect I'm going to lose my rating soon enough. I want to actually play the game so I mess with Daily races maybe once or twice but it destroys my ratings.

I always thought points were awarded largely depending on the strength of the competitors in the lobby.

Would not being in a lobby with the top rated guys award more points for beating them than beating lower ranked competitors?

It is still 3rd nations and 4th manufactures. I have no idea what slots people are changing to.

It is based on the strenght of the field, but since it's easy to be A+ on this game, basically any room will give you big points if you're A+. Some will be a lot harder to be at the top (and it won't reward you with more points than the others usually). Luck is a big factor in America. In Europe, they have a looooooot more players so in consequence a lot more aliens, every slot you go theres 5-6 top guys there at least.

Just dropping into the topic after reading the posts about the blockers on some tracks being removed.

I presume this also means they are gone at Interlagos (Brazil) as well?

Whilst it was not the other drivers fault i had a bad incident where I got squashed into those blocks on turn 3 and
thought to myself they could be a problem in the actual race season.

Will have to keep this in mind I guess when it comes to Lake Maggiore race.
