Although the Red Bull Junior car is a lot of fun and forcing you to be super smooth with the wheel, it would've been nice to see Gr.2. cars on this season's calendar. I haven't came across one person (yet) who doesn't enjoy driving them. The only issue is the NSX's tyre wear.

The Redbull junior is an absolute mess. It felt a lot better on GT6.

It's incredibly unpredictable. A bit like the go karting.

So I'm not the only one who dislikes the performance of the X2014 Junior!

I must be the only person who likes the car haha! Just drive it like the GT5/6 go-kart and it drives perfectly :). I just hate the 2nd chicane cut, I've never cut there before due to the sausage being so high, but I have to and it's the cause of most of my failed laps.

sounds like it's going to be a very interesting race

Me. But I don’t enjoy Gr.3 or Gr.1 either. My enjoyment declines with the numbers.

Does anybody turn on traction control as tire wear progresses?

I’m using McLaren and the thing is just awful when the tires begin to wear

I know I saw a video of a fast guy in the Gr3 Ferrari do this. I didn't do this in my one test season for McLaren. I was able to control it but my pace suffered.

On the Ferrari I just keep it at TC 1. I've tried increasing with wear and it doesn't really help.

I regret choosing Ferrari; the serious deficiencies in the handling model of MR cars in this game (combined with the non-linear throttle) put them at a disadvantage as soon as tire wear is introduced. A millimeter too much throttle can end in disaster once tire wear sets in; I still don't understand how Kaz thinks this is acceptable.

How dare he want his game to simulate oversteer when tires are worn!!!!!

(Yes I know MR Cars are underpowered overall but World Tour members mentioned that it is being looked in to)

Go watch GTE endurance races and see if the Ferrari, Audi, or McLaren cars have their back start coming out right and generally driving like they have oil on the tires right before they come in for a tire change. It rarely happens.

I hope the new tire model will improve the situation. But the over-delicate throttle will remain a factor as long as this non-linear throttle remains.

My view of the FIA manufacturer's cup | 1st season - 2nd race | Full Race :D

When I see the way you use fuel mix 1 all the way, and compare that to the SLS (and that it can't do the same thing without swallowing up precious fuel), I tend to get a bit rage-faced lol. Along with it's horrendous weight and weak economy (it's a selfish, lazy, fat pig right now to be frank), I wonder when PD's gonna do another round of BoP changes. Still, congrats on getting great traffic for your fastest lap in Quali, and great job on seemingly flawless race. Looked like a perfect Nations Cup event. :) 👍

That's more because of accelerated tyre wear which makes the change between good tyres and worn tyres incredibly quick and hence hard to adapt to when highly accelerated.

Yup, somebody posted a video of a GT3 Ferrari at Brands Hatch and he was accelerating hard almost as soon as he cleared the apex of the first hairpin. If you tried to do that in GT Sport, you'd spin twice!

Nice seeing everyone absolutely hating the X2014 and it's totally random rear end. Imagine being at a major event where literally everything is decided by how fast you drive the damn thing in 1 Qualifying session, that's another world of pain ;)

I'm just glad someone who's sitting on top of the euro leader boards has the same ideas as me about x2014

I don't think you understand how bad the Physics are with this game...

Edit, btw just take the mk3 supra around any 180 degree turn in 2nd gear half throttle, then try 3rd gear half throttle and tell me the difference with and without boost.

The most annoying thing about the RBR Jr is the incredibly high delay on steering, especially when you're changing directions quick, like you do on the first chicane. It's so hard to get it right, at least on DS it is like this.

And if you try to countersteer, you're dead.

Tyres could possibly be an issue. For anyone getting ready for the event, I'd suggest do some practice with race settings in a lobby.
Also testing out the grid start helps too. :)

On the last few months i started to always keep the fuel map at 1, no matter how my fuel is looking like xD
Maybe they will change that on july tho who knows
But thanks man!

Did some practice in the Red Bull. It takes a while to get used to it. For a "high downforce" car it really likes to slide at high speeds. It also feels like there's an elephant riding between the rear wheels, the car feels HEAVY. There is a big difference in grip between the qualifying mode and actual race conditions, more important than usual I'd say.

For the MFG I'm only getting mid 39s in the Mustang with fuel and tire wear. Someone in the lobby had a 37.999 in the Mustang mid race. Yikes!

Had a few laps around Monza last night in the RBJ and I have got used to it a bit.

Still way off of my usual target from the top ten times though.

I did have a look at the Italian guy's time (I think) that is at the top in Europe after my laps and it looks like I'm losing time through the Lesmo's and Curva Vialone/Variente Ascari section.

It looks as though he is lifting and coasting rather than braking through the Lesmo's....can any of you A+/top drivers confirm or deny this?

You know, the X2014 may require enough driver concentration to drive that Monza will be much cleaner than average.

...

And I just saw pigs fly in the sky.

Speaking of pigs, the Jaguar hates Dragon Trail Gardens. I'm considering skipping it altogether.

Sorry for the rookie question (seeing so many top players in this thread is mind blowing), I’ve been practicing in Arcade with the RB junior to get a feeling of possible race conditions and I couldn’t select BoP, it was off. So, I’m wondering, does it mean that we can setup this car?

Sorry if I’m asking something silly here, 14 hours work 5 days a week don’t allow much spare time to test things.

I don't think you can change the settings as there is a separate option used which is 'Settings: Fixed'

The reason that BOP cannot be set is because it is Gr.X and that Group isn't overall meant to be balanced

Gr. 4 Manufacturers Cup at DTG, is14 laps and the Daily Race is 11 laps. I see, using my NSX, I can go 8-9 laps before pitting. May or may not be a two stopper for some cars.

Race C = fuel x7
FIA = fuel x6

In a simulated FIA race I came into the pits in lap 7 with 27% fuel left.

Well I have not had any practice time that I'd have liked with the Red Bull X2014 at Monza so I will be going into my races on the
deep end but that looks a pretty impressive time but my only unknown I need some advice on is pit strategy.

I am guessing it will be a one stop race but I am a little worried about the x30 Tyre Wear as I'm not good at keeping the tyres
together

With it being a 13 lap race I'm guessing the strategy should be to think about pit lap 6/7 but if I do end up with bad tyre wear and I
have to go in again should I make it Lap 5 and Lap 9 to try and minimize place losses?
