Ugh, why so much Gr 3 and 4 in Nations, we have enough of that in Manufacturers. It should be different stuff. What’s the point of there being 200 cars in the game if only 40 of them are used for 80% of the FIA races? And don’t even get me started on the “rally” tracks....At least there’s an oval race. And Gr. 4 at Brands, where the WRX is one of the best cars.

Also, the 24 Superstars race is 2x points for Round 4 and 3x points for Round 8, so the points totals for round 4 at least aren’t going to quite be as ridiculous as before

Got to admit, I love how high that Top 24 selection system makes the stakes in early rounds,

And yes, the Blue Moon layout is indeed the Oval :lol:
 
I'm frustrated beyond words. I set a miracle lap during qualifying: a 2:03.826, good for 4th.

As the race went by the person behind me (we all know who he is from the daily race discussion) was really aggressive, making me lose ground to the people in front. He's clean so far so he's nothing more than a little annoyance. However at the next lap he goes up my inside at the first of the two last right-handers, and I give him the inside. I thought he's going in too fast anyway, so he'll go out of the track, and I'll give him an undercut. Fair enough he does go wide, but he then proceeds to go back to the track immediately and block my apex at the second right hander. I'm usually okay with this, but the frustrating part is that he went all the way from the outside of the track, re-entered the track at a literal 45 degree angle, just to block me. It's up to you if it's dirty or not, but for me it certainly is. Needless to say I didn't expect that at all and so I got a 10-second penalty for bumping his rear. I already had a 3 second penalty from bumping him earlier as well so I had to serve it immediately. I got to last and that was the end of it

I'm stuck with 2806 points because of that. I'm seething with rage right now, to be honest :)
 
O i missed that line cheers Matty. So we're forced into doing the first 3 rounds to make round 4 essentially if you're in a competitive nation and 1 bad round out of those 3 and you're out of the top 3 and therefore probably going to be out of the final superstar race which has a ridiculous amount of points again... I really hope season 3 is not like this, otherwise I might just forget doing this.

That Manufacturers schedule looks ridiculous... a superstar race with group 4? The class which is impossible to balance due to fuel and tyres...
Yeah it's really harsh, not sure i like the concept of T24 in the first place and this takes it to the next level.

Forget trying to work together. At least that's what I figured should be the game plan. The Aussie Megane gets a red dunce cap for the whole race. The Aussie WRX also wears the red dunce cap for majority of the race.

I was catching the lead Megane and just got a bit of curb at the esses, before the Liqui Molly underpass. Those Meganes really slow me down. I'm quicker at corner exit, due to more torque. Grabbing them on the straights is a given.

Some of those drivers get too much over steer at the exit of the first hairpin. I have to take evasive action. Which, allows those behind to gain time on me. If the other Aussies would have taken it easy, I was more than happy to move over, as they had more Nations points than me(this was my first Nations race). Oh well.

Sure does :S, I like the idea if they want to stream the race but not the crazy points. In fact I quite like the T24 where it's a base of 0 and x2 points that I can understand if they want to stream and get the best guys in. But the last round where it's just the nutty here's 5 million points... that's just silly.
 
Also, I don’t know if I’m just an hour later than the base times, but it appears they’ve moved the start times an hour EARLIER (17:10 to 21:10) which a lot of people will probably be unhappy about.

Edit: Daylight savings gives it that extra hour so it’s still 6-10.

O no I hadn't spotted that, guess that's me done with the championship then as I can't make the popular lobby if it's an hour earlier lol. I can only just make it when it's 6..

Yeah i definitely like getting all the top guys in one room just not the whole season defined on it, and definitely not ruling out competitors during the first few rounds. But I suppose there has to be a reward or why bother joining that T24 room, 2x much more reasonable but I wish it was R7 and 8 or just R8 rather than R4 and 8.
 
It must be opposite day. Inter Lagos is one of my worst tracks, and Gr3 is by no means my favourite class. Yet I managed to pull off a 4th place in a lobby with an even split of AS/BS drivers, for 831pts (this would have been larger, had not three people been disconnected/quit during qualifying.)

Still, good end to the season for me, which puts me up to 1680pts.

I've been in a room with that Monkey man racer.

Prettt cool you beat that player below you. He/She is usually P1 in a Veyron. Did a bit of blocking on me when we raced.

The penalty system still needs work. A close room and the players connections don't look too crash hot. Rooms like this and you almost know that if anyone get close theres going to be a contactless penalty or some kind of freakish ghosting/unghosting incident at some point in the race.
 
Can't believe they haven't finished the BoPs for Gr4 and they still decide to go ahead with the Manufacturers Series. Despite the competition, Nations intrigues me more.
The 'S' selection is a shambles too.
Without any disrespect to A rated drivers, many high A+ drivers won't get an 'S' rating, which is just stubborn

short question:
Do you have to fulfill the requirements for both cups to get the S-rank?
Unfortunately, I don't have enough time for both cups a the moment so i decided just to do the manufacturer races.
And of course i would like to get that good old "S" :)

Which basically leads to be out of the 2nd 24SS race too because of the amount of points you didint get for not being on the first 24SS race.

This is horrible. I like @Matty28's idea of letting the last 2 races being the 24SS. Or maybe 6 and 8 if PD wants them to be on saturdays.

Not necessarily, as the first Top 24 is only double points with no base points, meaning anyone in the bottom half will get less points than what's possible in a regular race.

The Round 4 Manufacturer Top 24 is also using DR instead of points it seems.

Oh it's using DR points. That's better.

Guess the tie breaker for the people on 75k is season points?

Okay it appears it's DR for manufacturers R4 and point ranking for nations R4. What?!
 
I hate the new Top 24 system...
FWIW, my higher chance of being admitted at a Top 24 race is the points-based race, in which I'll miss out on. The second Top 24 is DR-based, which is nowhere high enough
 
How much SR does it take to be on the top split on the FIA races? Trying to recover the SR lost in monza has been a nightmare :nervous:

Lost about a 1000 DR because the guy in second took me out, and put me behind some D/C ranked drivers who really got out of their way to block me and send me offtrack
