I hate the new Top 24 system...
FWIW, my higher chance of being admitted at a Top 24 race is the points-based race, in which I'll miss out on. The second Top 24 is DR-based, which is nowhere high enough

Don’t forget you have to be a star player to get into a top 24 race and you need to be 18+ for that.

It's not letting me enter the last Nations Cup race. The "Race Entry" button just won't become available to select. Valuble points down the drain. Night ruined.

I hate the practice lobbies where the host starts a race every chance they get, so people joining are just stuck sitting there. It's not hard to just count laps.

Someone was bugging me to do something and it screwed up my first lap. The favor literally took 5 seconds. Now I'm just sitting here waiting for five guys to finish their full race. And yeah, maybe I should just go to a different lobby. But that's not the point. :grumpy:

Woah, now I figured why I was the only one with Renault in Manufacturers:lol:.

The car drives like an oiled potato on Interlagos without CSA!
To start, had no idea they disabled it instead of keeping the barrels for this season, so that's on me, still thought I could give it a try.. What a mistake.

The tail would go off completely in turns without throttling(T7-8 was a lottery every lap) once tyres got busted(lap 4), and I was driving like a grandma!
Easily worst race I've ever driven, and Lagos is my favorite lol
Not to mention carnage in L1, no ghosting whatsoever, people ramming each other out everywhere(high sr S)..Insane!
Had to avoid spinners several times because they would ghost (got penalty for going off track ofc):)

Staying away from the manufacturers for this round, and away from Renault lol.
Dropped 1 dr:ouch:

@ZokyCRO
Just participated you via the live stream,

Congratulations for the podium at Laggio in that strong field!
Thanks man, had very bad luck with the undercut lap as I popped out just behind a pack of cars but what can you do, wanted to try something different then just driving behind in slipstream with this boring car.

I can't believe you have the nerve to plug your livestream here after what happened a couple days ago... Press F for self-awareness.

Why?
I don't look to his decision to make livestream as "self-comercial", I understand this decision as a try to be full transparent after the discussion the past days, where he didn't look good. And that deserved at least my respect.

Still can't understand the Manufacturers Race. I got punted off by @bmxmitch in the Manufacturers Race, he got a 10 second penalty. I had to take a shortcut in T1 because of this, but luckily i got only 1 second, none for shortcutting. Still finished in P12, he did finish P8, first time i question that penalty system. :boggled: Wasn't even mad, everybody makes mistakes, but if it was unintentional and not because of lag, an apology wouldn't hurt i guess.

I decided to go with the Trophy for the Nations Cup Race, was quite a good lobby with A+/S, but it was reduced to 11 players. Because i didn't do training with the Trophy, i didn't do very well but had some nice racing with other Gr.4 cars. @Cabelmania was in my lobby if i'm not mistaken.

Stayed at 2143pts in Nations, and climbed to 1997pts in Manufacturers with Jag. This will net me a star player nomination. 👍

Well I just finished my FIA races.

It was quite an intense evenings racing for me as compared to Wednesday night I felt I was driving very well in all my
practice sessions prior to the races.

Nations Cup I entered the 18:00 race and as expected Autodrome Lago Maggiore GP circuit had half the field running Megane Trophy's and the rest of us had a variety of cars.

I picked the Subaru WRX as I was after a car I knew I could keep on top of it without aid's as the Megane Trophy I can be quite prone to spinning it out easily. :)

Qualifying as usual was very difficult to find a space on the track to post a good time so I was only able to get 17th on the grid and as you've guessed the top spots were the Megane Trophy's.

The race itself was quite hard work with lots of overtaking and defending going on and I had managed to get up to 7th when I pitted
on Lap 6 for fuel and tires but could only muscle my way back up to 10th place come the finish line.

So overall not a bad last race given the infamous Megane Trophy was it's usual dominant self!

My best rounds for the Nations Cup were Rounds 2 and 4 so final score is 302 points.

The manufacturers cup at Interlagos at 19:00 I didn't bother to practice much because my knowledge/ experience of that track
is very high so I went straight into the qualifying session.

Unlike the Nations Cup I was able to get some road space to actually post a good time and managed to get 5th on the grid and had been on for the third but those darn pesky BMW Z4's were quicker than me!

The race started well with no drama up front and I managed to get myself up into 4th place after Turn 1 and stayed at the top end of the field throughout.

Went for the pit stop on Lap 7 and came out in 5th place but had some drama at T3 with P5 (Me), P4 and P3 all together so I ended
up punting 3rd off the track and got a huge penalty and let him retake his place and clear the penalty.

Race finished 4th so finished the season with a good race.

My best rounds for Manufacturers Cup were Rounds 1 and 4 so final points score is 440

Not great points compared to everyone else at your higher ranks but overall I'm happy with the results. 👍

Now onto Season 2!

Yep, I was there :D Maybe one of my best races, since I reach the podium, but of course only because of the short grid :odd: Got 1400 points out of that :sly:

Because its a desperate act of damage control designed to make you forget what hes done, deep down he knows he should probably be banned from the season, he broken the competition rules, intentionally wrecked someone and publically attacked people in this thread, don't let a clean race and a few nice messages let you forget that.

If you murder someone, a few nice deeds don't suddenly balance that out. He's got a long amount of time of being actively positive before Im close to respecting him again.

Had fun with the manufacturers. Got the qualifying slightly wrong, ended doing 4 laps within 0.2 of each other while the tyre went off and the fuel lightened. Ended up starting 7th.

Started the race carefully, and instantly cut the chicane and gave myself a 2 second penalty, but just started working my way up the field until i came up behind the 3rd place driver. After a bit of pressure he went wide at turn 4, so I made a move to get up the inside at turn 6. Unfortunately he turned in and then slid wide after contact with me, for which I got a 10 second penalty. He probably lost 2 seconds, and I had to stop asap as I was now at 12 secs of penalties. Not sure if it was my fault or not, but these things happen.

Still managed to get 5th so was pretty happy and had some good racing with people (including a very good pass by @mataman on me around the outside of T1), and got fastest lap in my Beetle :)

Nations was just mediocre. Poor qualifying put me 12th, got hit at the 1st corner and I then hit the guy in front, so had an instant 6.5 second penalty. From there just picked up a few places, but since the Megane Trophy is so easy to drive there were few mistakes by people and overall it was a pretty boring drive to 10th.

Think I got around 2000 points in both nations and manufacturers, so going to claim that as a success-ish :)

Nations Cup was a quiet affair. Qualified 6th and had a fantastic duel in the closing laps to claim 5th. However the amount of Megane Trophies being used was ridiculous. Including mine, 10 of the top 11 were all Trophies. The only other car in that top 11 was the previously OP FWD Megane. Came away with a juicy 638 points.

Manufacturers was more action packed. Qualified a dismal 14th in the M6, but was able to methodically work my way through the field up to 8th. Managed to salvage 632 points despite the difficult car.

Stream is live, first race in 45mins!

Actually I watched his stream because of the incident from earlier in the week, wanted to see if he always was that way on track.

First off I will say that he drove well and he did not exhibit any shady contact incidents on an overtake in either race.

But let me say that he was not involved and did not actually have a clear overtaking opportunity on anybody on track that held a position in front of him in either race so no side by side battles to make a judgement of in reality.

The first race looked like it was going to be good with 1st-3rd running within about .7 of each other thru the first half of the race, basically running nose to tail. ZokyCRO had started and was running in 3rd position.

ZokyCRO tried a pit strategy to jump in the pits a lap earlier than the 1st and 2nd place car and was probably about .4 behind second when he went in the pits.

The strategy backfired though as when he exited the pits he was in 17th place behind a pack of probably 5 cars battling among themselves for 16th place forward. Granted these cars were side by side and at a slower pace that the leaders.

When they completed the lap the pack of cars ahead went onto pit road but the leaders had exited and were roughly 2.5 seconds ahead so the early pit strategy cost him 2 seconds to the 2 leaders and now the leaders also 1 lap fresher tires and just kept pulling away.

I think at the end of the race it was about a 6 second gap between 2nd and 3rd.

I had started to gain back a little respect during the race UNTIL he entered post race chat and started calling out one of the front runners about the way he was changing lanes going down the straight.

As I had watched the race I do know there was not any instances of blocking because I would have made a notation of that and see what transpired on track as a result.

Any lane changes may have been for adjusting track position for the upcoming section or even changing lanes perhaps to break a slipstream or a draft of a following car but either of those moves would be 100% acceptable or legal and at no time was ZokyCRO in an actual overtaking position on the track to question what racing lines he was taking or why.

Of course I do not have the replay to confirm my thoughts as I was watching the live stream

So the end result was that again after seeing the post race chat my opinion that ZokyCRO seems to think that competitors in front of him should lay down and move over for his highness.

His attitude and the way he talks down to others or always wants to pass blame to someone else for his lack of performance reminds me of some rich brat that has always been given his way just because of who his daddy was.

I actually after seeing the way he acted in the post race chat just because he was not fast enough to overtake the two leaders hope that someone has reported him to PD for using multiple accounts and the second account was apparently used to intentionally damage the finish of one of his main competitors for a finals spot in the championship and he is banned by PD from all championships for life.

These championships do not need participants with that type of attitude regardless of how fast the person has the potential to be.

Edit was to clarify in the text where ZokyCRO qualified and started the race.

I suggest you start to be very careful with the choice of words in the future @Famine

Why don't you post the picture of that suzuka ram into me. I am too lazy to upload it.

Thanks for the support on the stream today people, will keep this going every race. Unfortunately the picture is a bit blurred because I play on 4K HDR and don't have a capture device yet.

I always am - that's why I'm the motoring editor for the news section of the site along with being a site administrator.

For example, right now I'm very carefully choosing to wonder why my name is appearing in that sentence and why you're addressing me in that manner.

 Ahh this is amazing..

Side note: Is the Ferrari Gr4 BoP bad at the moment? Just did some lobby practice and I was predictably slower than the Trophies but the car just felt very crappy on the brakes. Binary in the sense it felt like it was instantly locking the brakes and I'd either understeer or, because I drive it rear biased, crazy tail slide on entry. Super annoying and frustrating to drive. That's probably not a BoP issue and more some kind of physics change. I thought they did an update months ago to remove this weird braking effect and maybe its back with a recent change.. WHATEVER.. Im going to do poorly in the races anyway.

Ferrari GR4 has had much like its GR3 counterpart shocking brakes for a while. But if you adjust to it, it has pretty awesome acceleration and it’s BOP is actually pretty balanced. It’s capable of pretty competitive lap times. It’s generally easy on its tyres as well.

I think he is trying to use you as a threat against me, which is interesting because he dug himself into this hole he is in, and I haven't said anything that puts me out of line other than saying he deserves an FIA ban, which of course has absolutely nothing to do with GTP and an opinion that many people here share.

Anywho, Im choosing to drop this whole debate because a) I think its having a negative effect on the thread now and b) I've said everything I want to say.

Obviously @Famine I invite you to read through the last few pages if this all seems entirely out of context :)

Wanted to do the nations cup race cos I'd only done one but didn't get on in time so entered the last manufacturers race of the day with about 5 minutes of practice.
Qualified P13, decided to just stay out for the whole session to sort out my bearings. Nothing much happened in the first stint just got past a couple of people that had spun.
Came in on lap 7 for an undercut. Managed to jump a few (helped by the fact that the Honda is naturally good on fuel). Was upto 7th but with a few laps to go I went wide at T4 and got a 1.1s penalty for it. Was down to 8th when I got back on the track. Didn't slow down at the end to remove the penalty cos I wasn't sure it would work but turns out it would've, but anyway dropped down to 10th.
Was a decent race given the lack of practice. Unfortunately didn't improve on my previous races points wise, ended up with 2102 anyway, which by my standards is rather good.
Don't know how much of season 2 I'll be doing but hopefully it's a good one and good luck to all :gtpflag:
