Does anybody have any tips for the Manufacture Race tonight at Le Mans? Strategy or anything else would be appreciated!

I’m driving the McLaren, if that makes a difference. I know it’s **** but it’s what I got to work with :boggled:

Ah, well best of luck with it, I'll be streaming Manufacturer Top 24, although apparently everyone just got kicked out of the Asian one...

PANIC!!!! :scared::nervous:

I think PSN went down as I suddenly went offline, restarted PS and was back on, I also went to check the top 24 manu stream and I think it was on but I assume it had already dc'd there as well (Was in practice).

edit: Mines just gone off again... and back on.... and back off again. (In fact its GT Servers not PSN)

If the European 24SS manu race crashes, it will most likely crash on the american server too.

What the hell?

Anyone have a stream/video of the 24SS nations race from asia?

If it does crash, we better hope Monday's patch brings the fix or we have a shambles on our hands.

They will have almost a month to the first 24SS race, surely time enough to fix it.

With the 1.2x multiplier, maybe it will be worth going for other slots if another region had it glitched lol

Its actually pretty good at Le Mans, just avoid penalties and run your pace and you should find yourself gaining positions on Mulsanne straight.
Yeah, in the end the penalties will be the decider in that race :indiff: with the Alfa I managed to do only 3:59:xxx, six seconds behind @TRL LIGHTNING (I know, I have no more words about his speed ), so a clean race is mandatory to manage a good placement :scared:

You can watch my perspective of the Asian Superstar race archived on my twitch channel at twitch.tv/sidawg2

I came 11th so you won't see the front haha!

Got disconnected out of the Manufacturer SuperStar Race... tell ya what if that happens next season there will be some absolutely irate people out there and I don't blame them.

If I missed out on qualifying because I got disconnected from a frankly farcical race that awards up to 11,000 points (making the rest of the season somewhat irrelevant), I'd be absolutely furious. On the plus side its 2 18 am and I get to go to bed now instead.

The points on offer for this one race

See above.

Today's Nations race was an interesting one, as a certain Aussie was frustrated on said race.

I qualified 12th after only setting one lap, the polesitter gets a 2:07, and then there is @Alpha Cipher starting in 5th.

Lap 3 and I was pushed wide by FOURce in an Evo inbetween the Degners, then gets overtaken by a Wako's Megane Trophy.

I decided to pit on Lap 4 for tires and fuel after saving fuel, and started to push aggresively on my fresh tires and fuel, which caused me to whack the fuel map back to 2 for the final stages of the race.

Interesting stuff happened on Lap 6, as the battle between Cipher and Flyman ended when the former crashed out in the Pit Entry, and then battled with repli_c with his Miku Citroen, then midway through Cipher went past Rangeraus. At the end of Lap 8 though, Cipher was spun out by a BOSS Megane.

Chaos befell at the end of Lap 9, when said Wako's Megane, driven by Yo-Saka, goes two wide on the 130R with Rangeraus, the latter ended up running wide, then rejoins the track, and gets hit by Cipher, causing the Aussie to be a missile.

Victims include:

Rangeraus (Missile)
@Alpha Cipher
(Missile Launcher)
FOURce (Missile Victim 1)
Yo-Saka (Missile Victim 2)

At the end though, nothing happened to me, and I went through the carnage!
I wish my imagination was as good as yours. My mood could've been better after that race
Can confirm, was less fun than it sounded. :grumpy:
Sorry for launching you, too. I was caught off guard and could've avoided that

I have a 3:54.4 on the leaderboards where I botched the Porsche Curves , and ran Lightnings pace in a practice lobby earlier, but if the Top 24 crashes I guess its all for nothing :(

My fingers are crossed so hard right now :nervous:

Really wish they'd stop using Gardens though, I don't know anyone who likes it? I mean remove the sausage kerbs and I actually would like the track but they are so random with flipping cars that I hate it!
Dont cut the left curb and you will be fine, almost no time lost and no lady luck involved.

Same for PUG. Feels like group 4 got all the decent tracks and group 3 got all the fast tracks again :(! I can't help but feel a lot of things get nullified more if group 4 got the faster tracks and group 3 got the twisty fun tracks. i laughed my ass off watching you complain about the red curbs on the highlights :D

I think they should either give pens if you touched them like it does on the last turn in La Sarthe or remove them.

I'd rather keep them and give pens if you touch.

I love the track but those curbs are terrible indeed.

Just completed today FIA races at Asia. Came home last at manufacturer race. It was my first and last race on this circuit.:yuck: Quali at 13 which was a bit surprised given that only 2 laps practice before the race. I entered the pit with full speed founding that there was a left turn. It resulted me a big crash (poor the bumper) and spin at the pit entrance and 5s penalty. The rest of the race was sight seeing and waved goodbye to the crowd.

Next one was the nation race, I know I am not fast at Suzuka. I just wanted to give it a try. For the 2nd consecutive race day I got a 10s penalty from the incident ahead. This time a trophy lost control and cross the track from right to left. The system considered I t-bone the trophy.:indiff::grumpy: Game over from that point.:ouch: Did I deserve the penalty:confused: Why always me:confused:

You lose lots of time if you don't cut, it's not just in corner speed you lose, your entire straight line speed after which can be a significant mph difference!

I don't mind them in if it's a penalty, but at the moment if track limits stayed the same I'd prefer them out and a good flowing track because as someone mentioned above, sector 2 is pure pleasure as is sector 3 :D. In fact the entire circuit is minus that chicane :(.

I like the sausage kerbs :D

And it's pretty annoying that GT servers are still imploding so close to the final season, possibly more than they ever were. They better fix that soon!

I noticed something on the season 3 calendar

They have a TBD track in both series

Maybe 2 different layouts on the new track?

Edit: It's probably reverse lmao

It's the new track, we'll have to wait until Monday for any layouts.

Calendar up on the website and we now have Grid Starts with false start check in a lot of the Gr3 races and the F1 race at Suzuka (which is on Racing Mediums).

False starts are back? Amazing!

I never even knew false start existed in this game xD! I'm assuming you can't accelerate or is it a case of flicking to 1st gear before green?

Not sure you can even go in neutral for that? Maybe holding the handbrake and realease?

I've not seen it in game before, it's probably being added in 1.22 :)

All rankings for season two are gone on the website. All info is already pointing to Season 3, even the "next race".

EDIT: S2 standing and schedule are back.

There's no false start atm. Hopefully we will have a random system of showing the green lights everytime.

Great that it's only available on some Gr3 and one mark races! GR4 and GR1 are not really fair to have them.

Brands Hatch wouldve been terrible on grid start, great that it isnt. PD making some good decisions here.

Apart from R8 at Monza GR3 grid with false start! Not sure that’s a good decision!

Also notice that some of the races, Monza being one that is not laps it’s 15 minutes instead, or 25 mins for T24
