Also to note there are two rounds in manufacturers next season that the track is TBD? One is GR3 and one is GR4 could suggest more than one track coming?

Could also be more than 1 Catalunya layout, Nations Regional Final specified it was on the 'Grand Prix Layout' and would make sense to have the National one as well as a cheap way of inflating the layout count  (why they haven't put Nurburgring GP/D in still confuses me, would suit N and Gr4 races more than the full GP layout)

Thanks Mate i‘m Fine.
Well I guess it’s too late to bump into me, as i‘ve Made a decision yesterday after the final race.
No more GTS for me.
Yes, that was it. I have spend so much of my life time over the past 12 months playing GTS, met many People and had an amazing time with u Guys here from gtplanet.
Of course i‘ll keep my Racing Stuff in the Cellar, and maybe 1day i‘ll Be back, but for now I’m done with GTS.
I wish you and all of the others good luck, and don’t forget me...

**** man :( Always good sharing the track with you. You are super clean and respectful racer.

Hopefully you will change your mind, or return after a break.

I wish you well mate. Take care n stay safe

Decided to only do nations last night.
Quali was going really well for the first 6 minutes, despite catching someone half way through after leaving what I thought was a huge gap. Fortunately they let me past, which was really appreciated, but I made a small mistake behind them which cost me about half a second. After the 6 minute mark everything went wrong. Crashed at a really silly place (6:20) and got a 5 second penalty (PD should turn off wall collision penalties if heavy damage is on), I was lucky not to get damage. After that I lost the flow of the circuit and missed a load of apexes. I think the lap was on for a sub 8:20 which would have put me p2.

The race was good fun despite being very hard to overtake. Managed to pull off a brave (or stupid) double overtake at the end of the long straight on lap 1 (17:30). Decided not to pit since the beetle has good tyre wear, which was the correct decision since a lot others stayed out so traffic would have been bad. Nothing really happened on the last lap other than letting @force ewerby past since he was on fresh tyres. Happy with P3 since the lobby was fairly strong.

Catalunya has at least 3 different layouts they should add. I'm also surprised they didn't add the short Monza circuit as well

Yeah good point, the most likely outcome. Although can’t remember a series where they have used the same track twice even different layouts, I’m sure someone can prove me wrong on that fact.

DTM started and ended the season with Hockenheim. Same layout both times

A very good clean battle with jara-71. He seems to drive with pad , i was very carefull with my inputs to save some tyres but the porsche ended with more rubber and 4 liters more gas to the pit.
This pit was funny , i wait the last second to enter and he was very surprised because very close and thinking i was going for a non stop race.
Thanks for the race , it was very fun.

When can I change manufacturer?

I have choosen BMW for the first season and I cant chage. Anyone knows?

I've decided it's actually time to put effort into Nations Cup races as a new season begins. Usually I'd do the weekly races but it's time to give it an honest effort

Hello guys. I wonder if the types of steering wheel available in the market make a difference in the game, more specifically in the method of driving the car. I say this because I see the times of the riders that appear to be impossible to do. Not that I'm good, but not bad either.

I have a G29. Does any configuration of it in the game help that?

Considering you can quite often see controller players setting top times then no, input doesn't make much of a difference (T-GT might have a slight advantage over anything else though).

there's a G29 settings thread if you want to compare to see how other drivers prefer their settings.

I haven't gone gt academy style on GT SPORT yet but I think dropping the force feedback as low as you can with out losing all the feel always helps the car turn faster

Can anybody tell when we will have the possibility to change manufacturer?
They haven't mentioned when you can change. My guess would be when the new 2019 season starts judging by the fact that we haven't been able to change for the these 2 seasons. Hopefully I'm wrong

I won’t have time to test every single car, so is anything even remotely competitive with the GT3 for Nations, that doesn’t handle like a dump truck?

As far as i can see, theres no GT3 race in nation. If you mean manufacturer, the Nissan, Beetle and Aston seems pretty fast all-around atm. That being said theres a lot of other car that can be competitive.

He means the 911 GT3 in Nations

Not really. I went from playing on a controller for 7 years, then G25, T300 and finally TGT. The only advantage that TGT has is no loss in power, especially during hot summer days and when the motor overheats like on T300. In fact, I have fatique issues with TGT on gr1 and gr2 cars because force feedback can't be adjusted more precisely. I lose strength in my arms after some time when driving on 3/2 setting.....if I lower the settings anymore then that I lose the feeling.:scared:

Those understeer and oversteer effects that the wheel has in GT mode are quite nice, but in practice it won't make you any faster or more consistent, just gives you more feedback from the road surface, the area where GTS is lacking compared to other sims.

For the Nations tomorrow I think the closest I could get to the 911 GT3 was the F40 and the Lancer Gr.B Road Car (Slow in straight line but easy to drive). You could maybe look at the X-Bow, but I couldn't get a good lap with that thing. 911 GT3 is probably going to be your best bet though, seems a bit OP for N500.
