My nations race was my best performance on the wheel so far. Really good pace and was able to keep my composure when people put pressure on me, even opening a gap on weak draft against very fast drivers, which is really hard to do. It's all coming along.

Manu I made a great qualify but the race was a bit sketchy. I made a lot of mistakes and roadbeef made a great call of doing both stints on hards, worked beautifully for him. Still liked my performance here.

Neither of the races went too well for me last night. Nations I qualified 17th, just couldn't put it together over the whole lap. Other than the first few laps nothing much happened in the race. Manufacturers I qualified 14th, I was doing ok till I got run out of room at T3, was battling all the way through, racing standards probably could've been cleaner but I guess I was too nice.

Last nights Manufacturers race was another step forward on my return to GT Sport. I'm still bottling qualifying, just not relaxed enough to deliver any where near what i'm capable of but that will come in time.

Race pace was decent and managed to make it through with very few mistakes to pick up 5th. I'm still a little too cautious but going up against A+/S level opponents after a few months away is a challenge so i'm working on consistency rather than outright pace right now.

I struggled with the SF-R since I had left my brake balance at +1 by mistake. Still, I was in a position to fight for the win at Nations.

Manufacturer's was shaping up to be a battle royale for the win... until I decided to get my braking all wrong at T1. Thankfully, the leader didn't suffer too much but the penalty sent me into the Shadow Realm. I recovered far far better than expected.

Only able to do the last slot manufacturer race yesterday , disconnected again a few seconds after entering the room. :grumpy:

I really like the N-Class races in Nations Cup. It´s so intense because all drivers really fight for their position and it´s not just train-driving and waiting for a mistake like i Gr.2 or Gr.3 class.
The cars won´t spin because of a small hit and theres more reaction time while fighting so everyone go a higher risk in his actions. :)👍
I had my best result of the season yesterday with 2146 points for a 3rd place in the Top-Lobby of 2nd stint. :D

The Toyota SF-R racing concept really doesn't belong anywhere in the N class, I enlisted for the race in my MX5 without remembering that the small racer was also a option(I don't have one), and had to content myself with a 7th place since the first 5 racers where using the SF-R and the 6th was using the Toyota 86 GRMN.

Yup, and the fact its actually N400 but being used in an N200 kinda sucks too.

It's not usual for me to watch GT videos with no English commentary/ speach but I do enjoy watching yours m8.

You seem to get more than your fair share of bad luck with bumps and penalties but you always just get on with it and as clean as clean can be.

Keep up the good work HZ.

I don't understand why you have to slow down at a specific point with let's say a 0.4sec penalty. Can we just have those 'sectors' for over 2/3 second penalties? Seems totally unnecessary.

I totally agree. Minor penalties (usually due to an accidental shortcut that doesn't actual give you a faster lap) should be added to time at the end of the race and contact penalties still served in the penalty zone/s.

However every penalty being served in the zones looks preferable to all penalties not being served in zones, I'll just have to drive a bit more carefully if I ever get to race some of these races or if they ever make their way to the weeklies, otherwise my minor track cuts are going to cost me quite a bit more than they usually do.

It’s really annoying in N class races that you can tune up or down 400 down to 200 and the opposite. If it’s a n200 race only have n200 cars or n400 only n400, these races are one make enough but it makes all these races the same.

Just a thought, some will disagree:

Given that PD appear to be having a difficult time to balance each car in Group 4, would it be better to just have Group 3/GT3 for the Manufacturer Series and have a quarter of/some Group 4 races in the Nations Cup? The number of A+ drivers competing in Gr4 races seems to be lower.

Others have said this before, Nations should be one make seeing as though the focus there is supposed to be on the driver. One make of whatever, I really don't care as long as its varied.

Manu, yeah, well, no comment but only because I've never really taken part in it as theres only so much time in the day. It would be nice if they put nations and manu on different days.

Whether that will fix the fact that only some many A+ drivers turn up, I doubt it. I think this is a separate problem. I haven't bothered with FIA race this series. Its not because I don't think its the best "random" race matching out there its just that other things have taken priority.

Would prefer them to be separate championships, still sign to one manufacturer for both but that is unlikely. I don’t think participation for GR4 is particularly lower though, just lower in general at the moment due to it only being exhibition seasons.

Personally I really like the manufacture series, the BOP isn’t great but will never be perfect due to different drive trains in GR4 and very short races. But I like the aspect that what you’ve chosen you’ve got to make it work and in a lot of instances that’s what happens. Yes I agree that some cars certainly have a disadvantage at certain tracks and some are definitely better than others but we all have the same choice of manufacturers.

Personnaly and with the way the fia championship is going atm Ill choose a category I want to compete on and then focus on that. Porsche is by far the best all around team atm which isnt that fun.

That being said I want fuel to play a role again in gts. Not sure why they change it. Managing your fuel usage is a modern driver skill too imo.

I prefer nations, especially 1 makes, especially without the need to save fuel. Thanks PD for that.

I’d prefer no tyre wear as well, as either I’m bad at saving tyres or it is much harder on the DS4 to steer less, than with the wheel. I do have a wheel, but haven’t mastered it yet.

Manufacturers series adds in more factors other than driving that changes the result. I prefer pure driving based results personally. This is especially true on fuel and tyre wear differences between the cars. Porsche is way OP in my opinion right now with x 15 tyre wear.

Two time in a row disconnected from manufacturer FIA today , 3 time with the last wednesday race too.
Really annoying .

Had 2 people cutting the chicane...lots of complaints in the chat! Frustrating when you run 2 feet over a kerb and get a .6 penalty, while there's people missing out 2 corners!

That was one of the least enjoyable FIA race days for me.

Nations
Other may disagree, but the X-Bow has no place in FIA races. Not only is a beatch to control round corners (unless you've had the time to dedicate to perfecting it), but half the drivers around me were even worse at it! I kept losing SR rating for being hit. Even in qually, one idiot had a penalty to serve but still overtook me at the final corner, served his penalty and immediately turned into me as I was passing, destroying my final lap! Coming off a penalty (and therefore under the game's control) it was clearly a deliberate act.
In the race, i'd have been better just dropping to the back and going for a clean race bonus instead of losing places and being penalised for it.

Manufacturers

I can't wait to change constructor because the Sirocco is the worst car for acceleration. Even the sound of it struggling to get up to any speed is annoying! Somehow, I managed to qualify 5th, on M tyres. Those tyres didn't even last 3 full laps before starting to go off and I had to come in on lap for H tyres (and those were struggling after 4 laps!). Lap 1, corner 1, some have-a-go-Harry tried to dive past from a distance and hit me, then, later in the race, I tried to avoid a ghosted car which had spun, and just barely went over the line at the uphill chicane - 0.5s penalty, which i had to wait till the next lap to serve even though the penalty zone is right after that chicane.
Final lap, I got tagged but I got the 1s penalty, or more precisely 1.1s, which was crucial as I missed out on 7th place by a fraction under 1.1 s!:banghead: And those two tiny penalties have dropped me to BD now. Looks like I'll be caning it round Le Mans in the Red Bull X2014 to get back up again.

Did I say I can't wait to get out of my VW contract?:irked:

Well, the manufacturers race today in the alfa romeo was prerty good. I ended up with a 4th place finish ten seconds behind the winner, after qualifying in the same spot despite being a second slower than the pole time. At least i did not get any penalties this time around unlike at monza. And i decided not to participate in the previous round at red bull ring to give my mind a brief break. Furthermore, i am officially over 2000 points for this season, and got a big dr points boost to boot.

Not my day. Nations I couldnt make one decent lap in qualy, started 17th. Lap 1 was already a couple of places up, then got pushed into another guy that went a little bit wide and the game gave me 5s pen. Then in the second to last corner i get completely taken out and drop back to last miles away behind. Pace was decent tho, at least I had that

Manufacturers promised a better race with 4th in the grid, but I made a mistake and spun, dropping well down the order. I somehow had in my head that the race would be 9 laps long so I stopped on lap 4 to do the undercut, but when I looked up I saw it was actually 10 laps long, so I couldnt be bothered to do 6 laps on the same set of tyres with the Vantage and quit the race. I think this was the first time I've ever quit a race in GTS lol.

Here is my Manu race.

Was in decent lobby with a few of the fastest Americans around.

My pace was not very good here with the Vette, but it was enough to hold back a strong attack by @RoadBeef. Unfortunately for him, he made a bad pit strategy call and gave me an easy last 3 laps.

DodgeLamb was waaay to fast.

Also, video ends a bit short due to internet issues. So yea, sorry bout that.

Only had time to do the manufacturers race last night, and knew I was going to struggle with tyre wear. Catalunya seems to be quite tough on tyres, and with the differences in wear rate between the cars it is almost impossible for the poor pug.

Qualified in 3rd, and as expected had decent pace for 2 laps, bad pace for 2 laps, and then awful pace for the last lap of the stints. Not much I can do apart from a bit of defensive driving, and slowly slipped back down the field. Ended up in 6th, and with only 1 car on RH tyres ahead of me. Hopefully they will rebalance the tyre wear a bit after this championship as RM tyres barely lasted 2 laps for me.

Quite liked this move on me, nicely executed.

Terrible races for me yesterday. I'm really only making this post to apologize to the people whose races I ruined.

Nations, I never should have done. I'm trash with the X-Bow and most N-class cars, but to put it simply, I just wanted to race and the dailies weren't doing it for me.

Qualified low in a top lobby, 15th I think. First lap on the way through the uphill esses, it was crowded, KingBestJr was to my right, OldSmooth was to my left. KingBest turns in towards me and I thought he was going to hit me (he probably wasn't) so I steered left a tiny bit to give him room but I clipped the right rear of OldSmooth....who I thought had passed me and was clear at that point, but I was wrong. Every minor contact is exaggerated in these cars, so if it had been Gr.4/Gr.3, nothing would have happened, but I bounced off OldSmooth then bounced off KingBest then back to OldSmooth again and we all went up in a ball of flames. 10s penalty for knocking both those guys off track...deserved. Sorry fellas, I can't apologize enough, it was a lapse in judgment on my part and I wish I could take it back. I made up some positions here and there before the end, but ended up crashing again on my own, so I think I finished 15th where I started....can't remember for sure, I wanna forget that one.

MFG wasn't nearly as bad, but I didn't perform well. Just didn't qualify well and couldn't find the pace, also had a weak tire strategy I think. Didn't ruin anyone's race though, so on a day like yesterday that's all I can ask for I guess. Qualified 12th, right behind @Dezcom. It seems like we almost always have a similar pace so it's great to race with him and test my skill. I passed him early because we were on different tire strategies, and I eventually made it up to 9th but one mistake going wide at T3 and 3 people pass me all at once.....back to 12th, then it was a battle for 11th with Dez and the only way I beat him while he was on mediums was due to a last lap mistake he made that resulted in a penalty, so 11th place it was. Not a good race overall, but had a good time battling with Dez both in the race and in practice lobbies before hand.

See you guys again on Wednesday and Saturday. I'm much much better at Gr.2 and above, so the next 2 rounds of Nations should be better for me. Looking at the upcoming combos for MFG, I'm not too impressed, so I might be done with those, not sure yet.

Track cutting again without penalty at Barcelona final chicane, witnessed on the current nations cup Top 10 leaderboard replay (Eu region). Can this be patched / bug fixed by the time of the Fia races on Wednesday?

After 3 disconnects and 0 races of my limited time available for GT Sport I have lost 2000 points.

It took me a month to gain those points

Surely I shouldn’t lose Sr and DR if I didn’t even turn a wheel?
