Pffft, casuals XDThey have traction control, too.

Well that's another problem, if you're no stopping and you qualify well, then you are at the mercy of the stoppers in the first 2 laps, it makes sense to no stop if you have a bad qually, I understand people want pit stops, and that's fine, and as has been suggested numerous times, just start us on 50% fuel.
Obviously not "traction control" as it exists in GT sport. If so the races would be wayyy differentThey have traction control, too.

I wouldn't call GTs TC "terrible", necessarily. It feels like it works correctly for stuff like the SF Dallara and Merc F1. That said I can't claim a great technical knowledge of GT racing, this is my first year watching GT racing and only sporadically at that.Correct, it's nothing like GT Sport's terrible implementation of TC. It's quite advanced and doesn't slow the cars down like the rudimentary implementation in GTS. GT3 drivers set the TC level as part of the setup of the car for each track and sometimes adjust it on the fly during qualy and/or the race.
Assetto Corsa does a much better job of replicating the functionality of assists allowed in real GT racing.
The issue is not that the tyre wear multiplier is high, it’s that there isn’t a similar pit stop multiplier. If a pit stop took 1 sec instead of 17, you would put instead of trying to squeeze a few more rounds out of worn down tyres.
God help you, sir. GT by Citroen gives me waking fever dreams...Anyone using Citroen for their Manu?

Driving without TC is not feasible from a competitive standpoint. The torque steer is too much. Max TC made sense at RBR given all the time is gained with strong exits. TC 3 feels like a good balance at Brands along with gentle braking.Looks like you handled it pretty well tbh, nice drivingI did the mighty pug in the exhibition season late last year, and it was tough work even at a lower level.
One thought, what TC are you running? You might want to do a race test with TC on 5 and then TC on 2 and TC on 0. Might be that having the TC set to a crazy level might work for race pace.
Obviously this strategy might not work at the upcoming tracks as they all have high speed corners, but might be worth a look.
I was thinking mediums on fronts were going to work at RBR but for me, the finishing time was a lot worse than pitting and attacking on softs. And by attacking, I mean driving around 80-85% because any more and the fronts will melt.
There was a part of me that chose Pug to be the guinea pig, the one fast guy silly enough to choose a car that has potential if not for its crippling flaw; tire wear. RBR should've been a track I could've won at. I even score the one in a million pole in top split. Alas, PD's decision to jack up the wear rates relegates me to scrap for points while just about everyone else has no stop as a viable option. How could anyone look at this and say, "This is ok?"
Looks like fun. I might get sucked in, as I'm watching GT4 qualifying at Thailand.
I have noticed this, maybe everyone got sick of listening to the Porsche Cayman - sounds like a tumble dryer full of metal coat hangers. I have no idea how others are getting in the Top 10 with the SLS though, to me it's like power boating in a bathtub - there's just nowhere to goLooks like fun. So many GT4 AMGs in this series(only 6 cars).![]()
The SLS is pretty much an MR(FMR) with its handling characteristics. Very composed without the MR characteristic of sliding on corner entry. Has high mid-corner speeds. One of my favorites.I have noticed this, maybe everyone got sick of listening to the Porsche Cayman - sounds like a tumble dryer full of metal coat hangers. I'm just going to run on RH tyres and see where this goes. Not going to make sense fighting mid-pack or at the back to see who can gather the most penalties during Lap 1.
Qualy done. I ran 6 laps on RH, Full fuel lasted 1.6 Laps left at the finish. Less than half worn front tyres. Starting 19th with a 1:32.911, 2.2 seconds from Pole.
M4, you are Superb!

The TT behind me, started last. It followed me all first stint and passed me before it pit.
I ran to lap 8, on RH, just over half worn fronts. 0.7 laps of fuel. No short shifting.
Exited pits in 14th. Quickly overtook 13th at T1. Didn't look at my lap times, just concentrated on not going off. One car pitted on lap 9 with 7% left in tank, which handed me 11th. Cars were going off at T1 and losing grip across the last lap. Grabbed 9th from the TT at the final left-hander.
Other than the 86 that ran me off the road onto the grass, giving me an orange arrow, the race was good. Look forward to watching the replay. Happy with my choice.

Yeah, I believe I had a run in with that same player, at the last FIA race at RBR.I had pole for the race on my second account. A selfish rejoin by a yellow
Merc ruined the race as he caused a chain reaction. I’m watching the replay now. He’s gone off 6 times in 5 laps. Just pull over and park it already.
Had my last qualifying lap (and legitimate chance of pole) at Brands ruined by someone who slowed down and weaved into Turn 1 right in front of me. They said it was 'casual driving' time as their hot lap was done with 30 seconds to go.
