Question
Is there a list that tell you the time difference between each tyre compounds?
Per track?
By x1 wear value? Would be difficult, as each event varies the multiplier.
See? Another reason I hope track surface replaces multipliers.

No,
I mean like in F1 you know the time per lap in sec.
For example.
S is 1.5 sec quicker then M
M is 1 sec quicker than H
H is 2 sec slower than S

That type of information

Depends on the car and the track I think. Also the track conditions, assuming that's a thing in GT Sport.

For some reason I can't find the speed at Bathurst in the Aston on Softs. Can get a 2:11.5xx on them (online physics) but I've also been able to do that on the Mediums. Definitely going to have to turn some more laps before Sunday and figure it out.

, defending is a good option in the final laps not in the middle of the race when the pace is set.
You might be on a different strategy and racing them at the end though, if they just let you through it could cost them in the long run. Part of pitting early - especially if trying an undercut - is the risk of coming out in traffic and dealing with it is part of racing, you should never expect them to jump out of the way at any time in the race if it's for position. Sometimes they'll let you past if they feel you're not in the same race or that fighting is costing too much time but you should treat that as the exception rather than the rule.

We don't have the luxury of race engineers (or information stating a driver's fuel and tyres) so if you emerge in traffic then there's work to do and if they're fighting hard and holding you up it's up to you to get past, not them to make it easy for you just because you're considerably faster

*I may well be a horrible fly in the ointment for someone in Nations this week!

30+ Gr.3 cars and these two are the only real GT3 cars up to current real world specs.

There are Evo AMG GT3/Huracan/NSX/GT-RR8, but brand new 720S, 488, 911. Hope we see more up to date real GT3 cars.

Last weeks Nations race at Laguna was an adventure. Started 4th, forgot traction control off the line and got swamped in turn one, exited turn three with dents in my car and got assulted in The Corkscrew and found myself 18th after 3/4's of lap 1.
People seemed to get track limit penalties but were free to smash into each other. Once out of the melee it was quite a nice combo.

I can't remember, but was there a listing for what the races were going to be featured in the next GT World Tour event in Australia?

They've not been publicly announced yet, and will be on the GT Live page when they do.

Competitors who have been invited might have the details so maybe we'll see a leak, otherwise we'll just have to wait.

Ah, I see. I thought I had seen it, and what I thought I saw was a lack of any indicators of new content, such as a TBA listing for courses. I'd imagine that there'd be something to showcase at the next GT World Tour event, given that an update would likely be available not long afterwards.

That is typically how it goes. :)

Back with BMW for these last few races.

Still wanting the immersion of having current real world cars to use. The BMWs are the closest one can get to having a current real world GT3/GT4 pair. Especially with both cars in this weekend's B12H.

Just tried a no-stop all 10 laps on the medium tire at Bathurst and was about 5 seconds slower overall than running both tires with 1 stop. Maybe the lighter cars can make it work but definitely not the heavier ones. My pace on both tires is pretty similar, hoping that doesn't turn into a bad thing come raceday.

Find yourself some space even in this big behind track. I was one of the last to leave. Qualy on RH, but still caught up to a car way ahead(the RC F in 8th, now 9th). Tried to stay out of its tow and slowing my acceleration. Still, holding me up(not intentionally). Had way more pace in the M6. Starting 7th. Let's see how we go.

Edit: Finished 7th.

Tried to start off slow following a conserving Atenza. A Vantage decides to barge through the cars behind me into T1, spins me a couple kilometers before the big karussel. Just no patience. It wasn't going to win the race. It pits lap 1. I come out in front of it.

3/4s of the second lap. it does its barging thing again. Me and a few others pit. I switch to RMs and overfill, to run Fuel 1 til the end. I'm behind a wounded Supra(0.5 second penalty). It eventually goes off track. Setting my sights on catching and setting up that same Vantage ahead, I almost get punted by a Beetle behind me.

I make sure to stay behind the Vantage until we near the castle on the right. I get in the tow and get slightly ahead. As we near the Bilstein underpass, Vantage wants to try and go two-wide squeezing me more to the left when I'm already as far over as possible. Bump that! Off you go! Vantage tastes the right side grass and wall.

I'm waiting for comments at the end. Nothing is typed. I save the replay and leave. Be safe out there.

Absolute nightmare of a race. I’ll save the full write up for tomorrow, but word of warning to those who are racing later, the penalty system is as bad as it’s ever been.

In short, there is a collision penalty for hitting another car. Now picture T1 and T2 at the Nürburgring. And the hairpin. And the chicane. And the entrance to the Nordschliefe. In my race, almost every single car on a grid of 17 was penalised. I’d recommend starting from the rear and let everyone else crash out.

I wasn't conserving. I was on RH and the Atenza is one of the slowest Gr.3 cars in a straightline  In fact I don't know how I managed to qualify that high up and not fall back in the full throttle sections lol.

My totally-not-serious strategy for the race:
Only practiced for 2 laps on RM to test wear 30 mins before the race
Quali RH - also testing wear of RH (laptime is a bit slower on 1st lap but feels better to drive on 2nd lap and laptime dropoff isn't that much), so decided to go on RH for first stint
Race - RH 2 laps, fuel saving if I get blocked by the car in front, otherwise try to desperately stay in the draft of faster cars. Pit for RM and fill up to just under 50% fuel, came out 3rd and stayed that way the rest of the race (nice 10 second cushion in front and behind lol).

Initially I was going to use the Beetle because it's good on tires (potentially can run whole race on RH and only stop for fuel), but seeing GTP's article on Mazda's 100th Anniversary decided to use the Atenza instead (and searched for appropriate livery - link below). Turns out the Mazda is one of the better cars on fuel and tyre is not too bad. So everything worked out in the end :) Prolly helps that I escaped the top split as well this time

Oh shoot! :lol::cheers:

Fast room for my second race. Qualified again on RH. 14/20. Moved up to 12/20 by T1. 11/20 due to a car serving penalty.

Let an AMG go by at entrance to the Nord and then a Beetle thru, so I can run my own pace. 13/20

Second lap, things start getting a bit messy. Few cars go off, I'm trying to tip toe and a car re-entering the track taps me. Lose a few spots to cars that pitted earlier. Run behind an Atenza for the rest of the lap. Switch to RM, overfill again. 3-way battle for 9th, between a Supra, Atenza and Me. Atenza and Supra swap positions all the way to the the final straight.
I'm on the rear bumper of the Supra as we draw in the Atenza up ahead. We catch it before the Bilstein underpass, but the Supra makes the pass and I hold station behind the Atenza. We finish within a couple tenths of one another.

That's it for that event. Nothing else to accomplish.

On to the GR.1 race at Tokyo. I'll use the 787B for that.

The Atenza Gr.3 definitely isn’t one of the slowest cars, it’s in the top 50% for straight line speed for sure. It’s always been one of the more balanced FR cars. It’s slower than the speed cars, faster than the handling cars. You were just probably around the exact cars that were faster than it. I’ve definitely never struggle for speed with it, but I also am used to the WRX which it is MUCH faster than.

Now the Gr.4 is absolutely at the bottom of the straight line speed rankings, only above the Mitsubishi.

The next race will be interesting. I keep getting pinged at the exit of the docks.
Started with the 787B, C9, R92C, 962C, XJR-9. Was surprised to see the Jag just pull my C9 ghost, midway through 4th gear into 5th. Weapon on the straights. And that's not just because it's a Group C car. Thought it was slower than the Nissan and Sauber.

How's the racing going in EMEA?
Just home from work & will be firing up the PlayStation in an hour or so. Hoping the cull of undeserving SR S has started to take effect.

Glad that's over.
Did 1 race & not going to do another.
I messed up Q trying to miss slower cars & ended off the track.
Still got P10 , could not get close to my practice time 8.36
pole lap time was 8.58 mine was 10.11 I was expecting to get within 8.40 -9.20.(9.20 was my 1st practice try & I keep going off track)
Race start 1st corner I just stopped in time so I didn't hit the car Infront. I got hit into last week race , from they it was a stressful race people who slower than you pushing you off or I would make a mistake because I caught them to quickly.
1 English driver keep pushing everyone off because it was slower, after a few hits from it through the whole race not just 1 lap, I had enough & push it straight into a wall & took my penalty happily.
This race was real stressful I will take 14 place and walk away not going back to get into the top ten is not worth the stress.

Did a 1 stop

Just did Nations race one. Full lobby of 20 D/S.
Warm up - barging & punting.
Qualifying starts. I’m a noob to this and never in my wildest did I imagine that we would be doing a full lap. Just call me “Mr.Naive”.
Anyway, I’m in my R.S. and I’m halfway around the GP track and I’m unceremoniously “walled” by an R8. Ah well, I think, and hit the reset to get back to the pits and clear track.
Leave pits for the second time and proceed to give it my best shot to get around this monster.
By the end of our warm up lap I’m needing fuel it seems. I head into the pits for both fuel and tyres.

I exit the pit with just over 2 minutes of the allotted 13 still on the clock and I’m greeted by .....

FINISHED

What?

The quali screen pops up with the 16 folks remaining all showing as running.

I’m on auto-drive for 11 minutes and 50 seconds.......

Weirdly, even though I haven’t turned a wheel in anger I’m showing 13th of the 16, with no time. Two minutes later, I’m up to 11th and still no times are listed. Considering using auto-drive for all my qualifying.

In the end I slide back down to 13th.

Grid order appears. One person has set a time....8:58. They are on pole and I am ...... third!

Rest of the race uneventful, apart from getting lost, being persistently punted/walled ( 4 times ) by the same driver and bouncing down the walls of this largely unfamiliar to me monstrosity. At one point, my car was so broken it wouldn’t get above 60 and I was passed by a local on a bicycle on a downhill section.

I left, still laughing, humbled and non the wiser how to get round. I may try again later .......then again, maybe practice Bathurst.

Went into the day thinking that I'd skip today's race as I don't like the Nordschleife and would probably be too slow (I'm bad at saving fuel too)

Well, I did anyway.

Got in a lobby full of A+/S and S/S as car #18 (winner got 290 something points).

Qualified P15 so not too shabby. In the first lap I got two penalties that's were rectified (first one I don't remember, second one I missed my braking point a bit and had to go to the inside hoping the other guy would see me and don't go into the corner, however he didn't see me so I pushed him off. Don't remember the name but he was Austrian - sorry!!) Overall 6 seconds. After serving that one I believe I was P19. After that it was damage limitation as I was too slow, so only finished P17 I believe. 89 points. Lost 900 DR but surprisingly stayed at 99 SR. Don't know if I'll go again. But if only with more practice.
