the people who fuel burn and get in the way of people lapping should die in a fire.
QT is a 1:23 because someone got in my way heading up to the corkscrew

I should have qualified in the top 2-3.

the guy who got in my way did a plus 1:30 lap. Jfc.
Edit:
Long story short: Qualified 5th and finished 10th. Highest point total of the season for me.

Longer story:

My room was a mixture of S/S to D/S. I wish they’d just not fill the room. I got punted hard at hairpin on L2...all the way to the wall. I was in 15-16th when I got back out, and it took 3 really rough laps to get by a couple of the guys. I would pass them cleanly, and get punted at the next corner. Once I cleared them, I ran my 1:23-1:24s on softs ran 1:24-:25s in the mediums with a one stop.

I’m going to give the next slot a go.

I’m on a controller & the Hurracan at Laguna was extremely slippery. Anyone else experiencing this?

So Season 3 comes to a close. This series I raced all the races and it was the best one so far but I was not high in the B rank to really harvest some serious points.
Result: 2 wins, 1 pole, 6 top 5 finishes - 595 points
The race at Laguna Seca started with a disaster qualifying, with simply no room to make any time, so I started from last place.... BUT it turned into a great race and exceeded my expectations despite a spin and a mistake on old tires..
Below is the Race Edit with my commentary. Enjoy.

After not getting into the Top 16 race I decided to do one more anyways just for fun. Only qualified 13th in this one with a 21.7, the big boy rooms are tough! It ended up being the best race of the night though, I got to have a great battle for 11th with @Herimopp89 in the 2nd half of the race that was back and forth for what seemed like forever at the time. Great driving man!

After 3 attempts tonight I still didn’t manage to better my score, I did at least gain 1k DR in the process of trying. :)

Damn I didn't know that was you that was a great battle

Here is the battle I had at my 2nd attempt with @MikeGrove

All I know is I drove my ass off that race for 4th

My 2nd race was more fun, anyways. I was too aggressive this time on the second lap and got a wheel off piste in a stupid place and spun. I was in P4 at the time and came back on in P13. Battles back through and had a good fight between a few people P5-P10. We swapped back and forth through pit stops and the like. I forgot I was on worn mediums and overshot the corkscrew on lap 14. I think the guys around me went M then S for tires...too tired to go again.

Season total is 258. I’ll take it considering I got my wheel as the season started and spent most of it at DR C. I think 300 points is a good goal for the next season.

Neither Top 16 went well on my end. Nations ended up being elbowed out the way, penalized for reasons I still don't know and being spun out... and penalized on top of it.

Manu was a massive struggle. Zero pace, kept binning it in practice races and just not getting along with the GT. Pretty sure I'm not touching Ford for the regular season.

Was hoping to finish the season on a high as I felt okay with Laguna Seca. Qualified with an okayish 9th and was having a strong race, keeping out of trouble. The soft tyres were holding up well and was seeing if stretching them to lap 8 was possible, and felt it was. However at the end of lap 7 I go wide on the last right hander just before the pit entrance, so rather than try and wrestle the car back on track just point it at the pit entry and change to the mediums. At the end of the outlap I'm behind a 3 wide battle down the start finish straight. You can scroll back a couple of pages if you're interested in how a car being spun out and bumping me as they go cost me a 10 SECOND penalty. So my season was actually book ended with ridiculous penalties that cost me points, both here and at Suzuka.

It was an oddly spread out race though as it only really cost me two positions, but did mean not getting over 200 points in my last race.

Ah well. I've really enjoyed Alfa Romeo but may not stick with them. Thinking either Aston Martin or Jaguar, but there are rumours abound of a BoP update coming so will hold off until we know all the details of that.

The season result meant 999 points and 9th for Alfa, so I kept the S Rank. I'll happily celebrate that

Whatd you think of Alfa? The Gr.3 car doesn't seem to have the tail happy shenanigans that plague some of the other mid-engine cars.

Actually really enjoyed racing both the gr.3 and gr.4 4C's. You do forget that the gr.3 is MR as it doesn't have the same "I'm gonna crash" feel that other MR's in that class have. The only time it became any kind of an issue was actually at the Laguna Seca race where at the end of each stint when tyres were worn the corkscrew would become fairly sketchy. I'm a tad embarrassed to admit that I countered this with TC1:O which made a massive difference to tyre wear and just keeping the car stable.

Both cars are really good fun as you can really throw them around corners. On real handling tracks they're as overpowered as Toyota, but on true power tracks all you can do is hang on to a slipstream train and hope to not fall off the back.

I highly recommend them for the fun factor so long as you can get past the fact that they severely lack straight line speed.

I should add they are also superb on tyre wear and fuel consumption, which makes them look promising considering........

Well looks like pre season is full of tyre wear again

Has anyone ever contacted PD and said "Yeah we really enjoy the super high multipliers. Give us more of those."

Happy with this. Though Aston for some reason wasn't very popular this season so I'm sure my ranking would have been lower giving the alternative. Not sure who I'll go with for the preseason but I'll likely only do the Gr4 events anyway. I seem to keep getting put into the big boy rooms where I have zero chance of victory and it's kind of discouraging.

try the McLaren then talk to me about slippery.... was like bambi on ice after 2 laps

Is the full schedule out now?

It is -- I can only find the multipliers for the first race, but maybe he can post a link to where he saw them. The GT Sport website is nearly as bad as the penalty system, haha. (And it's worse than the penalty system on a mobile browser, haha...I can't get my region to pop up to look at the rankings).

Mandatory mediums interestingly even though all 3 compounds available. We also have x15 at RBR again
It's 22x at RBR :lol:, but on Comfort Softs. I'm wondering if tire wear will even matter in this race with those tires.

I guess the game just registers that you were the last car to hit it before it went for a complete spin, so you get the penalty for spinning it, even though it had already started spinning before that. It's been like that even before PD screwed up the penalty system several updates ago. Only difference now is that you can punt someone miles off the track and get away with murder, whereas before you'd stand a good chance of getting penalized. Also if someone divebombs you and spins themselves in the process, you're GUARANTEED to get a penalty for it.

I don't really understand how it determines penalty times though. The most I've ever gotten was 4s for contacting someone while they were spinning.

 I can second this, tried Macca for the first time this season and the Gr3 car is just a joke. The rear tires die even with -5 BB in 3-4 laps of Laguna Seca

Do a daily race or two and quit out. That should tank your DR enough to stay in the 2nd splits.

Booted up GT Sport a few moments ago and was delighted to find the MX-5 Nations combo. Was ready to do some practice laps until I found that I was unable to select my car from the Garage. Changed tyres and made a fresh FIA settings sheet, but to no avail.

Turns out there is a slight problem with the entry details:

Even with Level 3 tuning, this is as heavy as the MX-5 can get:

Looks like there's been a slip-up somewhere...

A very fun season with Renault. Those cars RS01 and megane trophy are both excelents MR with amazing driving sensations.
I've lost some DR sometimes on high speed tracks but they are very performant cars overall.
Thinking about Subaru for the next season.
