Just had an enjoyable Race C. Going to ruin the vibe, by joining the Manu race like I said I wouldn't.

Going to try my GR.4 strategy: stay out of trouble.
Yeah, my basic strategy is keep it steady but quick, and stay on track. That pretty much covers it. Don't think it will be a good move to push to do too much else since that will often end up with you off track.

I’m glad you all got to experience the pleasure of high speed and pain of tire wear that I face with the TT every week in the manufacturers series. Now experience the R8 that has none of the speed and all of the handling issues.

It worked well when I was in A/S lobbies. It was pretty much a guaranteed pole and I could pull away in the first few laps before tires dropped off. Now in A+/S, the pace has increased to the point where I’m lucky if I even start in the top 5. However, it is nice to have that special feeling when I’m the only FF car in the lobby about 95% of the time. Everyone just thinks I’m insane though.

And this is my first week with the PS4 Pro and bigger, 4K TV setup.
Last year when I changed my tv from 32" to 55" I got to get used to it, track seemed to be soooo wide:lol: Main problem was that I stick to the center of track not using full widht of it, I needed couple of days to learn:lol:
Yesterdays Nations... Q 16th in Lexus, finished 16th, there was 2 GTR, one Viper, 3 or 4 TTs and rest RCZ... One attempt and thats enough for me... I decided that I wont participate in any Nations gr4 combos until PD fix this stupidly fast RCZ(by fixing I mean erase it from the game completly)

Thanks for the jinx... and I just read this after the race.

Offed myself. Ran the RS and was making up positions. Kind players letting me pass.
I'm catching up to 3,4,5 & 6 places. Round the final corner, I focused on the white line in the middle of the track. I went to the left of it missing my braking pojnt. "Bye, Feliciaaaa."

Pit straight away to get off those tyres. That was lap 7 or 8. Just like from the start, I ran as hard as I could. Picked up a spot. Late in the race, cars pitted. Made up a couple more spots.
Got up to Adokeefe exiting the pits. I think he had RS. All I could do is stay behind. RS didn't look to come up to temps yet, but I maintained position. No risk.
Last lap, coming around the bend for the final corner. I'm a whisker from his bumper. Back way off. Unfortunately, same thing that happened to me.

That Atenza started behind me and pit late. If I didn't go off, possible top 5 result. Oh well.

A bit of agro(See? I know the Aussie lingo.) post race.

No jinx intended, but after pretty much camping in Big Willow whenever it comes around I know as much as anyone just how much that track can bite, even when you know you are 100 pct going to be fine. That last turn is like Sheene at Brands. The line is perfect and you are fine until all of a sudden you aren't and you have no way to fix it. Looking forward to a long and stressful set of laps.

And for anyone else I have found that somehow just keeping a dab of throttle feathered in seems to help that last touch of turn in on the final corner. But please test that for yourself. Last time I thought I had it figured out I spent 3 of my 5 laps flying towards the pits waaaaay off track after missing that thing.:nervous:

Soo, I did one nations slot yesterday, and even though I was one of the few without any penalties at the end, it was still throughly awful race so I left it at that. Today I noticed that my SR has gone from 99 to 75?! How on earth does that work?
Oh PD, PD..

Soooooo a report from Big Willow. Track, great and fun. Other drivers, not. Qualify p17 of 19. Just slow compared to my practice, but oh well. Plugged on the mediums. 1 person off at turn 1, 1 at turn 2. The Jag in front of takes out 2 more on the sharp uphill left and gets a penalty. (this is important later) and all of a sudden I am slicing up through the field. 1 more off at final turn and 1 into the pits. Lap clean for a bit and start getting passed by faster people who have put on softs so I pit lap 7.

Ugly but drop from p8 to p15. Catching fast though. Manage to get to p11, looking to pass for p10. Guy in front is the killer jag from earlier and he is sliding all over, but I just can't get by. He slides a wide line on the uphill left so I go inside hoping to either hold him for the downhill part or get ahead then. Nope. He launches into side as I am on the edge of the track and puts off. He gets 1 sec, I drop to p14. I pass to catch up, on him and make a good pass coming out of the final turn on lap 14, drag him down the straight with a better exit and stay ahead, now p10. I slide a touch at the crest so he catches up, brake for that left . . And get punted so hard I end up resetting in an FIA race! Instead of p10 or p11, p16. Set a new record for worst points for the season. (Corrected, it was second worst)

Afterwards I was just blasting him rudely, but not calling names or insults, just calling him dirty, a sore loser and a jerk. He complains that he got a penalty for hitting me off the first time!:ouch: Well yeah, even if accidental it was still a penalty move, just like punting 2 people off lap 1. Sad thing is there were multiple people calling him out for this stuff after the race. And he is trouncing me in the Manu standings. I really really really want another shot at it, but I have to be up at 4:30 for work and the next slot is 10pm. 🤬🤬🤬 ruined what had been one of my better races, and I already know he does all the slots unless.he gets the points he wants early. Waste of an hour. The only mistake I made that was anything other than a slight slide was trying to pass him early. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::yuck::yuck:

I am actually going to have to cool down to get to sleep. No way I can race again with the stress of that track. And still get to sleep in time. 100+ points dropped away to 52:guilty:

Hope you all have better luck, and may his karma bite him back, hard.

EDIT: and in the name of fairness here are the incidents. After reviewing them the one where I got knocked off mid race was more a racing incident. I wasn't smart to be there, he slid on the sand. However, let me note that even if I did believe it was dirty like I did at the time I still never retaliated and worked hard to catch him again and pass him clean. His rage was for getting a penalty for rear ending me on that cresting turn as I run a tight line there and apparently he wanted a wide line. Still ruined my race. He also still finished p13.

Really regretting my choice of Manufacturer at this point, I have no pace in the 4C Gr3 and the 4C Gr4 is worse at the moment.

40 point slot, qualified P13 and finished P16. Would have finished P11 at best were it not for mistakes and incidents.

Ended up doing slot 3 (worth obsolete points), qualified P7 and finished P4. Was the best I could do, but was 24 seconds slower than the winning time from slot 2, so nothing to write home about.

How are the tyres holding up, looks like they should be ok with 2x wear? Iv got one slot left I can have a jab at so want to make th most if it! About to run a quick practice race now
If you aren't too bad on them then people are getting 14laps on softs. Sketchy at the end though. I started on mediums because I was in the back and while I was slow, around lap 6 I started catching some of the softs drivers back, but they had built a bigger lead than I could have caught up. Just run till they get sloppy. Some people were no stopping mediums in race but they weren't going very well.

Yeah im thinking I'll do mediums then softs, hards to mediums worked well in nations yesterday, while everyone was losing grip I had plenty.

Good luck everyone who hasn't raced yet

The first and last incidents on your video are the reason why there needs to be a proper report function so that you can send clips to Polyphony showing blatant ramming. They should give them a week ban or something. I suspect they’d be overloaded though.

Sorry you had to deal with that in an FIA race, mate! I had my Nations Cup race at Suzuka ruined the other week. It hurts so much more than in a daily race.

What a dick! Hope you have reported him? maybe if you and others report him then it has a concequence?
Maybe we should all start reporting the rammers, maybe that will inspire PD to take some action?

Had an absolutely horrendous quali yesterday, did not get the chicane of death right even once. I also felt I drove pretty poorly in the race making too many mistakes and I thought I'd be lower than where I actually ended up. Though still not a great result but could've been worse I guess

Thats a good idea! Lets show strenght of community. I think there is option on GTS site where you can find players profile and report him, even if you werent racing with him. When there is clear proof(replay) of ramming pushing blocking etc on purpouse we can do something:) Maybe PD will see the problem, when some 🤬 got 50 reports from all regions?

Since last weekend I started reporting dirty drivers. And I do not mean someone who hit me a bit in an overtake or simply made a mistake. I mean the drivers who are clearly driving dirty. till recently i never commented or reported dirty drivers but I am so fed up with them trying (and succeeding) to ruin everyone elses race just to gain a position.

At st Croix I did my first report; a German fellow who made a mistake in the last lap and when i went past him on the straight he ran me off at the next corner despite me giving him plenty of room. reply showed he clearly steered into me. To make things worse he also got a 1 minute penalty for not compying with the tyre regulations so his dirty driving was in vain but my race was ruined as i lost six positions!

Racing Willow Spring soon ans if there are rammers I will report them. Hope a lot more drivers will do the same and maybe that sends a message to PD. Anyway, it is better then doing nothing and complain?

Oof! Had a rough Nations last night! Glad a lot of you guys faired better lol!

First Race - Toyota 86

Qualified 17th I believe ack!
Got slaughtered on straights lol
Felt really good though because for several laps I was able to stay in slip stream JUST enough to come out of every corner in the battle.
Lap 4 someone tries to overtake me going into the chicane... I let him go... he crashes.. I avoid him... slowing down to let him by/avoid crash, makes the car behind me think it’s a good idea to pass me in the chicane.... this turns the rest of my race into a 9 lap practice.... 8(. finished 19th....

Race 2 - Dodge Viper
Qualify 9th yay
Hold position for awhile, but fall victim again, bumped to 16th
Highlight of the night.- Awesome 5 lap race in a tight pack of 4 cars! Good clean racing!
Lost it in the chicane by my own doing this time... and finish 19th again.

So finished last twice... Slower cars, taken out a lot, and a few spins on my part from frustration.

Now I’m in a pattern (according to my DR graph) that’s pretty disheartening.

A week of hard racing gets me to 23k DR, then I’m a little outta my league, and it nose dives lol

Really bummed right now... so much that I took the RCZ to Laguna last night just to get a good spot. Which goes against everything I believe in!

goodluck guys! Sorry for the sob story :/

What's the strategy for Willow? 14S/1M? I can't afford to lose anymore DR. 60k down to 53k.

I keep getting put into top splits with the likes of guys like Outlaw and roadbeef and I'm not used to racing with those guys too fast for me. The two qualifying strategies I talked about before doesn't work with these guys you absolutely need the slipstream and I'm not comfortable yet doing that consistently. Don't want to be the guy who screws up one of those top guys races since they are clearly fighting for #1 spot in the standings meanwhile I'm fighting for #250, lol! I've been holding back quite a bit just trying not to step on any toes tuff situation I've gotten myself into.

Serious question, does reporting a player even do anything? I a;ways report rammers and dirty drivers, but then I see them in other races/their KudoPrime stats show they're still playing and ruining other peoples' races.

Hope a lot more drivers will do the same and maybe that sends a message to PD. Anyway, it is better then doing nothing and complain?

Even if reporting doesn't do anything I agree. I just wish it seemed like there were actual consequences.

I don't think reporting does anything at all. Just makes people feel better.

Is there like an ultimate thread where you can call people out on here? That'd do more good then reporting folks.

No. Naming and shaming is against the rules. You can link a video with names in, because it's not google-able.
The reporting in game is to me like a release and move on act.

One report probably not doing anything, 50 100 may do something.... We all can check this out. Take nickname from @Redneckchef video and report this guy... There are many replays uploaded, in this thread and in dailies... Not longer than yesterday @ASH32 uploaded replay with some russian and french idiot... Question is anybody is interested in putting some effort and report them? Or this whole disscussion ends without any actions?

#cleanracesmatters;)

So if you report a driver, what stops them from running on another account? People have stated on several occasions that they have multiple accounts, running dailies on one account and FIA events on the other.

last FIA race. Rammed in the first lap, rammed in the second and rammed in the fourth. no longer having any fun.

I'll play. I run two different accounts. One, I only use for FIA and one I only use for dailies.

I'm DR A and SR99 on both. If I got banned from my FIA account, could I race my alt? Sure, I guess, but I'd lose out on the 500+ points I have on the FIA account.

Here's a video of a shameful rammer from my FIA race yesterday. He didn't want me to overtake him and in hindsight I probably shouldn't have pushed past him like I did in retaliation. He tried to bomb me in to the hairpin and ended up ruining his own race. I think he ran out of fuel and had to pit on lap 14 and came last.

edit: some awful gear changes there from me. I was too busy concentrating on not getting hit.
