Knew I could only do the 1st slot on Saturday as we had friends coming over about 10 minues after the race finished. My afternoon consisted of yard work so only got a small amount of practice in but thought a top ten finish was attainable. Shouldn't have raced! The time constraints and me needing to get cleaned up in about ten minutes must have threw my brain for a loop. Qualified 16th with #16 on the door. Started on meds and coming in for my first pitstop put meds back on......didn't realize until two laps later when I noticed my times didn't improve. Seeing I was on meds again pissed me off and I hit the barrier on T4. Rage/no point racing now quit and that was my night. Try again on Wednesday

Manufacturers Race 4 - Alsace Village - 10 min race edit
Great battles with team mate @tpc_Racoon23 @Master Weasel
Starting from 15th, I knew a top 10 might be a tall order for me, but I felt up to the task.
Strategy was 8S/8/S/2M - however fuels consumption tripped me up a bit.
Enjoy

Oh, there you are! I wanted to mention you in my post but I couldn’t remember your ID. Good race, although it feels a bit weird appearing in someone's video.

I think you were in my top split race with Grove and Windfire; Merc driver right? Your connection was pretty bad throughout the race from my view. Causing our places to jump back and forth, and at one point your car was even stopped on the side of the track and then it teleported back to in front of us. Seemed like things were going well again before you spun. Sorry to hear.
Yeah, I was in the Merc. That race must have been the start of my internet issues. First time I've ever had an issue. Hope I didn't cause any incidents with my connection.

I haven't seen any of your stuff before but that was a really well edited entertaining video. I had to laugh at the first race with the amount of chaos caused by drivers slowing down to give positions back

Great races and congratulations on the result 👍

Glad to hear the video was good! I'm pretty new to editing and commentating videos, since I usually don't have time to do it. But yeah, that first race was... oh my haha  Thank you!

That 1st race, oh my... LMAO. What a catastrophe. Very very smart pit move in race 2. I'm kicking myself for not doing the same.

Right haha, that first race was just a mess. And yeah, I saw how much you were struggling to find your way through that pack and thought if you were having trouble, I'd certainly not have a better time and decided to bail on that fight.

a bit frustrating round. First time slot was ok than the Rig broke down and missed the next 3 races trying to fix we jump to the last race and...

Yeah we were way too aggressive witch cause us to unintentional elbow a few ppl and the nature of the track didn't help either with the track bank and off camber corners

In race I'm going to turn BB rearward to save tires so the turn-in will be better too.
Seaside hairpin and the Dragon's Tail final corners, will definitely use that rear BB for maximum rotation.

The Grid Start will probably help me. Remembering the DTG II Daily, had me running away from the M4s. No doubt probably due to people not getting along with the reverse layout. However, I love this track so much... I have to race it.

Didnt go completely as I expected, but not all too far away. Started p20, got off ok, but the back half of the field was a demo derby pack of destruction. I could have barged ahead a bit, but knowing how far off pace I was I just stayed at the back edge. Couple of wrecks moved me up. Couple of barge passers back through but one wrecked out again and blamed everyone else.:D

Ended up p16, so better than expected. Drove ok, solid and slow, but fairly steady and consistent. Basically 2 minor mistakes and a slide braking job in the hairpin on the final lap. Calling it a good night.

And nice job to @05XR8. Representing the Lexus nicely.👍

Good luck all, it's wild out there.:gtpflag:

Alrighty then. Flat out. No conserve anything. Just be on your P's and Q's. Race fair, please.
Quick room.

RC F is a rocket. M4 ain't catching it at any of the straights. M4 has the tyre wear. So, you fellow RC F users, square them corners and punch it! Use the torque thru the uphill esses before The Four Brothers. M4 will be on your rear bumper.

I was being held up by FF(P9). P4 was being patient behind(I had passed him earlier, while he was being held up by FF). My tyres were way better for some reason. FF was a bit slidey.

P7 was coming, but it was one lap to go. I messed up at the exit of The four Brothers. Yep, one of them got me. I just gradually moved over to not block. Braked early for the switchback. It worked. Even drag race from corner exit and just let the RC F pull me ahead.

Now, please... PLEASE! DO NOT GHOST AND PARK YOUR CAR AT T1 AS YOU EXIT THE PITS!!!!!
Holy smokes and gee whiz! I think it was the same M4 that did it twice to me. Come on, man. Was sitting P6 and dropped to P8. Was showing -.2 as I start a next lap. Dude is ghosting and then I get to the apex and unghosted. I get 2 seconds as I spin into the barriers!

Before that, I'm passing the start line. M4 ghosting and slowing. I get to the apex, unghosted and it's right front hits my left rear. I abort the lap. C'mon.

Anyway, there was a bit of carnage at the start. About four cars worth. I didn't get hit from behind. Rubbed the rabbit's foot and pressed on. Good luck.

So, why can we we use only two cars for nations cup this week? It just says Gr.4 cars. It's my first time participating so I don't know what's going on.
It's a two brand race using the M4 and RC F Gr.4 cars. Use from your garage or buy either one.

There was a recent race at Laguna Seca, using either the Chevrolet C7 or Porsche Cayman GT4. The Daily Races have featured Front wheel drive only Gr.4 cars.

PD have been mixing the races recently. Usually a Gr.4 race will mean any Gr.4 car. PD have been trying new combos.
These two cars are pretty even. M4 trades straight-line speed for better tyre wear. Makes it quicker for the last couple laps.

M4 has a turbo six-cylinder. RC F has a V8. Both are rear wheel drive and have seven forward gears.

RC F has grunt out of corners. Will hunt down the M4 from behind and/or pull away, when side by side or ahead.

Oh, nice!! But is this stated anywhere? I couldn't find it.

Still skeptical on whether to do this race or just skip it, albeit during a practice race, I managed to stay clear of the Meta BMWs as I was the lone Lexus. I'll wait on some of the reports here. :p
Think I may do the same. I’ve had some good clean racing the last few weeks and the hairpin in particular is making me nervous about another DR reset.

Also I can’t seem to put more than 3 laps together without making a mistake.

This race makes Monza Turn 1 look orderly.

Incident 1: Race 4, Lap 1, Turn 1

Out of turn 1's exit, a white Lexus turns in on me and a black/green M4, sending the Lexus and other BMW into a slide, while I get forced onto the inside grass and take a 4 second penalty for "forcing another car off track". Fantastic stewarding there.

Incident 2: Race 4, Lap 7, Final Hairpin

I go into the final hairpin a little too hot, knocking the M4 ahead of me wide. We get alongside each other on exit, only for the other M4 to put a wheel on the grass and spin into me, giving me another 4 second penalty and ending any chance of a top 10. Finished 13th.

Incident 3: Race 5, Lap 1, Hairpin after Sector 1

Having made up a few places after the initial corners, I take a 1 second penalty for getting caught in the middle of a BMW sandwich out of the hairpin. As I slide on the kerb trying to rejoin the track, the back half of the sandwich spins me out. He gets a 4 second penalty, but I get kicked down to 19th from 9th.

Incident 4: Race 5, Lap 4, Straight after Sausage Chicane

The back half of the sandwich strikes again, as he spins out my friend HeatAgi down the straight. I get past both of them, but Back Half gets away without a penalty for the obvious PIT maneuver.

Incident 5: Race 5, Lap 9, Sausage Chicane

I take 12th off a struggling Indonesian Lexus as we enter the chicane. He tries to stick his nose into the second turn's apex as I turn in, and we collide. Not getting the message, he tries taking the last apex as if I was not there trying to recover my car. We collide again, sending him off with a 1 second penalty and denying me a shot at 11th. I cling on to take 12th.
