Honestly, the mention of "Hollywood Effects" was probably used as a marketing term, to make the game seem more interesting. Iirc, what was being shown the instant that phrase was said, was a 458 spitting out some exhaust flames.

look the top gear-ish screen filters in replay? where the edge of the screen goes darker?

Other than that I can't think of any.

That, the vignetting (referenced above), and what looked like either partial speed blur or a shaky cam of some kind.

Eh, that's hardly worth getting upset over then unless it means more useless replay views that show trees or the windshield.

I'm not upset over it but I know what you mean.

If they did, It would not have taken them 6 years to model 200 of the things :) I suspect they were photographed and paintsteakingly manually modelled

this, PD didnt even out source there models, they made them all from scratch.

Actually, most of them were modelled from the ground up, but many cars were laser scanned. The McLarens for instance were laser scanned, and we got reports from employees confirming that.

Not impressed with the Grafix at all, not better than GT5. Now community features look awesome....Is that enough to get me to buy an XB360? Don't think so....btw who does hands free racing? Why do I need to open my Convertible or open doors in a racing game? This ain't midnight club......

Absolutely. Because no one opens car doors or puts the convertible top down in real racing, right? Couldn't you at least base your displeasure on something that makes sense?

Aw heck no. That is BULL SHOTS. The "real deal" is when the game is out. Trailers can deceive you sometimes. At least GT5 proved itself. Well not the best graphics(anti-aliasing) but it sure does look like the trailers

Not in NASCAR, where there are no car doors, at least. :sly:

About 5 months ago, shortly before GT5 was released, I considered seeling my Xbox because there weren't many exclusives that were good enough to make me play both consoles.
I am really, really glad I was too lazy to sell my Xbox because I can not wait for this game. I'll try not to get myself too worked up like I did with FM3 and end up building up impossible expectations, but still, really looking forward to this.

Also, I heard something about the Xbox getting a new processor and some more RAM some time near the holiday season, as well as some new copy protection software for the discs that should free up 1-2GB. Of course, these are just rumors, but if their true I'm thinking this game will use them.

The disc space is, at this point, a fact. I haven't heard anything about an increase in RAM, but the new CPU is already in the 360S as is; it comes the CPU and GPU onto one die. The only thing I can think of that would be newer is a smaller die size.

Not gonna lie, I'm NOT a fan of this fictional car in the game. I'd rather have the Oscar Myer Hotdogmobile in the game. At least it's real.

Look on the bright side, you won't have to use it, at least, that doesn't seem like something T10 would do. They seem more about letting you play the game the way you want to. I doubt you'll have to set a near impossible time with the warthog like you did with the X1 in GT5.
I actually love fictional cars in a Sim, as long as they're recreated realistically, because it's probably the only chance anyone will ever get to experience it.
Also, be careful what you wish for.

We live in reverse-worlds. lol. Shortly before GT5 was released I considered buying another PS3 for my man cave to run GT5 to free up the one in the living room so the wife could play her Netflix whenever she wanted while I play GT5. My expectations (which were pretty much nothing more than what PD put out there) weren't met am I'm so glad I didn't buy an additional PS3. The only thing keeping this one in the house is it's an excellent video streamer and Netflix ease of use for the wife.

LOL, Hey I'll drive the wienermobile if they put it in.

The Xbox wont be seeing an upgrade in ram or a better processor...i think your getting mixed up with what devs get and what we have...

What's this, you ask? The next generation of Xbox 360 development, that's what. With a shockingly small amount of fanfare, Microsoft has ushered in a striking new Xbox Development Kit, which is purportedly designed to increase efficiency and reduce cost for Xbox 360 dev teams. Aside from boasting an undisclosed uptick in RAM, built-in flash memory, a more capacious hard drive and a slimmer form factor, this XDK will also be sold at a "significantly reduced price from its predecessor." 'Course, the folks in Redmond aren't saying what exactly that sticker will look like, but those interested in taking the plunge regardless will also have the option to license a Sidecar attachment that enables debugging and disc emulation. We're told that said accessory can be shared among multiple XDK consoles, and in turn, it should lower the overall price to create, test, debug, and release an Xbox 360 or Xbox Live Arcade game. It's still a guessing game when it comes to an actual launch date, but it'll become "the standard kit" when new orders are fulfilled in the future. Feel free to peruse the gallery below if you're interested, and toss out a wild guess as to what that Sidecar will go for on eBay during the next century. Aim high, bub!

In the new trailer, the Audi R8 has its DRLs alight, which is already an improvement. I'd imagine they have put night racing in and it's being held up for E3 or beyond to continue the hype machine.
