Not to agree or disagree with your opinion, but you make it sound like that was impossible...
No! But it´s funny how people can judge this by an demo... I bet these people play with an gamepad and all assists on...

The sudden change of the steering ratio under certain conditions is definitely there. It's annoying even if you're using a gamepad because I countersteer too much. Probably I can get used to this but that's not how it should be.I'm truly stumped. It seems to me the assist is there but he is so adamant that it's not. I can't believe he would say that unless he was sure but the evidence is there. Very confused.
Was really hoping to play the demo of this today, but apparently you need to have a gold membership to do so.That's such a shot in the arm.👎
He is saying that the icon is showing the torque alignment.
Basically the direction of force the tire wants to go.
Drive straight and the torque alignment is straight ahead, obviously.
Going sideways and turning into a skid the tires will naturally want to align with the direction you are going.
Rears won't obviously but the front on a rack would gravitate towards the skid.
Maybe an easier way to imagine is if you were pushing a car but the tires were turned to the left. The torque alignment would be straight ahead.
Physically the tires are pointing left. But the TA would be straight ahead as that is the way the tires would end up pointing if you pushed long and hard enough.
He says that is what the icon displays.
Would love to see an external replay to show exactly what the tires are doing.
Interesting comment nonetheless.
Edit excuse my poor explanation.
It's a difficult one. Lol.
Did you check the driver's name? Was it a certain J. Christ, by chance?A white Bentley was on the road , it wasn't until I was out it's glare that I seen it was a Bentley but at the wrong angle it's nothing but a glowing white light on the track. No shape or form. Just pure light. They are definitely gonna have to fix that.
Someone in that vid posted:
"In real life that snapping is your differentials.... it's rear wheel drive.. that's what a rwd car does..."
I'm no expert but I'd like to know how valid this is.
Available on Friday for everyone else I think.

Nice theory, but the steering wheel icon is right next to the "pedals" indicators (accelerator, brake and clutch). It would be very weird if the steering icon wouldn't show actual steering position but some kind of steering torque measurement. It would be nice to have a clarification/confirmation.He is saying that the icon is showing the torque alignment.

My take on the demo was that it reminded me a lot of PGR the sense of speed and sound and the graphics have a more stylized look to them rather than "realistic". It feels like Forza is doing its own thing which I like, when most people think Forza should be more like GT and vice versa. Forza 4 just seems like a more arcadey fun game and it should stick to that.
Pros:
Steering and Physics much improved (controller only so far)
Graphics look solid (Forza has found its own style)
AI is much better at avoiding you
Hard Difficulty provides a Challenge but is possible
Cons:
Damage seems even more limited than FM3 (Just scratch decals and light dents, high quality though)
Ingame cars are no where near showroom/autovista quality (Small improvement on FM3)
Oh woe is me. I use only 2 speakers & subwoofer connected to the computer. Were you using a *proper* audio setup?![]()

To see torque alignment in all it's glory push a shopping trolley. Casters give the best example.
Ingame models are right up there with GT5 models and damage is gr8 as well...
Its pretty much a sim...Dunno what are you trying to prove by calling it Arcade game lol....Stop being a fanboy nd enjoy the game
What? Did he say he didn't enjoy it?
Stop bashing for god sake. I think FM4 demo is a perfect balance between arcade and sim, and that's not a bad thing.

Sorry dude, PGR was a perfect balance between arecade and sim, DIRT is a perfect balance. This is a game is FAR more sim than arcade.
buttsneezeWhy would you put together a 'word soup' to try and justify the assist? We know it's directly changing the angle of the front wheels. There's no use trying to explain it any other way.
Did that person say that that person didn't like it?
He just said that it's not an arcade game. Gosh.
