Physics aside forza has something pcars will never have.
Fun factor.
Fun factor.
I reckon fun factor is probably one of the most subjective traits aroundPhysics aside forza has something pcars will never have.
Fun factor.
Of course there is no steering rack in my wheel, that's just stupid. However, the rotational forces that are felt in a real car steering wheel can be simulated in my toy wheel but not my toy gamepad. I didn't claim the physics where more realistic because I play with a wheel. I was saying that judging the physics with a wheel was better than trying to judge them with a gamepad.
And you're right, I'm completely blinkered because I have negative things to say about Forza. Check my posting history and see all the positive things I have to say about it. There really is only one group of people in this discussion who have the blinkers on, those who can't accept any criticism of 'their' game![]()
Fair enough that's your opinion and the one that matters most for youPerhaps. To me then it's fun factor, pcars is frustrating through bugs and glitches, the pad play is awful and kills any fun left over from the bugs. Career mode was also very dull. There's not a lot to keep going back to it for.
And I have to agree with @FordGTGuy in that there isn't that much in it physics wise. So I certainly don't feel like I'm missing out on realism by playing forza.
Yes mate. Luckily my Fanatec wheel works on all three systems (PC, PS4 and XBone). I've been that impressed with PCars that I decided to buy it on all three systems as I didn't want to miss out on any of the comps that the various different groups I game with were running! Pretty sad to be honest but gaming turns me back into a kid!Hi Slim you play P cars on PS4 with a wheel? Just curious.
Hi slim I just sent a Pm. Or conversation or something lol.Yes mate. Luckily my Fanatec wheel works on all three systems (PC, PS4 and XBone). Idk. I don't play PCars a ton, but when I do, I end up losing 3-5 hours just lost listening to the sounds & doing hot laps. The selling point was allowing me to use my G25 wheel/shifter again.Physics aside forza has something pcars will never have.

Looks like Failrace is already starting his new set silly car builds

Have to agree about hotlapping in Forza. I'd hate to think how many hours I spent chasing that tenth of a second to get ahead of a team mate! When it fist came out I could but now I'd still rather hotlap in forza 5. Sounds are equally as good for sure. Would probably play pcars more if the eladerboard chasing was as fun as forza.
Why don't you follow your own advice?
Yes, you post videos, but you also contribute to, and sometimes even start, the off-topic discussion
Fair enough that's your opinion and the one that matters most for you
However, with a pad I'd agree with you. With a wheel there is no contest to me and that's when the PCars physics come to life, as you would expect.
At the end of the day it all opinions![]()
I thought you were done with the discussion? It is not even close and there is no contest in my opinion. And by the way you're not some sort of guardian for Forza whose job it is to 'call out' those of us with differing opinions to you. If you don't agree with somebody else's opinion counter what they are saying with your own well thought out arguments. That's what debate is all about. You do know where the word forum originates?Making comments like "it's not even close" and "there is no contest" is not helping you out here with it just being an opinion. It's one thing to come into the thread and say you like it better but it's another to make up comments that are only going to rile people up for no reason.

Because it doesn'tWhy? Apparently it doesn't matter as the mod has pointed out.
Do you know what it is to drive and incite an argument by inflating your own opinion as a point of superiority over others by making their opinions look stupid?
That's exactly what you're doing when you say things like "not even close" or "there is no contest".
I completely respect your opinion about PCars but you don't sit here and see me saying that Forza has better physics and that's a no-brainer.
Because it doesn't![]()
Dude lighten up, you absolutely set yourself up for that. I'm expressing an opinion. One I have strong views on and have good arguments to back up. Either counter it or ignore it. Don't let it bother you. I'm a nobody on a forum with a different opinion to you, what does it matter?Sooo... basically you're just trolling?
I thought Darin was simply happy to be playing the new game but now you've put a different spin on it I can't look at those videos in the same way again.Anyone looking for footage of COTA can find it in the ISRTV 2-hour video posted above. It's about 2/3 of the way in if I remember correctly. I think Darin is in love with his new co-host
As far as the controller vs wheel debate, I've played every Forza with a controller, switching to a wheel about 5 months after FM5 was released. The controller simply does not translate as much information as a wheel. A controller vibrating at just beyond the peak of traction vs. losing resistance in a wheel are completely different experiences. On a wheel, the first thing that happens is you're going to briefly turn the wheel further into the turn (you're physically pushing the wheel in this direction). On a controller, the only resistance you're fighting against is the spring in the analog stick which has zero bearing on what the tires are actually doing.
Won't argue there. The hot lapping in FM5 is a ton of fun, and the simplicity of getting in & go is much more appealing. As said, it's the ability to use my G25 again where I still really like PCars. If I was up for buying a wheel set for the One, it'd probably be the end of PCars for a while, but I have no desire to do so when the Forza series is still fun as it is with a controller for me.When it fist came out I could but now I'd still rather hotlap in forza 5. Sounds are equally as good for sure. Would probably play pcars more if the eladerboard chasing was as fun as forza.
