There's no pre-loading a full game yet (ultimate edition), there's just a placeholder which right now says "0 gb" instead "44 Gb" as some days ago. Free space of my XOne's HDD is the same all these days, that's the point to control for me

From what I can figure, we in the UK will get to play FM6 at 14:01 time on the 10/9

All that UTC malarkey seems a bit wavy though so if another UK person could check me, that'd be handy :D

2 in the afternoon is a good time to have a beer too. Gonna be a good day

It said UTC for the GTA preorder, but it unlocked at 12:01 GMT so with any luck we'll be on it just after midnight.

Oh what the hell I thought that I could play the ultimate edition before the actual release. On my xbox it says Sept 18.
Why?
Region?....

EDIT: I just saw that those who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition will be able to play starting from Sept 10. Still don't understand why they didn't update the message on the xbox one interface.

Mine says the 15th, I am sure they will work that out, they would have hell to pay if they did not. In the meantime, it is good to have choices.

I haven't been looking forward to a game release this much since GT4

That was the last really good GT game imo

Must be 10 years ago by now?

It'll be 11 years in December for Japan. February for the rest of us.

On-topic: The game is definitely not pre-loading. That file size is just a placeholder. Got confirmation tonight.

Not everybody has a super duper internet connection to download 40gb+ in a couple of days, I hope Microsoft and T10 are aware of this.

Of course they are. I'd hope customers in that situation wouldn't expect Microsoft themselves to do anything about it, especially when physical copies are available.

Indeed. The above made me give a wry smile and nod of the head

Did they tell you the correct install size? I've got 54gb - they must have freed up some of the space, because I only removed a couple of smaller games yesterday - and I'm wondering if I'll need to remove Project Cars which realistically doesn't stand a snowball in heck's chance once 6 is out.

I was going to uninstall FM5 but unfortunately with the frame rate issues I've been experiencing on Xbone recently Project Cars is more likely to be first against the firing squad wall (esp as I have the PC version). FM5 wil be next though.

Right now I only have Forza games, PCars and a couple of tiny Gold games so both racers have gained a stay of execution for the time being.

I'll only delete F5 once I've transferred the vinyls. Even then hopefully you can delete just the main data.

Luckily I won't have to delete anything, but I fear I'm looking at the end of September now before I can actually play the game. But do I want to spend another A$152?

You really want us to answer that?

lol

Already spent A$530 on the console. Getting the Ultimate Edition now would bring the total to A$682. Even if I can sell the digital standard edition, A$50 is the most I could hope for. That's one expensive exercise. I'm simply trying to reason myself out of just impulse-buying it, because I really want that game on my other console, NOW! lol

You can't already? I thought player save data a data and the actual game were separate under the manage game menu. I'm not at home to check right now, though.

I probably won't return to fm5 once this is out. There's not much point really.
Exactly. Not a single point at all other than whatever is necessary to swap over designs or tuning set ups. After F6, I will be deleting F5. It came free with my X1 so it wont be a loss at all to delete. Never cared much for it anyway.

It's not that I think it's a bad game, it's that fm6 has everything fm5 does and loads more, so there is absolutely no point in returning to it.

The only question I have is if I wipe FM5 will my save remain stored in the cloud? You never know when Turn 10 will revive the Rewards programme, maybe you'll need to buy seven hundred cars when FM7 hits lol.

You have the option (iirc) to delete 'locally' - your X1, or 'everywhere' - your X1 and the cloud

Double check me of course, but that rings a bell

I think my locally deleted FM4 save still exists on the network since my rewards page shows as my having bought hundreds of cars. Of course there's always the danger of wiping it out by syncing it with a fresh game on reinstall as has happened to other users on these pages.
