Also cars that don't appear in dealership as prize like the prize cars from GT1 to GT4 is back here, those modifications seen in the previews of this mode are the prize cars from this mode.

I'm sorry, but I just don't understand all these "good price" comments.

For €30, you only get extra races on existing tracks, with cars you already own, and you can't even tune them for the races, apparently not even customize them, similar to split-screen mode.

Yes, you get six cars, but you already own them or can buy them. They just look slightly different.

It's not worth the money. I'd rather wait until the DLC is on sale.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. GT7 is available for €45 on Amazon, without any discounts. The DLC costs €30.
You're paying 66.6% of the current full price for GT7 for the DLC and only getting about 20%, or less, of the content.

I figured it’d be in the $40AUD range. I was getting it regardless of price. Acquiring that Hakosuka…

Like, damn, finally! We got the Racing Modification from GT2!

As always, PD give us those surprises, but where’s the Mazda RX-3 and TE27 Corolla to have battles with the Skyline?

Another thing is the AE86 D-Tuned. I mentioned this in regards to update 1.44:

We’ll see. ;)

Hopefully. Seeing all those different liveries.

If this has previously been discussed then please disregard, but does this image suggest they've given Gr.1 a rethink? This image shows "Gr.C Memories". Seems weird to use Gr.C instead of Group C unless they've created a new (sub?)category?

It's my entirely independent opinion that this is absolutely a test-bed for a game career structure for GT8 (PD being aware that the Cafe wasn't entirely well received) and its popularity, or lack thereof, will inform that game's direction.
Given that this is absolutely their pattern of implementation, I 100% agree.

Remember the GT6 "daily" races? They were the test bed for Sport Mode.
It is: it's the Power Pack-exclusive "GP-Tuned" model.
Exactly as suspected and I am HAPPY

Nope.. I rather use that 30€ on AC EVO. 30€ for offline only dlc content is nuts in 2025. They should have included this to GT8 in future.
Yesterday, I quite literally spent double this amount on 2 hamburgers, 2 blood orange sour ales, and a single desert that we split. You do you. I'll enjoy the crap out of this DLC until GT8 ships.

Not to mention, there's nothing to indicate this is a one time thing. Future updates may bring more content.

And....what content it is!!!!!

The preselcted cars with 3 difficulty levels as per which car you choose reminds me a but of Sophy 1.0 (i think it was called that) when we first had the chance to try out Sophy on 4 tracks with easy to hard difficulty levels. Where easy was on much better tires than sophy and so on.

This could work. Let Sophy be great again as in the beginning but give me a little better car. I don't mind as my ego is small enough already.

I do wonder how these "new" cars will be implemented. Will they even be used in Sport Mode / future Daily races / future Time Trials, and if so, will players without the DLC even be able to rent them?

Basically, what I'm getting at is:
  • If the cars are different in performance to the ones we already had*;
  • If they can be used in online races and time trials;
  • And if players need the DLC to rent these cars for online, which would in turn lock access to some players...

Then I can already see a few select individuals argue it is "Pay-to-win". I'm sure that won't be a heated discussion... :boggled:

*I'm especially worried about the Beetle. Even if it retains the original engine and drivetrain, I'm unsure if you can have similar tire width with the car we already have. That would make the car different in how it handles.

I don't really see how these 6 cars will be much different to the anniversary cars we got. I expect we can use the new ones like the others

I suggested awhile ago if they could get Sophy to drive at the players level based on the players lap times that would make for really good racing.
It doesn't do that now? 🤔

I've noticed that the racing increased in difficulty as I move through the field. As far as lap times go, I never compared them to others, but with all the "rubber banding" talk assumed that it slowed as well as sped up (although not as radically).

@SoulSilvera

Dailies are almost always the GR 1,2,3,4 cars and a few street cars. The DLC cars will only appear as special selections IF they want to help drive sales of the DLC. EVEN IF, these cars could in some way be used against the regular cars in online play, "pay to win" is not a thing since PD implement BoP. Could they be used in lobbies? Maybe, but who cares? That's up tot he host to determine what's in and what's out

Probably, probably not (maybe TTs, unlikely Dailies/GTWS), and not relevant/no (all TTs and multiplayer races have free rentals).

It's probably like how many online-capable games handle DLC: All of the assets are patched into the game, whether you own the DLC or not. So if your online opponent is using a car you don't have, you can still see it. And this would also allow you to rent that car as necessary for online events.

race with only preselect car... very bad... i don't understand whty i can't make this power pack race wth my prefer car, for me very disappointed
I'll only be disappointed if it's only 3 to choose from over every series. If for example in Group C I can pick any Group C car, that's fine. But we'll see.

That in these races the damage will stay (or require you to stay for repairs longer periods in the garage) and not repair itself? :D
It just means that if you qualified on pole and screwed up your race, you can't restart the race from pole. You'll have to go through practice & quali again.

I actually also think it’s on the pricier side.
Was expecting $20.
I think many here believed the fake a while back that claimed this would be $60 so it actually being half of that seems cheap to them maybe?

Anyway. I will get it of course.

Originally i was more excited.
Now I'm kind of on the fence.
Also how much in Canadian funds? Cause if I convert $30.00USD that's $40.00CDN which is WAY too expensive considering there isn't really anything new.
Spec III is more exciting cause it's adding new cars and tracks for free.
This for so much money doesn't do that....just gives you more races to do in the same places we have already been doing them.

I'll wait to see once it's out and reviewed to make my final decision but right now I'm leaning towards not getting it.

Besides endurance races , have the specified the length of other normal races. Can we expect more than the usual 10, max 15 laps, and will it be possible to save the event in the middle (normally in F1 games I qualify, then race the next day)?

Not sure about all the negativity, considering all the free content we had, $30 doesn't seem like much to ask.

As someone said earlier, I ordered Chinese for 2 last night and it was over £40.. all about perspective. I won't be seeing that Chinese again (in a way I want to anyway) but I will get plenty of use out of this DLC

The poll on page 1 suggests otherwise.

Fair. 30% of us still thought it would be more expensive than it turned out to be.

Have you played the regular single player? There's several races where the choice is limited. This is a Sophy highlight pack, and Sophy shines in balanced races.

Interesting as it’s being listed as update 1.65 (not 1.64 as previously shown)

We ate lunch there yesterday. A single cocktail is $15-$17. A Pizza is $30CDN.

How much replay value was there in our meal? Man....people need to get out of the house more.

I don't feel like the gif is warranted. It's not an unreasonable expectation that we would've been able to use our own collection, within the pre-defined specs of each event, one-make races notwithstanding.

I thought it would be in the 40.00 / 49.99 price range.

But 29.99€ for what they deliver feels almost more than 49.99 since the events are even more restrictive than I would have think.

I must say PDI is very good at pissing people off. 30€ will piss off quite few people and when the sales of this dlc tank they will put the DLC on sale and piss off people who paid the full price. They just can not win anymore. 19,90€ or even 24,90€ would have been acceptable, but no, they decided to try greed instead.

Pre selected cars is a bit disappointing, but the rest looks pretty good. That type race structure should have been a thing from the start.

It will probably be around $45 cad after taxes, not bad considering they've given us free content for like 8 years now.
