Honestly, I don't like it. I think it's a L for Power Pack. If I can use any vehicle from my garage, where is the benefit of using a less powered car? In my opinion it was a great decision to limit the selection and rewarding the player by more Credits if they use a weaker car (110% or 120% more credits). Having endless opportunities isn't always the best option cause in the end you still use the same cars you like and know. With the selection of 3 cars you have to use cars you don't know that you may like them. I liked the system cause I drove cars which I otherwise would not have driven.

Guess I have to see it with my own eyes but for now I disagree. It isn't a good decision. Proper mid-save possibilites would be.

I'm going to assume the cars in your garage that you can use have to be one of the 3 you can choose from, but just with any custom liveries and such.

Using own cars in PP is easily the best addition of this update for me.


BTW as 'old' GT player since edition 1 it was kinda fun/ironic to read all the comments about people being unhappy with it being an actual Porsche instead of a RUF haha. Good times.

Hope it won't destroy the challenge though. I had really trouble winning some races on 2 chillis

There will be restrictions on what car you can use, tuning, PPs and so on. You won't be able to roll over the events with any car. Curious to see how those restrictions will apply.

Plus nothing prevents you for selecting one the 3 pre-selected cars.

Garage cars on the Power Pack could be something useful for GT8. Imagine the whole career like this: "you can use your garage cars, but if you win in these 2 or 3 cars and tunes we provide, you get some (useful=not parts) bonus."

I think you will have to use the same car as the 3 pre-selected one, except it can come from your garage, and you may have some leeway in terms of tuning and setting, as long as you remain in the restrictions (will there be 0, 1 and 2 chilis restrictions or will it be more lenient... to be seen)

Somehow for me (PS4) it shows up as 117.256 GB??? I know it has to reinstall the whole game but usually the download shows up as much smaller

It doesnt say ANY car right? Maybe you can still pick 3 options but with liveries. Maybe you need to complete it on 1 or 2 chilis first to be able to use own cars.

Looking at this latest addition to 911s at the game - I can only wonder how difficult it can be to add an actual Porsche Cup car to Gran Turismo?! All these years and we dont have one of the most fundamental real life racing series/spec in this "enthusiast" game. I utterly am flabbergasted..

We NEED a CUP spec porsche to have one-make races without trying to mess with "tuning allowed but pretty please use this tune to race.."

Basically, this is what I had been waiting for. I knew PD wouldn't disappoint me.

The Carrera RS was fine despite the lack of a GT wing, as it only really needed the ducktail and the bumper ducts. I like that the proper GT kit came with the widebody Turbo S.

When it comes to the Power Pack, using a garage car can break some races, but I welcome the feature, especially now with weeklies in the Power Pack itself. The default cars are still useful if you either lack a car to compete or want to earn double chili in every event.

GT Sport had a Cup endurance series. But it used the road version of the 991 GT3 RS.
