In Civic FK8 the driver always steets with one hand until the last gear is engaged. From version 1.0 to now :)
A lot of cars have the same thing with one arm on the wheel. Polyphony have too long of a "gear coming up, put hand on gearstick" window in my opinion. Maybe they think a shorter window would be distracting. Maybe an option to go between them if possible.

Theufcveteran,
Thank you for your reply.

I think it's just a matter of setting some parameters. Everything works, because the hand does return to the steering wheel, just a little too late.

I wonder if this is also a recurring problem in cars other than the FK8:
"During time trials, it's impossible to flash the headlights of this car."

I woke up to return to Gran Turismo after a short break again, because this update did indeed add a new engine to the Civic. Support for this game is slowly coming to end.

Yes, it should be something they could adjust. Hopefully they do because it does look a bit unnatural.

I may well be mistaken but in race cars the arm appears to go quicker back to the wheel, in road cars it lingers on the stick for ages (and karts)?

Doesn't seem like it's been mentioned here or anywhere, but the A70 Supra's default side decal seems to always disappear whenever I make the camera face its side with the right stick during races. It does appear normally during replays, weirdly. I noticed this from a few months ago and it seems like it has yet to be fixed.

That might be true indeed, I forgot about race cars with gearsticks, was thinking of paddles. Will check - I'll take your word for it though, very likely could be the case. Definitely in road cars it takes a while.

You know that is how he likes to drive that car...
I'd like to add two more possibilities to this:
  • The driver calculates the cost of repairs to this car (unfortunately, it's a relatively unreliable car). This makes him a bit sad and distracting.
  • He calculates how long it takes for GT7 to update on his old PS4 :)
