GT mode is back!!!

This thread is purely about the announcement of GT League for December, which is basically the Gt mode we've all been missing. This thread will only be used to discuss anything related to GT league.


I feel this new mode is a big relief for the fate of GT Sport, because people who want a good career mode will now buy GT Sport (If of course, it's good.)

Legitimate question. IF PD is implementing a GT mode, that means All of GT mode will occur on the EXISTING tracks . Meaning any new tracks WON'T be featured in the GT mode, that is unless Polyphony decides to incorporate new events with new tracks. A HUGE issue I had with gt5/6 were seasonal events. They should have NEVER had that and instead just added the events to the game permanently. You would have 400 events by the end of a games lifespan as FREE dlc.

I tend to disagree. I find this GT to be the best in terms of obviously graphics, but also physics and smoothness. It lacks in soo many other ways though. Even the selling point of it being online is average.

Seasonal events were great! Every week you had a new track to master and a different car to drive around it. Kept it fresh and interesting. Hopefully they bring it back.

why just not make the events permanent, you get new events each week and they NEVER expire.

I'd say because seasonal events were run off their servers? If they did it like that, they'd have to make an update everytime so you could download it onto your system. Doing it like that would create storage issues on your console.

In the olden dayz of Gran Turismo, we pretended we were racing by trying to catch a bunch of spread-out, braindead AI road blocks. One or two of the road blocks were given a half lap advantage to create an artificial challenge. We repeated this basic gameplay loop for hundreds of 'racing' events.

It was a novelty for the first two games, but by the fifth and sixth game design of the racing genre had passed Gran Turismo by.

More quality content is always good. But what with online, Driving School/time trialing and the livery creator, I'm only about 50% through the existing single-player campaign.
