Not for me. I'll be playing later tomorrow night. I get home from work around 5pm est. So i should be on around 8pm est
I'll jump on there with you. Sorry for the double post. I don't know how to combine this reply post with my last. I leave in 10 min to go get it. Wow. I will have it my hands shortly. It's been a long wait girls and boys. Man I'm excited.

When I get the game tomorrow I will be running laps to set up both the car and my controler to get things dialed in. Anyone is welcomed to join me. I will set up a lobby with 2 90 minutes practice sessions.

Matt, glad I was able to help. Knocking a second off a lap time is awesome!

When will you set up the lobby? Need practice with some new setups and such.

How excited are you :gtpflag:

What times are all of you getting with the GT4 round silverstone? I've found I'm getting consistently around 2:13.5 to 2:14.5 but my best has been around 2:13.1 - typically I haven't been able to do this since.

My best so far is around 2.15. I'm hoping to get consistent around the 2.14 mark.

2:08's are possible in the Aston

Yes you had a really good pace those first laps.

@Zakspeed_TV How did you manage to save your tires all the way to lap 23 before pitting, without loosing pace? :O

Not sure i was holding back a bit because it was the first time i had run with mechanical failure on, how many laps would a GT3 car do in real life, on tires?

I would like a video of a lap under 2:13.

I don't know how to take those high speed right turns properly
If the USA guys set up in there afternoon it will be tonight for the GMT guys ?

Probably aound 2pm Eastern time. Then again at 6pm.

Am I the only one who after last night wishes they chose zolder instead of hockenheim on the very first poll? Last night was the first time I drove on it and I have to say, it's rather excellent. Loads of overtaking opportunities and a nice mix of corners.

I think I'm supposed to be playing with some friends of mine tonight so I won't be available for racing with you guys, but I am so hyped for this series now after only a few online races, I'm going to be on most evenings looking to race and practice with you guys (and girl).

so best thing to do now (till may 31st) is to practice silverstone!?

when will the teams and cars be picked!?

As far as I'm aware, teams and cars will be picked after qualifying (no point picking teams now as we don't know what tiers people are going to be in).

I think it was decided that whoever was fastest would choose their car first, second place would choose their car next, third would then choose there's... And so on. Not too sure about this system tbh, as whoever is fastest is only going to build the gap over the other drivers if they get their preferred car, but I can't really see any other way to go about it.

I don't really understand why we need to limit the cars to three of each, from the test races it seems all have different aspects they are better at and each one caters to different driving styles. It just means that I probably won't get the car I've been practicing with and I'll be stuck with one that I don't like seeing as the Ruf seems to be a favourite choice. Especially seeing as there are a good 10 liveries for each car.

That's just the luck of the draw. The only way to increase the chance of getting your car of choice is to qualify with a quick time.

Personally I'm a bigger fan of the mclaren, it's very well balanced and while the porsche, sorry, Ruf has a tiny amount of understeer, the mclaren has a small amount of oversteer under heavy acceleration, which I prefer.

I'd hate to be paired with the Aston Martin, it sounds brilliant, but it understeers as you are going through corners and then has quite a lot of oversteer coming out of them. I'm yet to try the BMW, audi, Mercedes, and ginetta.

I've only driven the Ginetta, didn't want to get to attached to any of the cars before I find out what I'll be driving for the series. ;)

After the Qualifying ends and the GT Pros are organized 1-14. The Draft order on how GT Pros will pick will come after Qualifying..

I've had a go in a of them and found I like the Ruf the most so far but I've really struggled with it on some tracks (tbh that's more of a setup issue though). Going to put in some more time with the Audi later though.

Spooky, what do you think of the Ginetta? I liked it when I had a go but it was only a couple of laps.

so everyone is setting a lap time. members will be devided by 3 (to create the tiers) and then the first oft each tier will choose first, second best after that... and so on!
so it would be tough to be last in pro tier and get the last car instead of beeing first in med tier and choose a car first! get me!? or am i misunderstanding!?

example: 30 drivers, so its 3 tiers with 10 drivers. number 9 in pro gets the last car, number 10 (is number 1 in tier 2) can choose a car first.

I think the pro picks cars and players for other tier's also

So if your pro team mate is driving the ruf you will be driving ruf

Seems OK lol, but I have nothing to compare it against except the understeery Aston GT4.

Makes sense, so effectively teams will have three members? One per tier?

That GT4 is a right pig compared to the GT3's. Btw I was gonna take a video from behind of your 2:14 lap yesterday but for some reason my stupid share button didn't want to work. Might be useful so you can see it from behind for some more perspective on where you can make some time.

Sorry for double post, using my phone!

Thanks for trying 👍 I know I can definitely shave some time on the exit of Stowe and the entry/exit of Vale.

Let me know if you want to practice later and I'll try and be a bit more savvy with the share options. I still don't know how people are getting under 2:10's though, I reckon I could get a 2:12 if everything was perfect but nothing lower.

Spreadsheet will be updated today sorry for the delays everyone

Xkubunt, you need to stop thinking about what you perceive your best time will be.

Guys I've been thinking about this qualifying. Ten minutes on Silverstone is going to equal less than 5 laps (2.1x5=10.5), and one of those is going to be an out lap, meaning we get at most 3 laps.

3 laps isn't exactly a lot of laps to determine your future in this series. There's a good chance that some of us will end up invalidating at least one of our laps, and with a couple of mistakes on the other laps, there's every chance that someone who is genuinely very quick has only managed to post a mediocre time. There might even be a few people who don't post a time at all.

I'm thinking that we should increase the time to something like 20 or even 30 minutes, to give everyone enough time to get in the best lap they're capable of.
