I just changed my pre-order to the collectors edition. The anticipation is really starting to build up, and I want the full package man. I waited too long for this to miss out on the extras, especially the book.

considering this is a very anticipated title, it should carry a lot of weight

Not sure why UK people didn't realize that the game would of been released on the Friday. They always are so to say its unexpected is not really fair.

There have been exceptions (Though I can't think of them off the top of my head).

Man, they should make a SE edition without the SLS competition so people can enjoy all the things an SE person would pay without having to stress about become the fastest SE edition racer.

Nice way to recoup your costs from getting a Signature Edition

Not really. Take away the car and you're paying $200 for the collectors edition. The problem is that the sig edition it just outrageously overpriced. Throw in a DFGT and alot of people would happily pay that much, but that car is not worth that much at all. Especially when you consider the price will go down when more are in circulation come release date.

Nope, you need to register using the card you get in the SE I think, and in that you probably have to include your address, country of residence etc.

Yeah Datsun is kind of strange nowadays. I learned to drive in a 1959 Datsun sedan, with a four speed shifter on the column. That was a long time ago!

I don't think so. Probably confused it with the signature edition. That's the one that comes in a black cookie tin.
We haven't seen the CE packaging, not the US at least. How is the die cast car packaged I wonder.

Very interesting question. Because the die cast wouldn't be in the gt5 box cause its too big. My guess is that it'll be a separate box. Who knows?!?!

Also makes me wonder if the APEX magazine is indeed the same size as a PS3 game box. It looks like it which is kind of disappointing. No wonder it's 300 pages.

Nevermind about the die cast car. Looking at the box i looks just wide enough for the car and way to thick for just the game and book.

So pretty much, the 'premium packaging' means.. just a larger box, better design etc.. 👎

I just preordered the CE from Gamestop for the McLaren F1 but I can't find the NASCAR image anywhere. Are they just sticking with the normal #20 paintjob for it or what?

Hmmm, Dave I'm pretty sure we have. The car, book, key chain, and game are all going to fit in here. That's my bet.

Notice the scale of everything. Then imagine it all tucked away in there. Probably then it is just wrapped in plastic.
