GT5 - Collector's Edition

I am astonished why the chrome line pack has got NO asian car...
maybe because there will be enough skylines (minimum 400) in the game already...LOL

edit: does anyone knows if the cars from the chrome line pack can be used from the very beginning in GT5? Or will I first have to manage a certain sum of licences, races or so?

I'd hope they are, they are 'bonus cars' it would sound right for them to be in Arcade mode, not sure about GT mode though..

Hmmm, Dave I'm pretty sure we have. The car, book, key chain, and game are all going to fit in here. That's my bet.

Notice the scale of everything. Then imagine it all tucked away in there. Probably then it is just wrapped in plastic.

I'm pretty sure everything will fit in there.. the car will probable be on top of everything in the box.

For some reason, Gamestop has removed the GT5 Collectors Edition from their site - and from their "Turismo Tuesdays" pre-order page.

Does anyone have any information about this?

they did that a few days ago... additionally, a member who asked about it in store was told it was also removed from the computers in-store. so basically, if you want a collector's edition at this point, you can't get it from gamestop. others have confirmed that best buy and amazon still have them listed.

technically, if you think about it, a collector's or limited edition should be hard to come by. it's kinda crappy when you see "limited edition" games sitting on shelves a year later

They most likely have burned through their allocated amounts for the CE . Online at least . The store I'm buying from was still taking preorders as of yesterday , so try calling stores in your area.

I totally agree.

I remember the HALO 3 Legendary Edition and how it was supposedly near impossible to get - my Gamestop still has 2 brand new ones in their back room.

Is it me or does there seem to be much less in the UK one than in the US one.

To be honest I think it's because the Signature Edition is available to you guys. They don't want the two to be similar or more people would buy the less expensive CE there instead.

On Play.com it appears to only state the stealth cars as a bonus with the standard edition. Can anyone confirm?? Surely you get the stealth cars with the CE?

And does anyone know if the Chromeline models are just variants of cars already in the standard game?

I want to inform my decision on choosing Standard or Collectors Edition.

Stealth cars are per retailer so maybe it's up to them to include them in the Collectors edition or not. On Amazon.co.uk the normal edition comes with 2 Stealth cars but the Collectors Edition doesn't :/

I really hope Gamestop.ca has the GT5 collector's edition. I switched from GT5 US of A gamestop.com to Gamestop.ca. IF somehow it says it doesn't say non-instock or they won't be getting it, i'm jumping off the building. Those CSR people on the phone gamestop.ca assures me they have it but didn't sound confident.

That would be cool, since my birthday is on the 15th. One small problem is that, if it did come out on the 16th, Assassins Creed Brotherhood comes out that day as well. So I wouldn't be playing AC that much that week.
